A perfect evening, delicious food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere.
My husband and I have a few dietary restrictions, and there was absolutely no hesitation in tweaking the tasting menu to ensure that we had the fullest and most enjoyable experience - going much further to the simple adjustment we suggested. I can’t say which was my favourite course, every one was exquisite, but the strawberry and white chocolate dessert was something special to finish the meal.
We’ll definitely return!

Perfect restaurant for a special birthday treat, lunch time on a Friday was very quiet so we enjoyed attentive staff and a wine waiter that topped up our glasses as soon as they looked a little low. The restaurant is small and intimate, lovely furnishings and a view of St. George Street. We decided on the 3 course lunch rather than the tasting menu, the food was amazing, it looked a million dollars and tasted just as good. We had a bottle of the Roussillon "Cuvée Michel Roux Jr & Michel Chapoutier which was a lovely fragrant white wine - perfect for a hot day. Great experience.

ROUX: 78th Birthday Fine Dining Lunch . Chefs Tasting Menu with Wine paring. Absolutely wonderfully presented, colourful and deliciously full of flavour. Roux at Parliament Square must resemble Heaven. Fabulous staff who also presented a signed card from the chef and team and a happy birthday treat at the end. A big THANKS.

Roux is not a very intimate restaurant and the lighting (during the day) is quite bright. Sat by the window we were also close to a ceiling speaker that was playing typical background music that seemed quite loud.

Staff, whilst enthusiastic were quite young and lack a little experience especially for a 'fine dining' location.

The menu was perfectly adequate with a 3 course or an 8 course option. The amuse bouche was very good as was the bread (half a slice per person!!) and the smoked onion butter.

Wine list is extensive although a little overpriced. Wine service was slow and not at all attentive, I had to ask twice for empty glasses to be topped up.

Food was well prepared and very good quality. I do wonder if 3 slices of carrot and a small slice of fennel really fits the 'an accompanyment of garden vegetables' description.

I wouldn't rush back but not the worst meal I have ever had, certainly not the best value.

Although food adequate it was not up to the standard you would expect from this type of establishment. Placed in a corner of an empty room, slow drink service (waited at least 15 minutes for our drinks), food luke warm. Felt like the forgotten people with the other room full and waiters more attentive to that room. Very disappointing.

The foodie experience was as good as we expected - really flavoursome and a good range of choices. Beautifully presented. However, we were a bit disappointed in the patchy attention to one of us needing to be gluten Free. we had told them when booking, they confirmed this understanding when we arrived. And, yes they made lovely fresh GF rolls - when we sent back the gluten filled bread they gave us! And, they still served gluten filled treats with our Coffee/tea at the end of our meal. It felt like we were nagging them about something that should be standard awareness these days. Hence we have down graded our service rating. So, all in all, we left feeling we had had lovely food but not that great service and the 'ambience' was somewhat flat.

We had the lunch tasting menu. All the courses were delicious and more so with the paired wines. The chefs made all the necessary adjustments for a Coeliac and in fact substituted a GF raspberry souffle for one of the deserts. It was heavenly! This was our first time there and we shall certainly go again

Second visit to Roux at Parliament square . This time was a business dinner. Food was excellent, service was a little slow. White wine selected wasn't chilled and was put into an ice bucket, so waited 20 minutes. Had to remind staff to bring the bottle of red wine.
Other than that a very enjoyable meal

Our reason for the visit was a celebration of my brother in laws special birthday, I requested a nice table when I booked. The table was ready for our arrival in spite of being 45min before our reservation time, there was no fuss, the welcome was good and our pre lunch drinks were served well. When we asked for a description of some of the menu items the waitress was well informed. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, the starters were delightful created with seasonal foods and made into exciting dishes, the main course chicken and the beef were outstanding and I also had good reports about the sea bass. The overall favours of the accompanying vegetables were excellent with amazing flavours complimenting the main ingredient with great care and skills. We chose from the the 3 course lunch menu, food, wine, service and whole luncheon experience was one of the best I've had the pleasure to share with special guests. A very nice touch and unsolicited was the discreet service of a birthday dessert, a glass of bubbly and a card for our birthday boy. The attention to detail was outstanding congratulations, Steve Groves and your team.

There was some lovely food in our tasting menu - both main courses, brill and beef, were melt-in-your mouth delicious. Our bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé was superb, and the room is extremely attractive in an old-world Pall-Mall-club sort of way. But overall, I expect better from two Michelin stars: no intensity of flavours to surprise and delight, and a number of things on the plate that were little above the ordinary. The service was also somewhat erratic, with initial service slow, waiters struggling to understand answers to questions about allergies, and junior waiting staff looking decidedly harried. Still a lovely meal, but not at the standards that it should have been, given the price bracket.

What is there to say other than beautiful Anniversary meal. Staff were understanding as we arrived late for our booking due to train delays in Kensington. Cant call it a 3 course meal as we got little added extras included. There are 3 seperate dinning areas down stairs of which our waiter did show me including a private dinning area with 1 large table. We came at lunchtime the value for money and standard of food was exceptional. I can well recommend the wine which has M Roux name on the label stating to our waiter "This very man is not going to put his name on any old wine" as we had both the red and white.

The setting for the restaurant is stunning, the dining room is spacious and very elegant but not intimidating or pretentious. The staff were fabulous - polite, very efficient and appropriately attentive without being overbearing. The food was the let down. Each course of the tasting menu was nice. But that was it. Just nice. Presentation was lovely, but there was no punch in the food and it was all slightly lacking in flavour and rather disappointing. From the celeriac through to the chicken and cod risotto, it was a little tasteless and lacked seasoning. The desserts were better, but far from what I was expecting. For this tier of establishment I expect something memorable. This simply wasn't.

Every aspect of the evening was sensational. The warm greeting to all my advanced requests for the occasion such as bubbly was catered for.
The quality of the food from flavour combination to presentation was top class.
Although this was for a special occasion the team made it extra special with a unique dessert at the end of the meal so say happy anniversary in chocolate. A very special touch. Couldn’t fault any part of the evening
