Came here the night after the official re-opening and was seated with everyone else in the restaurant which was rather noisy.
We asked to be moved to a quieter area and nothing was too much trouble at all.
The ambience of the refit is lovely and we both had the tasting menu which was really nice.
Great food, great service and would highly recommend. Thanks also to the Roux at Landau for making our wedding anniversary special
Nice food and exceptional service. Been here a few times before for dinner and it never disappoints.
We really enjoyed our lunch and would love to try again in the near future. Lovely atmosphere.
We really liked the Restaurant pre revamp. we were there during the soft opening and all ran very smoothly. We really enjoyed our meal and staff were great. it is different and may take a bit of getting use to . but we wish them all every success.
A restaurant that is highly recommended. The experience of it all was amazing.
It was with more than a touch of trepidation that we set off to Roux at the Landau yesterday to celebrate my upcoming birthday. Since it is one of our favourite restaurants in London we gave it a wide birth for a month or two worried that the recent renovations would not be to our liking - better to keep the image than have the reality shatter the perfect memory. Both of us were delighted to find that, unlike at some other restaurants, the changes were not a veiled excuse to lower the standards an raise the prices. The old style French elegance is still there but now married to modern lay out which should appeal to a variety of guests. The décor is subtle and pleasing and most importantly the food is as good as one would expect it to be - if not better. Our old favourites (ox cheek and duck breast) have been given a touch of Asian treatment making them taste fresher and more appealing; the quality and presentation of all the dishes is still designed to make one to first admire and then to devour every course. Incredibly the prices did not go North - thirty pounds for lunch of this quality (particularly with the wine list containing some reasonably priced items) is a steal! One of the biggest assets of this restaurant is its staff - welcoming, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you all very much for making my celebratory lunch a truly memorable affair.
Wonderful once again. Service, food and wine paring all perfect. A fantastic gastronomic delight. Thanks
Great food , fine wine. Lovely ambience and the waitress was amazing
Food was great, nice flavours but nothing too experimental. Service was a bit too full on to start but got better as the night progressed.
Extremely good value for set lunch. Attentive service and a beautiful setting. Had the burrata for starter and the ox cheek for mains followed by the matcha mousse for dessert. None were mind-blowing but all very pleasant
Had the cod 4/4/2018. Would have been better with more gnocchi and no mussels. Mussels didn't add anything to dish. Otherwise delicious. Have been a few times before and felt service this time wasn't as good.
Very good - attention to detail
Family Easter launch. Nice athmosphere.
Superb .This restuarant is an asset to The Langham .
Just a really relaxed nice place for dinner.
Food is perfect as is the service.
We had the chicken gyoza to start followed by the special Dover sole taken off the bone at the table side.
This is a brilliant restaurant! The decor is so beautiful, the staff are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. We wondered if it would feel stuffy, given it’s a hotel restaurant, but Roux and the Landau is incredibly modern and fresh. The food is INCREDIBLE! We had the 5 course tasting menu with cheese and the wine flight, and every course was delicious and so well balanced. We enjoyed the wine and cheese selection so much we asked our sommelier and waitress for them to be written down, which they did immediately. Highlights also included the Chicken Gyoza and Turbot, but it’s all delicious. We can’t wait to come back!!
Excellent meal with a set menu that was well-worth the full price (£25/£35), although we visited on a soft launch. The room is very imposing, the service was faultless - friendly, but professional.
Just great service and utterly fabulous food. I regret the money I spend on Pringles but never a treat like this. Book now!
I booked this restaurant for a birthday due to the seafood and charcuterie selection, but was delighted to find that everything was excellent. In particular, the waiter and the sommelier were both extremely friendly as well as knowledgeable about the food and drinks, making an upmarket venue feel very welcoming. Dietary requirements were catered for with careful attention, making it feel that nothing was a problem.
The food is priced similarly to other posh restaurants, but not excessively high considering the quality, presentation and flavours. The cooking clearly has a solid French base in terms of the stocks, demi glace and so on, but there is innovation in the types of dishes these are used in, such as the gyoza starter.
There for lunch with friends. Outstanding value for such high quality food prepared inventively. Elegant but comfortable surroundings. Highly recommend.
Very enjoyable lunch, great friendly service, good value menu.
We received a friendly welcome at the bar, then, after finishing our drinks, were greeted in the restaurant and taken to our table. All the staff were efficient and friendly. I had the £30 3 course lunch menu. All the dishes were tasty and well presented - although don't expect large portions. A very enjoyable dining experience.
Despite the revamp we had a very enjoyable time. Staff as always attentive but not overpowering. Food great although my choice of starter a bit bland. This was noted by staff. Will come back.
I took my wife for her birthday & the food, drinks & service were all first class - a terrific restaurant & one we will most certainly be going back to.
Beautiful atmosphere, attentive staff and amazing food. You are certainly not short of choice here, with the beautifully curated menu. Had the pleasure of trying it during their soft launch, but I would definitely love to be back for special occasions (or any other time, really)! I think it would be particularly great for a date, too.
Thank you for a wonderful lunch now they have reopened. The restaurant looks fabulous and the food was outstanding. Hard to choose a favourite dish, the Manjari moelleux, cardamom ice cream & caramel cloud was the best dessert I’ve ever tasted! But equally the Day-boat cod with leek & gnocchi was so great too as you kindly changed the sauce to Beurre Blanc & omitted the mussels as I’m allergic to shellfish!
Engagement and joint 30th
Expectations exceeded the delivery of the meal. A little disappointing after reading the information on the website and the association with M. Roux
The food here was good but the service was very slow, not what you would expect from a restaurant of this sort. The waiter was very nice and tried very hard to make up for it but it seems there just weren't enough staff for a busy Saturday night.
Given who runs the restaurant it comes as no surprise that the food was nothing short of excellent.
However, since last time we dined there the restaurant has been redecorated, there has been what appears to be a champagne bar added in the center which detracted from the ambience.
I was also somewhat disappointed with front of house, the staff were obviously busy but there is no excuse at this level for leaning across my wife in order to serve me my meal, or for leaving bread crumbs on the table all evening.
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere, friendly and atte
Really enjoyable meal, with friendly attentive staff and delicious food.
Good experience and great service from Joao. Well worth visiting
Our fourth time here and each time the food and service have been excellent.
This was my first visit to the Landau and one I’d definitely like to repeat. I couldn’t fault the service and the food was delicious. It was Mother’s Day so we had the set menu and my Mum really enjoyed it especially when she received a surprise gift at the end. I definitely plan to go again.
My friends and I had the Mothers Day special tasting menu. We had a 2 children with us and I was slightly worried if the children will behave or not. The staff were amazing, talked to the children, very friendly, made us felt welcomed and that took the edge off a little. And the children behaved (more or less). My daughter has now been formally introduced to fine-dining and she was very happy the whole day. Thanks. Food, probably needless to say, was great. Will definitely go there again, perhaps for a nice, quiet dinner with my husband.
Delicious food. Old school, charming service. Beautiful restaurant. Impeccable toilets. Expensive but worth it!
The staff really take care of you and the food is delicious. Three course lunch is great value for money.
A very enjoyable meal at Lunchtime and I was well looked after with my dietary requirements.
Service very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
