Located in the charming beach town of Gearhart, OR - possibly best known for being the summer home & final resting place of James Beard, the godfather of American fine dining, The Pacific Way is located in a history filled 1929 building. Depending on the coastal weather, you may chose a cozy space indoors, warm by a fire or dine in our covered dog friendly patio. Our menu is farm-to-table, changes based on what is fresh from the farms this week & the chef offers chalkboard menu items regularly. You'll find our menu is seafood forward, but it is worth noting there's always something special on deck for the vegetarian and carnivore in the group. We recommend making reservations for dinner (Thu-Sun, 4-8p) but accept walk-ins when we can.

I love Cabezon. I come almost every time I'm in Portland. It was my neighborhood restaurant when I lived in Hollywood. Now it's my restaurant of choice in Portland. Always perfection.

From the reception desk to a beautiful view, then our exceptional attentive waiter Ahmed with amazing delicious food- it was a great experience-the valet parking was also top notch. One of my favorite places to dine.

M&S is doing something right with their training - with luck they will find all their staff with genuine warmth and caring like Victor, the young man who served my dinner this evening. Also, I hope Landry's/M&S continues to offer special 3 course menus priced reasonably. One last note: Diners, when you have service above and beyond the usual lackadaisical norm these days, be sure to mention it to a manager, or with a note on your receipt.

My wife and I had dinner before the symphony. The entire dinner was excellent. We ordered the smoked fish board. It was delicious, especially the salmon pate. My wife ordered the small Caesar salad with shrimp. I ordered the swordfish. Both the meals were terrific. The sauce with the swordfish was well matched and the Caesar was plentiful and the shrimp huge. The desert was created in-house was very tasty and we split it. Our server provided great insight to the offerings and was very professional as well. The tip,20%, is included with the bill and a 2 1/2% up charge if you pay by credit card card. I saw this on their web site and paid in cash. The included tip saved me doing the math, although, I question tipping 20% on bottles of wine or drinks for a group. We will be going back again, it was not inexpensive but worth what we paid and isn’t that what you want to say after a fine meal?

The food was excellent. The waiter was very nice, and my only complaint was the amount of time between courses. I know that we were not being rushed, but when I get a fresh cup of coffee right after the main course and it is cold before the dessert is served, that is a little too long. Will I return? Yes.
