We take reservations for the dining room online through OpenTable and in-house at (608)-253-1861. Seating in our bar area is first come first served and serves the full dinner menu.

The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.

We both had the prime rib, queen and king cut. It was fabulous. Also had the fried olive appetizer, which is also wonderful. Our waitress was exceptional, remembered everything we asked for and brought it in a timely manner. It was quite busy, so we were impressed. Definitely on our supper club rotation.

I asked about cross contamination between seafood (due to an allergy) and steaks. The chef has received requests like this before and took care to make sure it did not happen. The food was amazing. Perhaps a little pricey but the ambience made it a perfect dining experience. Do not skip this place. It was great. 10/10 definitely eating here again!

Delicious dinner and excellent service! I ordered a petite filet, and it was so tender, I could have cut it with a butter knife. My friend had ordered one of the specials (prime rib & lobster tail). She was equally as happy with her meal. Our server was Miguel and he was wonderful. The bartender was excellent as well. I ordered a Brandy Perfect and it was exactly that. Perfect!
