About the restaurant
At aRoqa, we embrace the notion Indian dishes can be served tapas-style and in small plate fashion for sharing, perfect for couples on date night or intimate parties. Located steps away from Chelsea Market and The Highline, our chef brings an elevated approach merging Indian flavors with a global palate and creative twists throughout. Drawing upon the varied and distinct flavors of regional India, each dish is a blend of vibrant, balanced flavors beautifully composed. Inspired by its name, in India friends and loved ones come together at a “roka” ceremony and celebrate by sharing a meal.

Roqa [pronounced roh-kuh; an engagement ceremony in India, is a celebration of love and commitment.] A unique marriage of cuisine and cocktails in a chic, sophisticated setting

I’ve been to Tamarind Tribeca before, but this visit was even better. The lunch was amazing, and the Thali was such a great way to enjoy a variety of delicious Indian dishes. The service was outstanding, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. What I really appreciate is how much the restaurant has continued to improve since my last visit. You can tell they’re always looking for ways to make the food and overall experience even better. Another great experience at Tamarind Tribeca. Great food, excellent service, and a restaurant that keeps getting better. Highly recommend!

Overall, dining at The Spice symphony was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I highly recommend it for a casual dinner or a quiet date night. The hospitality here was truly impressive, especially thanks to the manager, Rakesh, who took amazing care of us! The menu offers a fantastic selection of authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese food that felt completely genuine. We absolutely loved the chicken lollipop with kiachi sauce and the triple Schezwan fried rice, which had a perfect, rich burnt garlic flavor. We will definitely be back!

Had an incredible dining experience at Musaafer! The food was absolutely phenomenal, but what made the night truly special was meeting Chef Mayank Istwal. Despite his immense talent, he was incredibly humble and gracious. A stellar restaurant all around—cannot recommend it enough!

Magnificent food and service at Saar! What a treat to find this gem in the heart of the Theater District, where it can be hard to know which restaurants are truly worth seeking out. Saar absolutely is. The food was exceptional - thoughtful, distinctive, and beautifully prepared - and the service was every bit as wonderful. A fabulous find near Times Square and one we would happily return to.
