One of the best Thai food I have had in the UK!!! The owners and staff should be very proud!!
Always an excellent authentic Thai meal and experience with the best service in town. Thanks Sabai!
Excellent service. Friendly staff who were very accommodating.
Food flavours good.
Overall quite reasonable value
Lovely restaurant setting. Staff were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately it was a bit cold but we were by the door.
Good vegetarian selection, pretty big portions and we all enjoyed our meals (table of 6).
We always ear at the Sabai when we visit Brighton. The food is excellent and the staff are lovely, would definitely recommend.
The food was excellent - tasty and flavoursome. The ambiance was excellent and service were prompt and heartwarming. What a great place for a staff party.
Pleasant meal but restaraunt was over busy so not a relaxing experience.
Stunningly tasty food with great service and ambiance. Served us promptly before an early gig . Would highly recommend !
We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and our pre booked table was waiting for us. The staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere tranquil and relaxing, even when it became busy. The food was out of this world and great value for money. This is our new favourite Thai restaurant.
Das Restaurant braucht dringend eine Renovierung und vielleicht sich einen richtigen Koch. Alles schmeckte beliebig und ohne Gewürz und das bei einem Thai.
Nur der nette Service rettete die Punkte.
The food was excellent, the serving staff were attentive and advised which dishes would suit our tastes. Very pleasant experience and really looking forward to going again in the near future. This is now my #1 Asian restaurant.
The place was deserted when we arrived so lacked any vibe. We sat outside with a pleasant view of Pavillion park, and its toilet. Food good but not exceptional and service slow given only 3 tables were in use
Excellent as always. No 1 Thai spot in Brighton!
Awful. More awful. Most awful. Is the simple description. Booked on open table for 815 reservation , originally a party of 8, got brought to 6 cuz of traffic. We decided on what we wanted to eat from the menu on open table so our server could put the order in at 2030 for those running late , as it closes at 10pm. It was my bff's birthday dinner. Thanks for the bad memories ! 2005 I came and ordered a drink, explained our party of 8 likely would be 6 and handed in our order to be given to the chef at 2030. At 2025 our server came to let us know that there isn't a set menu. I assured her there is. On the site they use for bookings. She asked to see it and said she would work it out for us. I opened it and showed her n sent screen shots per her request. 2043 she comes to say she's acting manager but her boss, the manager, isn't there but she called her and she refused to accept our order without significanlty up-pricing (about 16gbp). On top of the ridiculous wait , nearly another 20 minutes since we had been told it would all be worked out for bus, after we settled in and ordered drinks, we are now told we can't be accommodated. My bff went after her about this. Which wasn't servers fault. In fact all staff were nervous and unsure of themselves, as well as had slow service since I had walked in, alone, served my drink, and observed while waiting for my guests. Moving on, after my bff laid it out in the manager via phone call , our requests were accepted. Minus a menu item not on the list. The set menu has coffee or tea provided but we weren't even offered. The food was 1/10 , really u get better food from a jar. None of the particulars were asked from us such as spiciness, sweetness, etc. Green curry was a bowl of salty chicken broth with fish oil and a dash of ccnut cream, spring rolls are fried and tiny, tiny teaspoon of sweet chili sauce was given on the side, seabass was good, penut sauce was too salty, courtesy prawn chips w/tespoon of sweetchili sauce for 6ppl
Excellent as always! My go to in Brighton when I fancy some thai food. Would recommend the thai yellow curry and the tofu satay.
Probably the best Thai food We have had-in this country without a doubt will be back when we are next in Brighton
Very relaxed interior with plenty of space. Good choice of food, well presented. Could have been a bit more punchy with heat but that's my own taste. Wine list was good. Staff were great .
Great food, staff, atmosphere and location. Would definitely recommend.
Booked at very short notice - beautiful place - lovely lady called Gina served us - great service and the food was out of this world - if you want a 5 star Thai meal them go here.
Food hot & delicious. Surroundings/ambience good although tables fairly close. Good location.
Not easy to select gluten free dishes from the menu.
Why would any one need to ask for Rice !
Why ask for the order twice.
We were short of rice in the end.
Bill was not itemized.. How to check it??
The manager and his team are great. We were late for our booking and they made a great effort to find us a table. The food and ambiance were lovely and we had a great evening.
Meal with partner, food and service both very good, would definitely go back
The service was good. The Thai green curry, wraps and the salad were lovely. The seafood dish with squid was overcooked and a bit tough. The rainbow pad Thai replaced noodles with veg, very fresh, with a good texture, but it was very sweet and salty. I needed several glasses of water and couldn't finish it. Overall I would say it is good value, but check out the salt, sweet, chilli levels when ordering.
Good food served in a relaxed informal setting.
Had a very enjoyable evening with work colleagues for our Christmas meal out, in a very comfortable ambiance with the most amazing, delicious, authentic Thai food!
Best Thai food in Brighton and Hove.
Great location in middle of Brighton- excellent service and top notch food - best Thai around by miles.
Some of the most authentic Thai food I've ever had outside Thailand. Loved it! Great value for money and friendly staff would recommend.
Went for Sunday Lunch and were the only ones in there. Food was really good and would definitely go again.
Went for my son’s birthday, great food and friendly staff, recommended.
Decent enough, very good service and food was good, though not spectacular; the basic Pad Thai is a little bland and you need the Sabai own Pad Thai for the usual bells and whistles!
I expected the place to be well kept, but it wasn't so. The table wasn't clean, and there were lots of flies inside.
The staff weren't overly friendly either and the food wasn't great.
It's not somewhere I'd go back to again. We finished our meal quickly and left.
Staff very friendly and polite, food very tasty but a bit pricey compared to other Thai restaurants. The restaurant is quite nice. Close to the town so easy to find.
The food was delicious, well prepared and presented. The staff was friendly and attentive . Loved it! Can’t recommend it enough.
Had been wanting to go to Sabai Thai Gastrobar for four years. Finally went and was not disappointed at all. My family and I eat Thai food very often and have been to Thailand six times, so we can say we know our Thai food- and this was excellent! So many vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options too which was great! The staff were really friendly too. I will definitely go back next time I am down in Brighton! I recommend the Tom Kah soup (with sticky rice!).
If you like Thai you should like this restaurant. We have been a few times, whenever we are visiting Brighton and have never been disappointed.
I enjoyed the food and service. Certainly would go back to try other great dishes.
Authentic Thia food with lovely surroundings and very good friendly service.
We had the Bangkok set meal and it was excellent. We also ordered pre-dinner drinks and my husband was disappointed to see that his gin and tonic was presented already mixed and so the gin was drowned. When he asked for a replacement the barman told him that it had the correct amount of tonic and he knew as he had has been to bar school! The drink was replaced but this attitude was disappointing hence the loss of 2 stars for service. Don't let it put you off going as the food is amazing but either have your G&T elsewhere or specify how you want it served.
