SABOR Restaurant provides a rustic yet elegant atmosphere and a menu rich in European tradition—Portuguese, Spanish, French & Italian—in the heart of Downtown and the ICE District.

OceanWise certified, we offer Edmonton’s best, most-sustainable seafood menu as well as a meat & vegetarian options.

Professional staff, a trim but superlative wine list, hand-crafted cocktails, and SABOR’s menu & atmosphere make it the perfect spot—be it in evening wear before the opera, a suit before the big meeting, or in jeans hanging out with friends.

Made in house cakes are available upon request. Requests must be made 48 hours in advance, and can only be made via phone (780-757-1114). We do not allow outside cakes to be brought into the restaurant.

BODEGA Tapas Bar is a casual setting seated on a walk-in basis only. A great stop before or after a movie or show at one of the nearby theaters, BODEGA serves authentic tapas, our signature Sangria, and superb wine & cocktails.

    Food and service was excellent. Our party shared some tapas as an appie (grilled artichokes, sardines, calamari, beef empanadas), then shared lobster risotto and paella. All of the seafood was very fresh and bountiful. As you may deduce, the main food offerings have a Spanish and Portuguese focus. The décor is dark and oaky and has a nice ambiance. Wine selection seems quite extensive. I prefer beer and even though they only had one offering on tap, it it was a nice local craft. There are also quite a number of bottled beers, both of craft and corporate variety. All in all, a great high end eatery to take that special someone and/or a special occasion. Totally recommend.

    I took my better half here for his birthday dinner, and everything was wonderful. From the friendliness of our server, Mark, to the tasty tapas and decadently delicious chocolate mousse, nothing fell short of exceptional. We will definitely be back soon.

    The server was a bit "dry". You can tell he was annoyed when you ask questions etc. Food is great, but it was a bit salty. I have eaten here before, and the food is always top notch.

    It was Our 31st Anniversary. Bailey was our waitress and she did an awesome job. We had the Three Course Seafood Meal for Two. We each had a 9 oz glass of a Portuguese wine. With dessert, we each received a complimentary glass of port for our anniversary.

    We had the seafood platter. The quality of all the seafood was very very good. The room with the big wooden beams is such a beautiful space to sit. The service was friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this great restaurant to anyone.

    Had reservations for 7:15pm but did not get seated until 7:50pm. Waiter was good but seemed to have too many tables to service. Food was good but not as it has been in the past.

    Service is still missing a bit of finesse that we once used to get at this restaurant pre-COVID. Server over poured a beer, foaming it several times, forgot cutlery, etc. Value in the seafood platter for 2 was a bit disappointing, considering the "special" price of $80/person-FAR too much calamari and only 2 scallops and 2 prawns. The taste of said scallops and prawns were fantastic and more should've been on this platter for that price!

    We had dinner at Sabor to celebrate our anniversary and it was the perfect choice. The seafood was cooked just right and tasted delicious. It was just the right amount of food for the 2 of us. Michael C was a great server. Nice atmosphere. It was a busy Friday night, so somewhat noisy but ok.

    Our server was perfect, knowledgeable about the food and wine menus, we wanted for nothing but we did not feel intruded upon. The food was delicious, we started with tapas, the fried calamari was so tender it was hard to believe it was calamari, my husband’s seafood paella was a feast for the senses, he took a picture and he has never done that. I had the sea bass with the lobster risotto, I have never ordered fish for my main before, but will again based on my experience. There is a reason their lobster risotto is their signature dinner , creamy sweet and flavourful. Desert was tiramisu for my husband and the cheese cake for me, both were yummy as were our espresso and latte. It was our anniversary and everyone from the hostess to our server recognized our special day. I am going to try to get back next month for my parent’s anniversary it was that good, if you want a wonderful evening out with fantastic food you should get yourself to Sabor.

    My husband had the three boars which was excellent. I had the catch of the day which I was told was halibut and salmon (3 oz each). When it arrived it was salmon and another type of white fish but definitely not halibut. Both were tremendously overcooked with no seasoning or sauce other than salt and pepper. Just plain pan fried fish. This came with a huge serving of lobster risotto which was nice but way more than anyone would eat in one sitting and if I just wanted lobster risotto I could have saved a lot of money and just ordered that. That being said, the lobster risotto is quite nice, with large chunks of lobster throughout. The service was excellent - not fussy or overly attentive but addressed our needs very timely. The restaurant was quite crowded so that amplified the noise but it was not excessive.

    Three high school friends all turn 50, a catch up and celebration! Sheetal and I have experienced amazing service, and our server this evening (Kim) was just.. lacklustre. No suggestions, no banter, no smiles and just felt like we were a burden when our dinner was just under $300. We’ll be back as the food and atmosphere are one of the best, I hope Kim has better days

    Wasn’t expecting an ‘exuberant’ family with small kids in a very expensive restaurant for celebrating my 25th anniversary. Also a couple of guys in baseball caps and jordans enjoying the drink and swearing a lot. I guess they all were rich. Food was fine dining, ambience was McDonalds.
