I recently attended a wedding at the restaurant, and I just loved it. The food, the mood, the set up, etc were wonderful. That’s why i made the reservation for special birthday celebration. I was very disappointed. The food took forever to get to the table and we had to ask for it. The food was tepid as was the coffee. The salad was lovely, the omelet was more like a cold pizza and those three tiny blintzes ...
Now for the dessert, the tiny sticky bun left a lot to be desired. I am truly sad to write this review .
Lovely the waiter was great and the service. Awesome food
Amazing food here but...as with these popular NYC brunch restaurants it was a long wait for a bad table, squashed in at the back and uncomfortably hot. Rushed, expensive and not very relaxed. Having said all that ! will always recommend Sadelle’s for the fantastic food. Bagels are outrageously good and the blintzes are crazy. The ambience is great too if the place isn’t rammed.
Always a great meal at Sadelle’s! It’s definitely on the pricey side, so better for a special occasion. The one very annoying thing that you should know is that even with a reservation you have to wait a while for your table. Hosts aren’t great either
All the food was amazing. The service was fabulous. Will definitely be back next time I’m in New York.
We are regulars here and love the place. On this visit however we were seated on the upper level and had a serious issue with mosquitoes and flies. I suggest they do something about that. The other issue was the waiting staff who spent more time talking to each other and it was a reach to get their attention. The last issue was the dirty white smocks some of the waiters had on. If you are going to wear white smocks please make sure they are clean and not stained; it was a total turnoff.
Was a little disappointed. Most of what we ordered was just ok. Although the sticky bun were delicious.
My husband and I love to try new places for brunch. We ended up giving Sadelle’s a shot and we loved it. It’s definitely a treat yourself spot if you are a fan on smoked salmon & bagels. We also go to the soft scrambled eggs with trout roe, it is pricey, but completely worth it!! We look forward to going back!
One of my favorite restaurants for brunch in NYC! The bagels are insane as is the salmon. It's sliced so thin! The salmon benedict, french toast, pigs in a blanket and bacon are also amazing.
Just great all around
The best gluten free bagels!!!!!
What a fun place for Sunday brunch! You can see you bagels being made, watch the staff carve up the fish (lox, sable, and so much more) and it is all served on a fun table tower to share. Super cocktails, including the "Russian Wake Up Call". Lively place, and well worth the experience.
Sadelle's is always a great meal! Fun space and everything is delicious.
The gluten free bagels are legendary! And the service is always fantastic.
We loved Sadelle’s. Our waiter was so energetic, the food was fantastic (French toast in particular) wow just wow! It was recommended to us by our waiter and I’m so glad we listened. I also thought the place itself was super cute...especially the workers making the fresh bagels in the middle of the restaurant. My only negative comments to make were in regards to the coffee. It was petty gross and I didn’t find you got a lot of salmon for $24. Overall great experience though and cannot wait to go back!
Fun and exciting experience. Amazing food. You will wait even with a reservation, but its not bad. People are super friendly.
I need more stars to say how good it was. Excellent service and outstanding food!!!
Great! Loved it!
It was a perfect place for lunch!!!! Love it so happy that we came here.
Amazing food and service
Excelente lugar la comida deliciosa el servicio ninguna queja recomendable
Overpriced for what you get. Iced coffee was 8 dollars which is absurd
Fantastic gluten free bagels!! Only complaint is that it took 10 min to be seated even though we had a reservation.
Tower was delicious. So much fun to eat here with the gang. The French toast was the best!
We enjoyed a delicious brunch at Sadelle's. The only negative was that the restaurant was very hot (to their credit, it was in the midst of a NYC heatwave). My real complaint is that Open Table reservations always seem to be afterthoughts in the minds of restaurants. Even though I have added a request in my profile/reservations to NOT be seated near the kitchen, we always seem to be relegated to some corner...this time at a tiny table wedged next to the server's station. I am beginning to wonder if I should just begin to call restaurants directly for reservations from here on out.
Family visiting in NYC together. Loved our time here & waitress from Birmingham,AL (my city) was precious & personable. Great food, great experience!
A great place to introduce some European friends to the splendour of a North American deli-style eatery.
Amazing from the service to the food! Jeff, our waiter, was so attentive and helpful and made our experience brilliant!!
Fabulous experience always.
This place has a wonderful selection of brunch favorites. The service is good, and the waitstaff are nice. The French toast is exceptional.
it way far to0loud, we made prior reservations and got the worst seats in the place.
in addition, we were on the upper level and it was so obvious they do not keep it clean. It was so dusty on the small shelves beside us. I noticed this because our waiter put our salt and pepper shakers on the small shelf beside us and dust went everywhere.
Bagels and smoked salmon are the best around. Incredible service. Great space.
Horrible service! Everyone is playing a game of "who can avoid eye contact the most" which resulted in delayed service all around. Our own server despised working and would cut us off qbd leave before we would finish our sentences and requests. She disappeared mid way and reappeared as we were about to leave. I love sadelles but it sucks when your waiter keeps forgetting orders whether it be the onions or the ice or the capers or drinks. Used to be my favorite...
Sadelles is amazing in every way, good is amazing and the place is super nice and with a good ambiance
The "Famous" sticky buns are definitely different. But not to our taste. Too dense and too much salt. The cheese blintzes taste better than those at Katz, but smaller portions. The house salmon/bagel combo was good. The coffee, not. Beautiful space, too loud, and overpriced, but this is Soho after all, so it will be overpriced.
Nice place and nice food.
Awesome & personable service. The waiter was very helpful in navigating the menu, gave very good suggestions. The food was everything I hoped it would be, extremely tasty with nice presentation. Ordered various drinks as well, all of them were outstanding.
Too expensive for a brunch . The restroom situation it's absurd, lines of more than 6 or 8 people all the time, including employees which had to return to work without been able to use them due to the wait.....it's not human !
It was nice but simply exorbitant and not remotely value for money, had it been half the price it would have been too expensive, for this reason I couldn’t recommend anyone save those with money to burn to go.
