Great food prepared and cooked to perfection. Worth a visit.
We chose to do Foodie taster menu with the wine package. We really enjoyed the food it was delicious, however was really let down by the wine pairing. The wine was already poured when it came to the table and we didn't even get half a glass to taste, it was very poor and soured the experience somewhat!! I'd recommend doing the taster menu but just buy a nice bottle of wine to accompany it.
We love Saffrons. Although the restaurant was fully booked, both the bar & restaurant staff made us feel like we were the only diners. The explanation of each course was in detail & not too much. I don't usually like deserts but the chocolate lollipop is not to be missed. I had the game tasting menue & my husband the meat tasting menue, both were exquisite. I cannot reccomend Saffrons highly enough, 5 stars everytime. Book well in advance, its very popular.
Outstanding food and experience. It was my mums birthday and she was over from the UK and she thoroughly enjoyed it
We were a party of 5 and went for the tasting menu, the food was both innovative, beautifully presented and most important tasted as good as it looked. The service was excellent, everyone was keen to ensure we had a great evening. If we lived in Jersey we would be regulars.
All the experience was great, I will comeback again.
Lovely friendly and welcoming staff from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The food was outstanding! I will definitely be back again.
Consistently great food and an excellent wine list
Had a lovely evening for my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent and there were some extras like a sorbet which was delicious. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The tables are well spaced out and there was a nice relaxing ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend this restaurant for a different food experience.
The ambience of Saffron is brilliant, the service received from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave is outstanding. The tasting menu is worth trying. I would also recommend the wine pairing. The staff are well educated in the wine they are serving and able to explain the origin of the wine. The food is outstanding. The head chef, trained at the famous Oberoi Hotel - India. He brings a unique flavour from traditional spices and fuses them for your palate to keep wondering... The presentation of the food is of most importance and Saffron delivers above expectation.
I am a non beef eater, and they were more than happy to substitute it for venison, which i absolutly enjoyed.
Desert is also presented well and again a fusion of flavour.
Thank you to the team and the chef.
Absolutely fabulous as always!
Brilliant service as always, attentive and friendly staff and the food was perfect, beautiful, quiet and peaceful atmosphere, great place to sit down and catch up with family and friends and in the summer when warm enough to open the patio doors it’s a plus if that is possible. And yes that means not my first visit and won’t be the last. Love the place. Thank you to all the staff. See you again soon hopefully.
Amazing experience - astounding food
As always, a great meal. My friend and I had the taster menu with the recommended wines. It was all outstanding. Not a complaint. It is lovely that the staff recognise you even if you may only go in twice/three times a year. All the staff are attentive but never in your face.
I recommend the restaurant to everyone.
From beginning to end we were looked after by the team, the food was excellent, varied menus big and small, excellent wine and gin cocktails. Pity they’re closed over Xmas as wanted to come again with family.
We very much enjoyed our meal last Saturday we usually come on special occasions as it is quite costly .
Really excellent meal (especially as it was a Sunday evening which is always difficult to find somewhere good to eat) - All four courses were excellent but special callout for the fish course (Sea Bass) which was divine
Lovely food, different and nicely spiced with some great new tastes as well. The service was good and friendly and the seating was really comfortable. Would highly recommend Saffrons for any occasion. Not as buzzy as it could be but great for quiet chats and made a great end to a lovely relaxing spa day for me and my husband's away night from the teenagers at home.
What an amazing meal and night out. The restaurant was very quiet and the staff were so accommodating - nothing was too much trouble including swapping some items out of the tasting menu that we didn't quite fancy. Food was warm and plentiful - personally I like my Indian food to have a strong kick, so would have been nice perhaps to have had some option on how 'hot' you like your food, however the style, taste, flavours and everything else in between was just great. Not a cheap night out, but for a special occasion I would highly recommend this jewel in the Jersey Crown! Wonderful place and we will definitely be back.
We have been lucky enough to visit Saffron's twice now. this time I called to see if they were still doing the Fish menu, which they were not as the Winter Game menu had come out ( which of course was still beautiful). They very kindly carried out my request and ordered in the fish menu especially. The manager is a credit to the restaurant, the staff are so attentive and friendly and a big shout out to the Chef as the food is absolutely outstanding. we love to dine out at fine dining restaurants and Saffrons is at the absolute top of our list of fine dining restaurants. personally, I would love to see Saffrons awarded with a Michelin star, as it is well deserved. Their dedication, customer service, and exquisite food makes us just want to come back time and again. Thank you Saffrons, we hope to see you again soon once we can fatten up our piggy bank. xx
Amazing food. Can't wait to go back to try the tasting menu
Totally worth a visit. I'll be going back soon. Describes itself as "fine dining with an Indian twist" - a true description and something quite different to other fine dining experiences you'd have in Jersey. The Sunday evening set menu is excellent value, and an unexpectedly decent house wine too. Staff service standards very high.
This was the third time we have visited Saffrons, we try to visit every time we go to Jersey. We particularly like the tasting menu. To our disappointment when we arrived we were only given a set menu, they said this was the standard now for Sunday nights, the waitress could see our disappointment at the tasting menu not being available; she spoke to the head waiter who was quite happy to see if they could do the tasting menu for us. Much to our delight the chefs agreed. The food and wine were delicious as always with the service being superb and not over bearing.
Would highly recommend this restaurant. If you are expecting the curries with runny sauces that you get in most Indian restaurants you will be disappointed, however, if you enjoy taste sensations, this restaurant is a must if you visit Jersey.
My husband and I ate at Saffron's to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful meal and dining experience. We both had the tasting menu with accompanying prestige wine flight. From start to finish the dishes were wonderful - refined, deliciously spiced and beautifully cooked. The wine was expertly paired and the service was impeccable. After our meal, while waiting for our taxi that had been called for us, we were treated to a glass of champagne and given warm congratulations on our anniversary.
Fusion of the best of Jersey produce with an Indian twist
We did enjoy the evening the quality of food and service were very good. The place lack atmosphere and more can be done. Diffenitely we recommend Saffron and we look forward to our next visit to Jersey to dine in Saffron again.
5* How could anyone not like this????
Not cheap but you do get what you pay for. Excellent, modern twist on Indian cuisine. Not too spicy, would suit most people. Great presentation and selection. Fantastic tasting menu and wine matching. Well managed and good, friendly staff. As good as you get really. This and Tamarind in Norfolk, the absolute best. Well done and keep it up.
Absolutely perfect the food was amazing the service was excellent definitely be back
Out of this world!
Food was great but when we arrived there was only one menu available and it was not possible to eat "a la carte" which was basicaly the reason we went there.
This is Indian food at its best in Jersey. Tasty imaginative well presented. Should be considered for Michelin star IMHO
Delicious tasting menu. Beautifully delivered. Attentive staff. Nice hotel setting
Lovely meal and service.
An excellent meal indeed and we will come back. Very relaxed timescale in between the courses
My husband & I have been to Saffrons before & wanted to return. We were not disappointed - food & service were excellent. The wine pairing for the taster menu was excellent. We could not fault our evening. We will be back for the Pescatarian tasting menu.
Everything absolutely spot on. Would recommend if you like food with a twist
Exquisite food where fine dining meets the spice and vibrance of Indian cuisine. Try the taster desserts you won't be disappointed. Excellent attentive staff.
We visited as a special treat for my Husband's Birthday. The food was very different and excellent a real tasting event and experience. The table service was good and discreet and the food explained to us. The tables were far enough apart to be able to have a private discussion. Despite having advised it was my husband's birthday no mention was made to this which was disappointing and I had to personally go and pay the bill at the bar. I feel the general customer service could have been betterand more welcoming. That said we had an enjoyable evening
Delicious meals. Friendly and courteous staff. Love the various flavour combinations.
