Classic ambiance with incredible service. Food was right on point ... I should know since I ate there 3 times during a two-night stay at Mela!
We always visit this Restaurant when in New York! Consistently exceptional food and service! Waiter Dominic was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive!
Saju has been one of our favorites for years. Never disappointed with the food or service. Friendly, efficient wait staff are very attentive. Great menu. Food is consistently fresh and well prepared. Reasonable pricepoint for midtown
10/10 would recommend and would definitely go again. The ambiance made our dinner so much more romantic and memorable. The live music was a beautiful touch. We had the escargot, lobster bisque, lamb shank, grilled seafood, and creme brûlée. Everything was served in a timely fashion and service was nothing short of great. We LOVED our main courses and the dessert. Serving sizes were really filling. We had to share a dessert from how full we were.
Lastly, the rose on our way out was very sweet.
Great pre or post theater eatery. Service is pleasant and efficient. Food selection is varied . Portions are substantial. Presentation is appealing. And food is delicious! Great for meeting friends, special occasions or just a good meal in the City. We cant wait to return.
This is a lovely place but it is very expensive. The food is excellent and it’s presentation fine but the cost is out of proportion to the values.
Interesting dishes, lovely polite and helpful service. Not overly expensive for the quality food.
The food was delicious. Service excellent. Ambiance charming.
Two did not like meal ..... it was ok
Was so excited to return to this wonderful French bistro while in NY.
Saju is one of our favorite places. The service is always wonderful. Our server was very attentive. The seafood risotto special was perfect. I highly recommend Saju, whether you are seated in the front by the bar or in the dining room in the back.
I frequent this restaurant all the time and love it. For what ever reason this time I was so disappointed. The service was horrible and our pasta was ice cold
My husband and I always look forward to dining at Saju Bistro. We know we will have a wonderful dinner, great service and lovely ambience.
Wonderful Friday evening dinner before premiere showing of Girl From The North Country.
We started with a nice bottle of Pinot Noir.
The frisée salad was fresh and the vinaigrette was very flavorful.
Our chicken entrees were superb!
Dessert was scrumptious and the blood orange sorbet was outrageously good!
Have been coming to Saju Bistro for years. Love the food, staff and ambiance. Great for pre-theater.
The food is consistently excellent with a large number of options. Specials are also varied and interesting. Service is very good. We eat at Saju quite often and enjoy the ambience as well as the quality of food that is not generally available in other mid town/theater restaurants.
Love this spot for lunch and pre-theater. Good value. Great service.
We have eaten at Saju many times and this was the 1st time we were disappointed :(
We started with a drink at the bar with a great new bartender RJ but after that it was disappointing
Our waiter seemed disinterested and not very attentive. I had the octopus and my husband had the mussels
both were fine but plating was terrible especially the mussels . Not a good vessel to use when you want the sauce at the bottom and you can get to it until you're down to a few mussels left.
Dinner was uninspiring and overall we were wondering if the management has changed or maybe the chef ?
We will give it another try but definitely not what we normally experience
Antonio was a fantastic and friendly server. The menu was a nice size, without being too big. There were only two single bathrooms, but they were clean.
Lovely food. Lovely ambience.
A very typical French bistro menu, food was good but not inspired. The highlight was the service from Hunter our waiter. He had drinks and anything we wanted within minutes. We were leaving for the theatre and he made sure we had plenty of time and the check to pay without rush. For lovers of French fare it’s a great theatre district stop. Wine was good too, and several good choices by the glass. Would go back again.
We have eaten several times at Saju. Sometimes it was ok but not outstanding.
Our last meal there was very relaxed but with a great server and the food was better than usual.
A great experience overall
Nice theater district bistro with good French food and speedy service.
Had the calamari that was rubbery and had no flavor. Then oysters that were small, overcooked and flavorless, was terrible meal. The place was loud and service spotty!
Lunch before a show. Husband had prefix chicken dish($29) andI had hanger steak entree ($28). Both were excellent. Good value for city prices.
Always reliably great food, service and theater location
Always wonderful, consistent, and accommodating. I’ve never had anything but a wonderful time with great food.
Such great service, so kind to all the out-of-towners coming in to see shows.
What a fabulous bistro in Times Square! This place is an absolute gem, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere inviting and the food is delicious! It is rare to find a place that checks off all the boxes especially in the Times Square area but this is one of them. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!
Saju is a pretty restaurant , beautiful setting and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. More of an adult setting, which was nice.
Food not up to par. I think since we were early we got already plated food. Was gooey.
We had a very nice pre-theater lunch. Once we made waiter aware of our plans she was respectful of our time and kept our meal on track with out any pressure. The menu choices are vast, so something for everyone.
Saju Bistro is my "go to" place to dine before a Broadway show. Great food and outstanding service. I highly recommend this restaurant. And don't forget to check out the amazing desserts!
second time to eat there and it was as good as the first. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful service and impeccable food.
Solid bistro fare in a great location for pre- or post-theater. I had oysters and the filet. Steak was cooked perfectly for medium rare. My server was very nice, attentive, and mindful of theater timing. Only drawback was a bad martini. (Warm, not "very dry.")
We, 6 of us, 100% enjoyed our visit; appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks and service all were excellent
Great meal. Wonderful service. We started with the country pate which was delicious. My husband ordered the
Rabbit and I had the Boullibase. Both dishes were flavorful
and cooked to perfection. A terrific meal
Weekend getaway to see a Broadway play and located this nearby French restaurant! What a treat and the escargot was dreamy delicious!!!
Food was absolutely wonderful! We had mussels to start and for entrees the rabbit and a squid ink linguine special. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Reliable theater district French restaurant- good bistro style food- Excellent onion soup and tart tatin, and they will get you out for your curtain.
