Happy evening for a very special weekend to London with our big daughter to celebrate her 12 birthday. However, the staff seemed totally locked in some rigid-process that makes any additional water or whisky order a nightmare. Too many poeple involved. As in every restaurant in the world - why God, why? - the bill takes hours to arrive when the kid is falling asleep. The food was ok. The sirloin meat was really just ok. Notable the prawns tempura and the amazing wine (Chenin Blanc "Weathered Hanos" 2013), excellent value for money. Also, Ludovic the French-speaking sommelier was of great help in the whole process and seemed to better understand the clients' needs. This being said, we might return one day. There is still hope!
Food was good and fresh HOWEVER, service was exceedingly slow and some of the portions was small. It took over 40 minutes for the shrimp tempura to get to our table. My husband’s Chilean sea bass (entree) was small and more the size of an appetiser rather than a entree. He was still hungry after we paid. I’d have given higher scores if the portions matched the prices and if the pleasant staff delivered the food in a timely manner.
Really good place to celebrate my birthday. Friendly staff and great food.
We went for an anniversary and it was a very special lunch. We ordered the "tasting menu" with the "kobe" beef and it was delicious. In addition, they had an excellent detail in the desserts they wrote "Happy anniversary". In conclusion, it was an absolutely fantastic luch. Thanks for all.
We loved the whole experience. Well done to the team. One of the best meals I’ve had in London for a number of years.
Saturday lunch is incredible value. Super food, a cocktail and half a bottle of champagne for a set price. Wow!
The food was nice. However I felt the service was rushed
Long wait for the food for a business lunch
We went there for bday celebration and we got the Saturday menu. The sukiyaki was amazing! We talked about it on our journey home
We had visited for my boyfriend ‘s birthday. The food was amazing but the service was what made the meal for us.
All of the staff were so friendly and engaging, nothing was too much trouble for them and they made us feel very special.
Thank you Sake no Hana, we had a great time.
Sake no hana was as always, the perfect meal in the perfect place. While we were dining I had 3 teensy, weensy little nitpicks but can’t even remember what two of them are now I’ve eaten the food! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone going on a date, trying to impress future in laws or just after cocktails - the coupette no.3 is incredible. If you can, go for an umai sushi Saturday menu - it’s such good value, the staff are wonderful and the food is quite literally out of this world. Hands down best food I’ve eaten in London. If you’re going á la carte eat anything tuna based! That said, I really cannot express enough how much you should go for umai saturdays as a first Sake no Hana experience. You won’t regret ☺️ By the way, the nitpick I do recall is takeaway chopsticks rather than genuine ones - but it’s forgiven as soon as you taste the wakame!
The standard and quality of food and service has declined. It was not a pleasant dining experience. Definitely not worth its price.
Sake no Hana is always our “go to” restaurant for a business meeting
Really nice service and the food & wine was excellent
Amazing meal ..... good food and great staff
Got to the restuarant earlier with a 6pm booking without realising that they haven’t yet opened. The receptionist kindly showed us the way to the bar area which was very nice, to wait whilst having a few drinks. Order drinks, and by the time they were made, the resturant opened and the receptionist came to get us, and brought our drinks with her too. I got the 4 course set menu deal that night which was fabulous, with a great choice in food. The ambience of this resturant was amazing, as the night drew closer the setting in the resturant was made, candle lit dinner and a very romantic atmosphere, the staff were super! Explaining everything in detail and clearly and they were truely professional. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and requested a special dessert surprised for her in which the staff came out with this in a unruly manner after our meal. Would highly recommend this place!
Great food great location
Service was slow
Food was nice but not amazing given the price. Would recommend to others if it was more reasonably priced
Beautiful setting, great food and great wine. Can get pretty loud on a Friday, so would recommend dining earlier rather than later. Overall an impressive place that I will definitely look forward to visiting again.
Pricey, fancy look, don’t think the food was worthy though. £280 for four people. Ground floor staff seemed very unhappy. Sorry, may not go again
Venue, service, presentation all good. Disappointed about the food, it all tasted the same.
Incredibly delicious food, the tasting menu was up there with some of the tastiest food i have ever eaten! Excellent service as well, i definitely recommend.
Had a lovely lunch on Saturday with their tasting menu. Delicious and really great value as it comes with a cocktail and a bottle of bubbles for 2 people which is more than enough.
3rd visit to Sake No Hanna, this time for the Satirday Brunch. 7 courses, cocktail and 1/2 bottle of champagne for £49 plus 13% service.
Great cooking and good value. The staff are excellent. Wonderful way to have a leisurely lunch in central London.
Fantastic food and service at the table was excellent.
The lady who greeted us when we walked could be more friendly and even a smile would help. The bar was closed for a private function but she was very abrupt in telling us this
Save your money and avoid this restaurant. The portions are tiny, the service is not very good, the wine list is very poor and outrageously expensive. After paying a fortune for this restaurant, we had to find a kebab shop since we were starving. I can't understand how the Hakkasan group can have such a disappointing restaurant in their portfolio.
My partner and I ate here for the second time on Wednesday evening and had the most wonderful evening.
The service attention was superb and although the wine was a standard included in the offer we ordered it was very drinkable and went extremely well with all the courses. Would definitely go back for a third visit
Last minute reservation for business lunch and definitely worth it - good food, good atmosphere and now on my preferred restaurant list
Lovely meal with a friend. Spoilt for choice on the menu, everything sounds sooo good and everything we eat WAS really good.
Sashimi was really good, soft shell crab was perfect.
Nice feeling too, quite relaxed, not as noisy as hakasan or yauatcha.
Never experienced someone nicking our
Bottle of the last azure sake a moderately expensive sake when next table dinners
Helped themselves to it
The waiter placed the chiller next to them
And put both our bottle of saki and their bottle of wine in it .
Felt so embarrassed and awkward to tell the waiter at first than I did .
Somehow the waiter-managed to find a carafe of azure and gave it to us though there were more than 3 quarter of our bottle gone . And we were still charged for full bottle which was nearly £100.
That put me off and ruined my evening a bit.
And When the waiter confronted them they claimed to think it is a bottle of water.
Not the kind of dinners I usually mix with .
Best food on the menu is the Aubagine and fresh fig. It was really amazing! However; the rest of the food was not great, salmon under cooked and the attitude of the waitress was not great either. Won't be coming back.
The bar is disappointing with a lack of atmosphere although the cocktails were very good.
The restaurant itself isn't so romantic but the decor is pleasant.
I wouldn't recommend the waghu, caviar, truffle and sea urchin as a good combination of ingredients as they don't compliment each other and all are much more appreciated individually. The rest of the food was excellent.
Great value for money set menu. Portions a good size and everything was presented well. The cherry panacotta was absolutely divine. Service was really good.
Great food in a great location with great service! Will be returning!
Disappointed with the Kaiseki menu. The starters and beef main were poor. Sashimi, fish main and maki were good but not exceptional. Poor value for money and there are much better Japanese restaurants in London.
I liked this restaurant for the best sushi in my life and I'll reccomend this restaurant to my friends
I received an email from Open table about missing my booking when in fact I was late to my booking and did make it. Mind you, I phoned an hour and a half earlier to inform that I would be 20min late. When I arrived the reception desk team told me I never phoned them and that they don't think I lied about calling to inform them but they don't have any record of me ever contacting them. The tone in voice was very condescending and it felt like all three of them were putting me in my place. I thought this was a bit rude as I was even polite to them. The food and ambiance was great. I'd definitely not come back as the service was shocking for such fine dining restaurant.
Lovely space, incredible food
If you haven’t tried this place yet make sure you do it’s amazing!!
