The restaurant is a nice, well-appointed restaurant in a pleasant area of London. My overall experience dining here is excellent. My waitress alias hostess was a witty competent lady originally from Sardinia. She took plenty of time to explain all the possibilities and combinations offered on the menu . The rest of the staff was also friendly and impeccable. The food was excellent.
Initially service was very slow - and we had to follow up on food & drinks orders however it picked up notably as the meal went on. The food was very good & the Saturday lunch offer was excellent value.
Amazing lunch menu on Saturdays. Very nice restaurant and very tasty food.
I was taken to Sake no Hana for my birthday. We had the Umai Sushi, the 7-course lunch menu which comes with 1 cocktail and half a bottle of champagne per person.
The setting of the restaurant is amazing and the food absolutely delicious and very well presented from beginning to start. The cocktails were nicely and subtly composed with unusual mixes of ingredients.
The service was perfect from the moment we arrive until we left.
Sake no Hana is definitely worth a visit!
We were really disappointed with our experience in the restaurant. Besides a cold welcome and apathetic attitude when we were ordering an overpriced and what proved to be a mediocre meal, the waitress who was demonstrating the dish kept touching the plates with her long fingernails.
Interior Design of the place was unimaginative with paper decor hanging from the ceiling and dated bamboo installations.
At £80 per person with no alcohol this is not what you would expect...
The 4 course tasting menu is outstanding, with each course of high quality ingredients, taste & presentation.
The downside was the lack of ambience for a Friday 2pm lunch, where we got the impression that the staff were waiting for us to leave. They had 'run out' of Chapel Down but were unable to offer a suitable alternative.
As this was my birthday celebration, it was a disappointing dining experience.
Looking forward to the taster menu deal via opentable, but ruined by the service. Never left alone, there is someone doing something to the table, serving, asking questions, clearing up every 30 seconds. We were so rushed that without any exaggeration we had all 4 courses of the taster menu within 45 minutes of arriving. Would have been faster if we hadn’t taken our time eating. We sent the last course back and asked for a single break in the entire meal and made the whole experience last another 40 mins. And the food was average and very expensive. After complaining politely, they sent an army of managers to apologise and then provided the bill which had extra items added and had a service charge. Crazy! Do not come to this place, there are so many better place.
Great service, nice place, delicious, good value set lunch. Thoroughly recommended
Food came with hair on it and waiter responding r
We had selected the sakura menu and although dessert is included, it was additionally charged to our bill. We found that too low for a restaurant of such a fame. Unfortunately, we are now convinced that its fame exceedes its quality and services.
First visit and it was really nice and the set 7 course meal was sublime. they even changed a few things due to my dietary requirements, which was much appreciated, as lots of other top restaurants don't do this.
Loved it and will be back, thank you very much.
Sushi Saturday is always good value, but this time the food offering was up a level and the service was excellent. Really enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
Sake no hana is a great venue with high ceilings and a design vibe. The food was great - bento box lunch.
Great sashimi and very tasty sukiyaki. I really like this place. Have been several times and will be back
Hostesses in the foyer upon entry could be a bit more friendly and smile a bit more. They looked miserable and bored. Service was spotty. After being seated at our table, and placing drink orders, the appetizers came and we had to ask where are the drinks we ordered. They completely forgot and the restaurant was even that busy at 6:30pm Wednesday evening. After the first round of drinks, had to ask three times, three different people for another beer. They kept forgetting to bring the drinks.
Food and ambience were very good.
The food was divine. For a restaurant with such a reputation the service was disappointing, we were sat for a good 15 minutes before our drinks order was taken and water glasses were often left empty.
Totally delicious food, cocktails and the best chocolate dessert we have ever tasted. Brilliant service from knowledgeable staff. Well done everyone
4 course tasting menu was good. Staff are very motivated to refill your wine glasses every couple of minutes.
Sakenohana is part of a wonderful stable of restaurants. Sushi is wonderful, as is all the food. Lovely ambience. P.
Unfortunetely the service was quite slow compared to other restaurants in that segment ie zuma, nobu, chottomate etc. Also it was just good. Nothing outstanding
The most fantastic dining experience. Exceptional food, decor and ambience. It is a gem of a restaurant thanks to manager Tom. Especially selected our menu delivering a memorable and brilliant meal. Umami doesn’t do the food justice.
Food is amazing, staff very friendly. However restaurant decoration is not same as what the photos show, slightly disappointing without the flowers.
Locale molto bello , non troppo rumoroso, cibo sublime come il servizio. Ritornerò sicuramente! Ho passato un bellissima serata
First time at Japanese restaurant ... found the food fish and meat quite tasteless, esp the boiled rice. Although food was presented beautiful. Hard to read menu as so dark. Bit disappointed with our choice for a special birthday meal to be honest.
Always well informed staff who can advise on menu choices. The Wagu beef was to die for! Very tasty and very nice decor - too comfortable. Only one point for review - is there really one ladies toilet?
My friend and I had the Sakura tasting menu. It was good, but for the price, and being foodies having been to many Japanese restaurants we expected a bit more. The ambience with the interior decor was excellent. The service was poor. We waited for 20 min before anyone came with the menu after we were seated. We actually had to flag a server down to let them know we had not ordered yet. We both ordered drinks, but the miso soup arrived at our table first. We had many servers assigned to our table, but none seemed to know what they were doing. It took a while for each dish to arrive, and at the end we were told that dessert was not included in the sakura tasting menu - but if it was not part of the prix fixe, that should have been written more clearly on the menu, since the course included dessert on the menu. I ordered a drink at the bar downstairs, which was excellent. My friend ordered the same one upstairs in the restaurant, and it was a different drink. If you have lots of patience and don't mind the long wait, the ambience is worth it. But don't dine here on a rushed schedule. If you are craving upscale Japanese food, take a look at other options in the area, there are plenty of better ones.
Very expensive even for comparable restaurants in the area. Standout dish was the wagyu beef. Most other dishes were good but not outstanding.
Excellent quality food and service. Best sushi that I have eaten in London I would highly recommend it.
Wonderful evening excellent attention by all staff who were very courteous
We opted for the pricer set menu, for an extra £16 I chose the black cod. And aldo included a glass of Perrier Julet champagne (my fave) overall I think it was definatly good value for money. Will be going again :-)
Food was exquisite, well presented and portions were perfect for a 7 course tasting menu. Atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were very attent and polite.
Our waitress explained all dishes perfectly and they were constantly checking on us to make sure everything was ok.
The only issue with the service is that it was a bit slow at times, once we ordered they forgot to bring the cocktails for around 15-20 mins and after that the first course still took some time to arrive.
The price for the Saturday lunch menu was reasonable (£115 for two people including a bottle of champagne and 2 cocktails).
All in all a good experience and I would recommend it, as the food makes up for any small issues.
Better than Nobu and Sexy Fish! We had the signature £71 menu. It was worth every penny. Every course was more delicious than the last. Service was good although we did have to wait a while to get the bill and the courses came a little to quickly before the next one. Cocktails took a while to come but they were delicious. The set menu would have been better with a free cocktail 👌🏽 The Sakura installation looked very pretty and the ambience was cosy and relaxed and you could dress up and down and feel comfortable. Would recommend and would definitely dine here again.
Always great food and excellent hospitality service, we had a great time...
...but any place that happily expect all customers to share one bathroom, really couldn’t careless about said customers, they should have made us aware of the situation and at least try to be more accommodating. Disappointing.
The food is always amazing. The sashimi is like butter, the tempura is crunchy and never greasy - and the cocktails are delicious!
The lady at reception was very rude. The rest were fine.
Having frequented at Hakkasan - Miami, Mumbai, New York, London (2), and Las Vegas, I’ve been curious about Sake no Hana, a Hakkasan property, for some time.
Unlike Hakkasan, Sake no Hana ditches the sexiness, music and dark theme for a modern Japanese design focused on the sushi and sashimi.
As this was a lunch date, the glam was replaced by penguins (suits), who strangely impress their clients there even though they’re spending their money (look under advisory fees).
The resturant’s quiet, open layout’s centerpiece is the sushi counter, where chefs precisely prepare fresh sushi and sashimi.
And that’s it. The upstairs bar is tucked in a strange corner, there are no distractions, no maze intricacies, just great sushi and sashimi. Because if you want all that other stuff, then there’s Hakkasan.
High expectations absolutely no fulfilled. Tasteless fish, uninspiring and cold service, all-in-all a bad experience. Will never come back
very good tasteing menu
Excellent value, thank you. Weekend set menu and champagne.
Great atmosphere, great food especially the presentation of dishes
