Was so disappointed, visit jersey a couple of times a year last ate at the salty dog about a year ago which we thoroughly enjoyed. So sorry on Monday June 18th it wasn’t at all good, service fine but the food poor, although the price was adjusted accordingly it didn’t make up for the let down.

Nous étions venus pour le fish and chips et nous n'avons pas été déçu car conforme à nos attentes. Serions nous restés plus longtemps sur Jersey, sans doute aurions nous renouvelé l'expérience pour gouter à plus de spécialités.

We always make a point of eating here each time we visit Jersey. We had a wonderful meal again this time, in fact we both said it was the best we had had in ages!

Excellent. My friend on her first visit from the UK accompanied me and it was easily the best evening out we had all week. Food was lovely, service and staff excellent - definitely will be going again soon.

Has a pleasant enough meal with friends but the portion sizes were inconsistent and the menu was overpriced.

This restaurant was one of our favorites. On this occasion we arrived at 7.50 pm and had one drink at the bar whilst we chose our food. We sat down at 8.00pm and our starter arrived Immediately. No sooner had we finished and the main arrived. The whole thing was done and dusted by 8.20pm. My girlfriend couldn’t finish her meal as it was too rushed. Seemed like the restaurant had 4 sittings in an evening. Not what we had in mind for a romantic dinner.

The food was stunning. The service and the deliverance of the food was far too sssslllllllooooooowwwwwww!
We felt that the restaurant was doing us a favour by allowing us to eat there!
Left a small tip as opposed to none at all. This ensured that I had considered leaving a tip and not overlooked it!

This was our second time here and every bit as good as the first time. We overheard someone where we stayed say they thought it was expensive and yes it costs more that some others in the area. However it is worth every penny. The service is excellent, the food is absolutely delicious and there is a decent selection of drinks. It is definitely worth what you pay.

An excellent meal and good service. The only disappointment was being slotted into a cramp corner of the restaurant when it was still half empty by the time we finished our meal and had left.

Could have been so much better. The only table we could get when pre-booking was 9pm, which would normally be fine, however when we arrived, we were kept waiting for over an hour before we were actually shown to our table, so by the time we started eating it was around 10:30-10:45 which wasn't ideal. The food was OK, but the whole experience was completely ruined by being seated right next to a table of 8 very loud young people, all a little worse for wear and just extremely loud! I hardly tasted the food to be honest - I can't even remember what we had now, I had to cover my left ear a lot of the time as they were shouting at each other across the table and we were literally placed right next to them - not good when trying to eat what should have been a lovely meal out to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary - and yes we stated it was our anniversary when booking but it made no difference. In summary, it's a loud restaurant (they weren't the only loud ones!), which is fine if you're in a crowd and shouting across the table at each other, but not good if just a couple wanting a nice meal out. I would only return if it was at the beginning of the evening, when it might be a bit quieter, or early lunchtime.

Chose from the set menu. Starter and main meal lovely, however, after waiting 50 minutes to order dessert we decided not to wait any longer. We got the bill which included the desserts that we didn't have. When questioned the staff adjusted the bill so we only had to pay for what we had and they also knocked 10% off too.

The food was good and reasonable value for money. The thing that spoilt our evening was a large party of diners who were incredibly noisy. We were seated right next to them and it was difficult to hear or talk above their noise.

We were on holiday visiting Jersey from Newcastle. It was a trip to celebrate my birthday and we have been to the Salty dog before, during our last two visits to Jersey. We absolutely love the food, atmosphere, wine, customer service and the location.
We will definitely be back next summer.

Great staff. The food is a mix of tasty local seafood and southeast Asian cuisine. The peanut butter cheese cake is to die for.
