Great atmosphere, excellent food and good service. The roast pork was one of the best Sunday roast pub meals I've ever had! Will be back very soon.
Great food, excellent friendly service and a good atmosphere. Perfect for a local family night out.
Always a great time and delicious food!
A friend suggested this gastropub saying that it was pretty good and the value was good overall.
I was pretty disappointed as I checked the menu beforehand and had already chosen to order the venison fillet, I was so looking forward to eat it!
Unfortunately the menu they have on Opentable isn't the same they're currently offering.
I therefore opted for scallops as a starter (they were ok, nothing exciting) and a chicken breast with a kale, cauliflower, and other bits salad. The chicken was tasteless and tough, it was not a good choice. My boyfriend got the pork cheek and the smoked haddock. They were alright.
We also got a dessert (apple crumble with vanilla ice cream) and it was delicious (at least!).
We drank one beer and two glasses of house wine, and the bill was £90.
I think it could've been cheaper considering what we got and the area (Queen's Park, not Oxford Circus).
I won't go again and wouldn't recommend to a friend, sorry.
Good value Sunday lunch with decent breadth of choice.
Decent Sunday lunch - very tasty roast beef - but took ages to arrive and when it did it was tepid!
Very tastefull food and friendly service. Excellent choices of wine.
newly refurbished restaurant very good, food very good indeed. only gripe is that there are some new staff who found it difficult to understand english, having to point at items on the menu, hopefully experience will improve this
I booked a table at Salusbury Pub to catch up with some friends who were visiting London and were keen for a good pub meal. It certainly didn't disappoint, the food was good quality and really tasty. It was a little pricier than some pub meals, but certainly worth it. Will definitely be back.
The food was reasonable but not good, the value the worst, I think it is overpriced for what you get...
We'd booked but they had to kick someone off our tAble. We ate late. The good was really good. Buzzing place.
Nice pub with a friendly atmosphere. Good choice of food and a delicious white chocolate cheese cake. Dog friendly.
quirky pub, good quality food, fine selection of beers and wines. have eaten here many times
We visited the Salusbury for lunch on new years eve and the dining room was particularly sparse and empty with no decoration (possibly as they were having a party in the evening). The food was good quality, the service was pretty poor - we kept having to go to the bar to order as no-one was attending to our table even though there were 8 of us. My biggest gripe though is there is only one option for a children's meal which is fish and chips. I asked if they could do anything else and was told it would be charged at full price - personally I think paying nearly £15 for a burger for a 7 year old is ripping off the family market, of which there are plenty in this area.
The ambience was good. The weather was good and it was pleasant to eatv at a place where the door to the street was open. The waiters were professional, friendly and helpful.
My only criticism was that it was extremely noisy and impossible to have a conversation. Although there a quiet adjoining room, we were not offered a table there.
We are so lucky to have the Salusbury as our local. The atmosphere is fantastic and everyone around is have such a good time......a very happy place.
Been here a number of times now and it has improved dramatically in our last 2 visits and is now our 1st choice for Sunday lunch. The roast beef excellent, service very good (they've brought in some more experienced staff I think), wine very good value and buzzy atmosphere.
Nice, modern gastropub. Good choice of beers and cider. Food is quite simple but well executed. Staff are friendly. Bit slow to get my sirloin of beef sunday roast but what came was tasty and in a large enough quantity that i couldn't finish it. Beef could have been rarer (served medium) but was just about rare enough, which is still better than most pubs manage. Solid roast potatoes.
Simple bistro style cooking, very good size portions, loved the apple crumble! Great topping and tart apples :)
Very buzzy for a midweek dinner!
Really attentive service and very tasty food especially the chocolate tart with sour cherries!
The team are always friendly and helpful, service is excellent, food is always great, tasty and consistent, the roast beef is better than anywhere else in the area. A good selection of well looked after beers and a great wine list, well done everyone at The Salusbury – keep up the great work
Great place for a beer and meeting friends. Friendly staff, good menu and good selection of drinks
