Friendly and cosy setting. Excellent food and service. Highly recommend.
Amazing food - as good as anything we have ever had in Italy. We will be back!
Wonderful restaurant we will be coming back to! Delicious food and warm service, can't recommend highly enough :)
Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to and the best pizza I’ve ever had! Will definitely come back when I next come to Manchester
Excellent staff and lovely food. Great menu options.
Great place great people great food
One of the best italian restaurants I’ve ever been to! Great service and even better food, molto molto bene!
Excellent food and service. Shared starter with a delicious selection of meats and cheese. Garlic bread with cheese was awesome too. Lobster ravioli for main course, seafood risotto and a pizza all fabulous. Coffee and Limoncellos to finish waiters were friendly and efficient.
The food is amazing and the service is very attentive.
Will definitely go back!
Couldn't fault it. Food & service were excellent. And the cost wasn't will either.
Overall, very good. Would eat here again without hesitation.
Wonderful venue, gorgeous food and an excellent host. The balloon acknowledging our 25th anniversary was a beautiful touch too.
Very good service from very friendly staff, limited menu but what we had was excellent. Great evening
Brilliant food. Fantastic friendly and accommodating staff. Will definitely return
The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding. We visited on a busy Saturday and, despite the restaurant being full and turning people away, the standard was commendably high. The Italian cuisine was really tasty - excellent pizzas. Really good value for money and a popular place for Manchester dining.
Loved it. Food was excellent and flavourful. We left totally satisfied. Pasta mare was amazing and the tortino al pistacchio out of this world. Will be back to try the rest of the menu
Always a favourite - family-run restaurant with authentic Sicilian cooking and a long list of specials. I've been several times now and it doesn't disappoint.
Amazing service, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere.
Very good quality food. But pricey considering it's just pasta. Tried a calzone and pasta with some vegetables and red sauce. Very tasty and good portions! Beautiful rustic decor and quick service.
As always brilliant . Thank you so much for making my mums birthday special and for decorating the table . My mums first visit and it won’t be her last
Went for lunch on 6/6/19. Ordered the ravioli of the day which was with meat. The food was not hot, probably because the plates were cold and the meat was quite tough. Also had the mint cheesecake which I thought was ok - no more. On the positive side we had a nice glass of wine, good, friendly service and I liked the ambience of the place. I will give it another try but will have a pizza next time which is what most other people were eating. At £35 a head this was not a great value experience but as I say I will give it another try.
It was ok, the tuna tartare was a little tasteless, no sign of the capers and the cherry tomatoes tasteless. Calzone has some ham with a lot of mozzarella. It was ok, however I have eaten in better Italian restaurants in Manchester
the food is amazing and the prices are really good as well.
Lovely staff and amazing food!
Delicious! Not too noisy and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend! Pasta and pizza all fab!
Delicious food and wine. Perfect service allowing us to eat at leisure which we enjoy.
Excellent classic Italian dishes in an intimate, friendly atmosphere.
Arrived a little early so had a drink and the table was ready on time even though restaurant was full. Great service from nice team, food was authentic and very good quality. Way better experience than the chains !!
Thanks and we will be back
Great food and service. A bit pricey if you compare to other pasta/pizza places and considering the cost of the ingredients
I was really pleased with my starter, but the main course left a lot to be desired, my girlfriend also had an awful main, carbonara so cheesy she couldn't eat it.
The restaurant was quiet when we got in but we had to wait a few minute for someone to seat us. We ordered bruschetta with tomatoes and fried mozzarella for staters along with sparkling water, a wine and a beer.
The staters were lovely, although the bruschetta bread was a bit soft and needed toasting more. The drinks arrived and tap water instead of sparkling...not a big deal.
We then had a a calzone with artichokes and four cheese white base pizza. Both very nice but the filling in the calzone wasn’t hot enough. The dough however was great!
I would definitely go back as it’s one of the next pizzas I’ve had outside of Napoli
Great service lovely food fab staff
We booked a day ahead for a visit to Manchester and found all tables occupied when we arrived but for one that had been put against the backs of other diners. We were put there for five minutes whilst another table was vacated then moved over. The service was fast, friendly and polite; the food was superb, authentic Italian fare, freshly prepared to perfection. This is a lively venue, good for those of an outgoing nature who want to feel energised in their meals; every group kept to itself but the overall noise level was high from the sound of people enjoying themselves in social company rather than with background music (if there was any of the latter, I couldn't hear it!).
I very much recommend Salvi's Cucina and congratulate the family on their professional approach and great food.
Outstanding service highly recommended. Food is true Italian and the finest quality. Had mentioned it was a birthday totally blown away with the banners, ballon and rendition of happy birthday. Made our day very special.
Always a lovely meal and experience
Food, wine, service (especially Giovanni) and ambience always amazing.
We frequent many times.
Very authentic. Best Italian restaurant in Manchester. Will definitely be going back.
Food was poor. Pasta low grade. Italian sausage bland
Salvi's always meet my expectations. The pizzas are perfect and I specially recommend the Diavola with extra italian sausage! And the service is also friendly and helpful! I will be back my next visit in Manchester!
Lovely tasty food great staff.
We will be back.
Lovely authentic Italian restaurant in John dalton street. Food all good quality ingredients, fresh and tasty. We shared bruschetta, carpaccio and squid to start - carpaccio was stand out starter - but all three were top quality. Spaghetti vongole was wonderful - the right amount of good quality olive oil wrapped round spaghetti and clams served all dente. The sausage gnocchi with ricotta was wonderful. Would definitely return. Just returned from Italy and Salvi’s food is definitely comparable - and better than their sister restaurant in the exchange! Which is also good but not as atttentive friendly staff. ! Beware portion size - you might need to share-very generous
We will definitely return. Thank you Salvi’s
