Lovely place to eat qnd meet friends for a relaxing time. Lovely food. Excellent wine and the desserts were delicious.
After having a fantastic experience at the restaurant before with a friend, I visited again but was very disappointed. Waiters were not particularly attentive. I ordered a drink which never came and had to ask for it again. Our table water was not refilled and we had to ask for it. We had spaghetti carbonara which came lukewarm and pasta with Italian sausage. Both dishes came on cold plates which made the food go cold within minutes.
Very disappointing especially that I was highly recommending the place after my first visit which was on a Friday night so very busy, comparing to my last visit where we were the only table to start with! Sadly not good enough :-( so unsure if I want to go back.
Excellent meal, great surroundings, great pleasant team, vet helpful would recommend highly for an authentic Italian experience
Delightful and authentic Italian restaurant with delicious food and attentive service
Really enjoyed our meal. We were half an hour early for our table but they accommodated us with no problem. Service was excellent and the food was delicious, would definitely recommend.
Had lunch with my family (we were total of 6 people) the food was outstanding. We waited a bit too long for our mains after they provided the starters but when it arrived it was worth the wait. Service is great and the staff are so friendly. My son has a nut allergy and the staff called us to let us know risks / contamination and they were professional - we ended up bringing his own meal from home. Overall I will def come here again.
Excellent, authentic Italian food served with a smile and excellent cocktails!! Great value for money would come again
Service poor. Booked table for 6.15pm. Arrive 10 mins early. Ignored for 10 mins. Complimentary drinks given, but felt rushed & not welcome. 2nd visit, probably will not go again.
Starter was lovely. Main courses of pizza were disappointing and soggy. Wouldn’t go back.
Quick friendly service.Delicious Risotto and pasta as good as food I have eaten in Italy.will definitely return
Service was terrible, waited well over an hour for pizza and they weren’t very busy!
This isn't our first time eating here which I'm glad about, the service was super slow! They ran out of lemonade & I requested a water which never turned up. That being said the food in this place is always amazing maybe they just need to employ a couple of extra staff to help out for busy periods.
place was lovely. gorgeous Italian food, staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was great!
Excellent food, staff pleasant and professional at all times. We love this Resteraunt 😀
The pizza to us wasn’t cooked the base was very doughy. We got told this is the Naples way. It took just 5 minutes for them to come out!
Great food and amazing service in a lovely environment
Staff not very welcoming, table wobbly, food very average and pricey
Dissapointing, felt not wanted food average, service only just ok. shame.
Well the food was amazing felt like you was in Italy the restaurant felt like you was in a quaint alleyway in Naples in stead of feeling like you was just in another good chain restaurant. I’d highly recommend it for a nice night out with the wife.
Amazing food. Restaurant is very cosy and authentic. Great idea to have kids make their own pizza at the table.
First time here at Salvi’s and won’t be the last! Fabulous authentic Italian food and atmosphere with great service. Well done Maurizio and all the team. See you all again soon.
Nice place visit. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, nice food.
Food good, service good apart from I had to remind waiter about our request for water. Seated us next to the kitchen door, not ideal and wasn’t busy. The glass if wine I requested was not available, the next option was 1 and a half times the price
I have found it difficult to find authentic italian cuisine - but Salvis is the closest to eating in Italy in Manchester. The food is fresh, the pizzas authentic, and the carbonara is made with Guancale and egg, not bacon and cream.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and will deffintely be visiting again soon!!!!
Breaks my heart to be so critical of Salvis, as it’s a place I’ve enjoyed over the years. I haven’t been for over a year, but decide to take my sister to celebrate her 40th birthday. Basically, after singing it’s praises, I was left feeling embarrassed and ripped off!
Food was substandard in quality of offering - it would have been nice to have a decent amount of prawn in the prawn pasta for example. The waiters, though nice enough, we’re ridiculously forgetful (or didn’t understand) and messed up our order from start to finish and after waiting 15 minutes for a dessert that didn’t materialise, I paid the extortionate bill and left.
Won’t be returning
Always good in every way - food, service, ambiance. Great place to go.
Took some good friends and their one year old here for lunch and we had a fabulous, long and lazy time. Salvi's food is always yummy and the service happy and relaxed. I love this place - and my friends did too.
Friendly staff, lovely food, as a table of 5 colleagues, about to do the midnight walk, we were probably the noisy ones!!! Great atmosphere.
Lovely food and the staff were really friendly. It was just before a Take That concert so busy and service was a little slower than normal but overall fab.
Lovely food and very friendly staff, only downside was there wasnt a gluten free dessert that my friend could have, so she had to go without!
We booked a table for a meal before going to a concert. The food was amazing, could not fault the food at all. Well priced and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
Love Salvi’s - the best pasta and pizza and great service!
Very enjoyable meal in an afternoon. Food was excellent.
The food is always good here but we had to wait along time for the food on this occasion.
Food was really good. Unfortunately the service was poor - being a busy bank holiday, it didn’t seem they could cope with the number of customers. I would give it another try though as the food is lovely.
Went with my mum before we were going to see take that at the MEN .. it was extremely busy as it was also a very hot day.. they just didn't have enough staff , even though they were lovely the service was not great.. the food however was delicious and very authentic.
Excellent food platter and lovely staff. Definitely would recommend
For me Salvi’s is the best restaurant, Italian or otherwise, in Manchester. The food is impeccable and authentic, they haven’t made the place enormous and impersonal, it has a great feel about it and service is always great. Couldn’t recommend enough. Not out first time there and it certainly wont be our last.
Called in for a quick lunch before going to a show at Manchester Arena. The food was very good with a good choice of pasta, pizza and other mains.
Service was efficient and very pleasant.
Consistently good food with a great atmosphere and service
