We were a party of eight and all our food was very tasty although we very nearly got another tables order, just a couple of little niggles when you are paying £7.50 for a cocktail you expect the glass to be over half full and our waiter was a bit quick taking another cocktail away when not quite finished he also did this with some garlic bread but overall a pleasant dining experience
We had pizza with parma ham and pasta with salsiccia, both where very good. Fast service and nice personell. Little tricky to find the restaurante
Went here for New Years Eve and wasn’t disappointed! The food was gorgeous- a real treat. The staff were very warm, friendly and accommodating too. Have already recommended it to loads of friends - I can’t wait for my next visit!
The food was lovely but the service was very poor unfortunately. Myself and my partner were waiting a long time for the waiter to come over. We waited 20 minutes just to be given a desert menu. I could understand if It was a busy night but it wasn’t and there seemed to be a fair amount of staff on so I couldn’t understand why we had to wait around.
Great service lovely food able to order to how you like it
Food was excellent, service great even on New Years Eve! Best Italian food I’ve eaten outside Italy!
Outstandingly good and lovely atmosphere, couldn’t be faulted
Good food. Service was a bit too pushy for my liking
Cosy feel Italian in the Corn exchange. Food was tasty and good portions. Staff were great with our 3 children, friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Lovely dining experience, thank you.
Nice setting, good value food and friendly staff. We went as a group (3 couples) for a catch-up. It was a nice ambiance. Lots of choice for wine, the Pinot Grigio was lovely. We’ll definitely go again.
This restaurant was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and I would recommend to anyone. Will be back
The atmosphere here is really good lovely staff and the food is excellent.
Food was great service excellent friendly staff would highly recommend it
Great slice of real Italy in the centre of Manchester. Staff always excellent. Food perfect.
2nd time here and even better than before 5 of us dined and had a couple of the sharing boards to start and the pizzas and pastas for mains. The ladies enjoyed the aperol spritz anx the italian wines and beers suited the guys perfectly.. next time in manchester we'll return to Salvi's
Took my Mum for her birthday. We love Italian food and have eaten in many places around Rome & Sorrento & the fact that Salvis sources their food from all over Italy makes its authentic and makes you feel like you’re eating in Italy.
The tomato sauce is outstanding.
Great restaurant, good food however it was very busy and quite hectic. Had to remind the restaurant staff what we’d ordered but it was worth the wait.
We booked to go before a concert at the MEN. All started well, shown to our table and drinks. Starters were very good. We had ordered Pizza for main, one was very 'wet' with a soggy base in the middle , we ordered a second set of drinks only one of two turned up, took 10 mins for the bill to arrive and a further 5 for the card machine (which is my pet hate). The table next to us sent their risotto back twice.
Food ok , price ok, service not great. Would I go back, probably not there are better places.
Good quality genuine Italian food and drink, Great atmosphere though a little too noisy with Christmas parties. I would certainly recommend this place as one of the better Manchester Italians. Molto Bene!
great food and the staff were so friendly. i had a great time and greatly recommend!!
Myself and two work colleagues had early Dinner at Salvi's last Friday. There was a great atmosphere, not too noisy. As it was Christmas the Restaurant was very busy and we had a short wait for our table. Once seated we were offered drinks and the choices were excellent. The drinks arrived promptly and our food order was taken. I had a glass of Prosecco that was dry, just as I like it. We chose from the main Menu that had a great choice, especially of pizza and pasta. I had Bruschetta to start which was excellent followed by Pasta with Aubergine and Ricotta which was delicious. The service was very good, just attentive enough. This was my first visit to Salvi's and I will definitely return. I've already recommended this place to friends and family.
The ambiance and menu promised much, but unfortunately very little was delivered. My husband chose the spatchcock chicken. When it arrived, it looked as though the breasts had been removed, there was so little meat on it that it reminded us of the meals currently being served on I’m a Celebrity.
My ribeye steak was jelly-like in texture. By far the worst thing served was the wild broccoli. It was truly disgusting, smelling and tasting like cabbage left boiling for several hours.
The staff were pleasant and the wine was very nice, if a little on the pricy side.
We will not be returning.
Great food! and great atmosphere- a good
Fantastic food and great atmosphere. A little hidden gem.
Had a really nice meal. Service friendly and food good
I booked this restaurant as it was close to the Arena for a concert. The food was tasty, and authentic. The service was good, and the pistachio cannoli was to die for!
The food is very nice ,but the pizza are a bit pricey .
Great food and experience. This restaurant feels real and authentic, right from walking in via the deli. Your house red is good and better than most other restaurants.
Look at what you have and the way you deliver it and don’t lose it.
The only minor improvement point I can raise relates to plate size. My wife and I both had the seafood risotto and my wife’s meal was noticeably smaller.
We will be back soon, once again with friends.

We were a table of four and on arrival things were good with drinks being served promptly along with our starters. We waited over an hour for our mains and had to chase the waiter to order further drinks which didn’t arrive!!! We cancelled that order and decided to order a bottle of wine as we thought that would be quicker. Such a shame as the staff are lovely and it’s a great place but badly managed.
Always a great experience. The food, drink, ambiance are excellent and the service is very good. We will be back.
Great food, lovely ambiance. Service was a bit slow at the start but it was pretty busy. Service quality was good though and the food was delicious.
Lovely food! Also enjoyed the deli upstairs before leaving the restaurant.
Amazing food and service, and gave us a great table in our own little section.
Lovely food, as usual
Delicious homemade pasta and authentic Italian drinks. Lovely, friendly service. Nice cosy underground restaurant.
I went to Salvi’s for pre theatre dinner with my 6 year old daughter before watching Matilda. It was very small and quiet when we first arrived but soon filled up and is clearly very popular. I soon realised why... the food was delicious! I had a spaghetti carbonara and bruschetta and my daughter had a pizza which was traditional Italian, thick dough which they cut into a cat shape, very cute. Really simple kids menu which was perfect. Ice creams were also gorgeous. Perfect place for a nice quiet meal in the city centre but still with a great atmosphere. Great selection of wines also. Would highly recommend and will be re visiting.
Distinctly average. The food was bland and lacked flavour. Good atmosphere though
Thought the food was lovely and the service was good. Didn’t think the waiter was very friendly though, a smile would have made all the difference.
Great find in Manchester, an authentic Italian. Food smells wonderful when you walk in and tastes as good as it smells. Staff friendly and very efficient.
Second visit. Had a lovely strarter which could have been a little more generous in size. Pizzas were great.
All freshly cooked. Service good. Worth a visit
