We visited Salvis for the first time on Saturday prior to going to a gig. The restaurant was very busy, but we were served in reasonable time and the food was lovely. There was a busy but pleasant atmosphere and we all really enjoyed the experience. I had the Italian sausage with caponata which was delicious. Would happily recommended, and would go again when visiting Manchester.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Friendly staff, greasy atmosphere, authentic, you can even buy the wines and other food products from the deli. From the outside looks like a deli with outdoor seats, but downstairs 👏👏👏👏. They also have a prosecco bar in the exchange building which is fab too. Highly tecommeddd.
Food was fabulous and plentiful. Great selection. The place was lovely and cosy and the service was great. Watch out the starters are huge.
The food was oh such a high quality and found it very authentic napalese food. Anyone who goes there must try the mozzarella and experience what real mozzarella should taste like. Incredible flavour in all the dishes ordered and would recommend the seafood rissoto for those who like the flavour of the sea.
Unfortunately the waiter spilt a whole mug of hot coffee down me to end the meal and only took the coffee off the bill. I had expected slightly more compensation, considering I had to walk away from the meal with coffee stained shorts, after drying them in the toilet for 5 minutes, leaving the experience a bit flat.
Authentic Italian cuisine and staff. I've given 4 stars for the ambience as I would have preferred traditional Italian music to be played.
Amazing city centre setting. Opportunity to sit outside and take in the Manchester sights on a glorious sunny day. Restaurant inside is gorgeous and designed to a hip and trendy standard. Cosy and candle lit so perfect for a get together. Food was gorgeous, the mozzarella board was the best I’ve ever tasted. An Italian restaurant run by Italians, what more could you ask for. I’ll definitely be going back. 5 stars!
Got a real soft spot for this place, but we were kept waiting absolutely ages last weekend. We thought it was because the place was busy, but turns out our mains order hadn't been sent through to the kitchen. Good job we'd had the mozzarella platter to satisfy our hunger pangs. And we weren't charged for our drinks by way of apology.
Very good food and it was lovely to be able to sit outside. Very friendly staff. The restaurant was very busy. I would happliy eat there again.
As always, a great experience - good service, ambience and fantastic food.
Amazing food. Amazing staff. Amazing restaurant. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
I have been to Salvi’s Mozzarella Bar on a number of occasions now. The food is excellent and the service is friendly. It is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is typically Italian. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Can also treat yourself to things from the deli upstairs after your meal.
Went on a date and although I was slightly late, the staff issued my date with a complimentary glass of wine. Service was smooth quick and efficient. Food was amazing. Pleasantly surprised when I received the bill. All good and I’ll be returning
The most authentic Italian food I have found in Manchester! The lunch offer of a mozzarella tasting board with any pizza or pasta plus a glass of prosecco for £14.95 was amazing. I had the vongole and finished every last bit of it, can’t wait to return.
We had a great evening with great food and service - all 7 of us was happy. We will absolutely come back when travelling to Manchester next time.
Excellent food and atmosphere. We really enjoyed it and I will be back
We came upon salvos by chance, when we were just in the area, and thought it looked good so gave it a try. Overall it was excellent, unfortunately one of our meals was cold but was quickly and efficiently rectified. We'll go again
Great food and service best place to eat in Manchester
One of our favourite places to go and certainly the best Italian in Manchester. The four cheese pizza and board are amazing. Great drinks and service too and they don’t rush you to hurry up with dining.
Highly recommended - the most authentic Italian restaurant in Manchester sourced by ingredients and fresh foods from Naples. Always a fantastic meal with brilliant customer service
Great Italian food. Famed for mozzarella, as the name implies. Great pasta and pizza. I always enjoy the food here. Mozzarella sharing platter is lovely.
Salvis is always a treat but this was extra special. I took two friends who had never been and they loved it. The special ragu was outstanding, rich and comforting. We had three, very relaxed courses each of which was excellent and so very different from your usual 'Italian' restaurants - because Salvis really is Italian. We were particularly happy with the service - our server very quickly realised we wanted a relaxed meal so courses came when we were ready - which meant we spent a good three hours on our lunch - perfect. Being able to thank the Chef at the end was something we valued because the food had been so good. And our bill came to a very respectable £50 each - which included the equivalent of three bottles of decent wine. If you've never been to Salvis - you really should go. Whether you want a quick snack or a full blown meal the quality will not disappoint you.
The food was very authentic, flavourful and we thoughly enjoyed our meal.
starters were exceptionally good - pasta dishes very good, but the pizzas were tasty if a little disappointing by comparison to the starters & the pasta dishes
We visited the restaurant as part of a birthday celebration and pre concert meal and we're not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, especially Klaudia who greeted us in the Deli and spoke about all the authentic Italian ingredients and the menu.
The food and the service was excellent, with the waiter, who's name I can't recall regularly checking to see if everything was ok.
Overall our first visit to Salvi's was very memorable and we will certainly look to return very soon.

Wonderful family-owned Italian restaurant. Fantastic traditional Italian food, great service, friendly staff, accommodating to changing food orders to meet your wants/needs.
Has a great deli upstairs that sells a lot of the stuff they serve, and more.
A hidden authentic gem that makes you believe you're in Italy.
Not been here before, but will definitely come again. A group of 4 of us were looking for somewhere to eat near Stoller Hall that wasn't a big chain, and this appeared to have good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. Definitely a great decision, as we had a fantastic meal. The restaurant is downstairs below the delicatessen (quite hard to find really), and is a little gem. Authentic Italian food, friendly waiting staff and a nice ambience. Not quiet, but not too noisy either. Highly recommended.
Absolutely delicious - everything our group had was perfect!
This is my third visit to Salvi's and each time I taken difference friends who have all enjoyed it and want to come back. The food is excellent best pizzas in Manchester. A very authentic italian restaurant. The service is fantastic, the staff are friendly and very welcoming. Can't wait to go back!
Great for a pre theatre dinner. Excellent mozzarella. Well cooked vongole
Lovely meal and attentive staff. The ambiance is relaxed and authentic. Food was delicious and good value. Will be back!
Really is a gem of a find. We have visited numerous times and it’s always consistently excellent. The food, the ambience and the service. We will definitely be back.
Came for lunch with friends as we had a lovely meal in December. We were quite disappointed with the food this time, my seafood pasta was so salty I couldn’t finish it, and the sausage pasta was too spicy for my friend.
We have eaten at Salvi many times before. However this latest experience was disappointing . The pasta was very dry and the risotto very salty. The excellent service was the only thing we recognised from our previous visits.
Great food. Quite cramped and noisy. Ideally located
The carbonara pasta was too dried, even the microwave food taste better than what I have ordered. And the pizza was too salty. The pizza crust was too thin and burned.
Fabulous as always! Great food and service, a really happy atmosphere.
Mothers Day treat on our overnight stay. Great service, delicious food. Everyone suited. We will be back for our annual trip to Christmas Markets.
What a find , this place is superb I’ve been twice now once for a snack and once for a meal and both times it was exceptional. This is now our favourite place to eat in Manchester !!!
Disappointing meal on a Friday night. Surprising as it was busy.
Starter of mixed bread, olive oil and balsamic was terrible ..bread was stale and all the same. The dipping bowl was too deep to get to vinegar
Both of us had risotto very mediocre and for mixed sea food would have liked more than one prawn!
Authentic Italian food and setting.
