My dinner was very nice. But wouldn’t recommend the restaurant for anyone with “special” dietaries, the menu very limited. My friend did not even find one meal on the menu she could eat as she’s GF,LF, WF. And the waiter could not understand it, at the end she ask if she could have just chips (at £4.5 was very pricey for its taste) but fried separately because of her intolerances but that could not done as there was no oil to replace it. But overral the restaurant is quite nice and the service was quick!

Really enjoyable meal here with my daughter ahead of attending a show at the Manchester Arena. But of a delay in getting our table which the staff were very apologetic for. Service thereafter was excellent as was the food - would highly recommend!

A few minor issues with service. We asked for table water at least 4 times before it arrived at the table. We were also charged for ice cream that my child had when we were also charged for the child's set menu.
Other than that to service was fine and the waiters very pleasant.

I cannot wait to visit again. Food was superb and the atmosphere was really cosy . It really is a hidden gem. Next time need to try Prosecco bar too as didn’t realise it was there! Very authentic restaurant- highly commended - not the cheapest but worth every penny.

I went with a friend for lunch and have been once before with my husband over a lunchtime too. The food is great, all v authentic and served by an attentive Italian waiter. Many of the customers are Italians too which is a great sign for the quality of the food. Not the most chic surroundings but wonderful nevertheless.

Love Love Love this place!- a hidden gem- a cosy family run Italian -serving the best Italian food any of our party had ever tasted! Service lovely and the food was absolutely outstanding- focaccia bread / the mixed meats/ mozzarella plate to share- divine and everyone's main courses from pizzas to seafood pasta all delicious. Teenagers verdict ' best pizzas ever- when are we coming back?'- Would thoroughly recommend it- just can't believe i hadn't heard about it before. Thank-you!

We had a wonderful meal at Salvi's, a relaxed, informal Italian restaurant. The food was delicious - impossible to single out one favourite, but we particularly loved the calamari and courgette fritters, and the desserts (Millefoglia and the canoli). The staff were very friendly and efficient. It's quite a small restaurant (I would advise booking), and tables are fairly close together. The eating area is downstairs, and no lift, but there is wheelchair access via a door which leads out onto the street. We would definitely go there again when in Manchester.

I'd struggle to recommend Salvi's for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I am not a fan of basement dining and recently I didn't highly rate the pizza. The tomato topping wasn't reasoned well at all and the base very doughy. Staff were ok but not that attentive.
Prices were reasonable but I hear Franco Manca is coming to Manchester and this offers much better value pizza and better tasting pizza in my opinion.

Waiters/ waitresses do not write your order down, so we had to ask twice for our first glasses of wine. The waitress had to remind herself what my order was. Second order of wine did not arrive and again we had to get a waiters attention (seemed very busy) to request our order again. We did book, but our table was in the middle of the restaurant and people walking past regularly. The food (especially the pizzas) was very good, very good value and we would definitely go back. Have already recommended it to friends !!

I have always visited the Salvi's Cucina in John Dalton, and it was a first time at the Salvi's Mozzarella Bar. Unfortunately, the pizza I ordered was very burned, so much so, that the taste in each bite was bitter. The manager agreed to replace it, while my partner ate and I sat waiting. Once the pizza was replaced, I thought it was still burned (less comparatively), and the cheese was all gathered in the middle, and the pizza was elongated in one side. I could understand it was hastily made, and the manager explained why this pizza is burned and why Dalton Street is not - received a crash course on pizza making, while all we wanted for our Valentine's meal was to enjoy a nice dinner, without unpleasantries.
(The juice I ordered, even though it stated fresh juice, had the taste of being brought out from a carton)..
We did not risk ordering dessert and just wanted to get out of there..!

Cosy, typical busy Italian. Ideal for pre theatre dinner (MEN in our case).
Great pasta, particularly the pasta con tonno.
Friendly staff although service slightly disorganised at times with longish waits. Fortunately we weren't in a hurry so not a problem

We pre- booked our table at Salvie's to enjoy an evening in Manchester before going on holiday the next day, this made a great start to our holiday. The service was exceptional, we were escorted to the restaurant from the cocktail bar and met by friendly staff, a great atmosphere, good background music and excellent food..we also discovered there was a 40% off food offer which had been applied to our bill, overall a great experience followed by great cocktails in the Corn exchange bar run by Salvies, we will certainly book again next time we are in Manchester!

I booked a table about 2 weeks prior to going. It was for my birthday. When we arrived they looked slightly concerned that there was no table booked even though it was on the reservation list. A gentleman seated us and gave us the menu. 5 minutes later we were moved to a different table where they was a constant water drip dripping down on to my husband’s neck and his coat near him. He was quite annoying but there were no other seats available as the place was very busy. There was no toilet roll in the ladies toilets and people were taking napkins from the table in to the toilets to use. There was a family sat next to our table and the children were constantly knocking our table therefore our drinks were constantly moving. The food was nice and it seemed to be a nice atmosphere. I was probably here for around 30-40 minutes as it was quite noisy and I just wasn’t relaxed.

Booked for lunch this week and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. Service was really good and food amazing. I liked what I seen on other people's plates and asked what they were on the menu. I wasn't disappointed. I actually bought the pasta in the shop over the restaurant and their Parmesan cheese. Quality of pizzas are brilliant and so fresh. The pasta dish I ordered with tuna was delicious. This is my third time here and We will definitely return in near future. Thank you guys for an amazing lunch.
