The food here is so incredible! There's a lovely casual atmosphere and the servers are very friendly and happy to help. It's not cheap but not unreasonable either and the food is absolutely worth it.
They don't really cater for allergies which is a shame. An allergy isn't a choice. They also missed chips off our order.. It wasnt charged for, but was asked for.
Such a good experience, service and energy from all the wait staff was incredible!
Better than any pasta I had in Milan !
Very friendly staff, who cannot do enough for you. Great service, I didn't have to wait long after being seated to place my order and then receive my food.
Pizza was very tasty, just very wet in the center and the base was soggy. The canolini was beautiful & the cappuccinos were heavenly.
They provided sheltered outdoor seating, and blankets. Perfect for cold nights dining!
Will definitely be returning.
We had a brilliant time! It was so nice to be out for lunch again. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. We felt really welcome. Very happy! Thank you
Good overall. Outside area could do with some heaters. Enjoyed experience overall, service a little slow at times, but it was quite busy. Felt safe.
Terrible service and terrible food. We had to wait 90minutes for our food after ordering - we saw people giving up waiting for their food and leaving without eating. Our drinks were taken to the wrong table and we had to reorder drinks. When my starter arrived it wasn’t what I ordered and they later tried to charge us for the more expensive starter I had originally ordered. In the end I was were sick of waiting and ate the wrong starter. Both starter and main course were tasteless, so the food wasn’t even worth waiting for. Won’t eat here again!! So much for OpenTable ratings, this restaurant sucks..
It was freezing out side portions small and expensive not impressed
Food and service was outstanding, would have been nice if they had some heaters
I think this was my 4th visit to this restaurant because it never disappoints. The food is amazing, the staff are really friendly and the new outdoor seating is great. I recommend the Koko Bellini cocktail, delicious!
Service staff run ragged with the amount of table. Waited a while to be seated then took a long time for anyone to take our order and to even someone to ask a question. Took 10 mins between getting the bill to being able to pay.
Not staff's fault, needed more staff on shift. Food was great.
Outdoor dining only due to lockdown - not sure whether it was our table but just had to keep catching the waitress or find one to order more drinks
It was so nice to be out again. With the outdoor vibes and the sun it felt like being on holiday. Thank you
Lovely food and great service. Also really nice location
Good meal and drinks, good service especially because it was extremely busy
Really tasty and fresh Italian food with good atmosphere
The best place in Manchester to eat and drink, would recommend!
Portions are tiny and it’s well overpriced for what it is, the carbonara wasn’t even a proper carbonara and we got 6 bits of ravioli, you kinda just sit there and think ‘where is the rest of it’
We had a lovely afternoon with great food and service.
Great food and didn’t feel rushed at all. Will definitely return
Great outdoor seating area with good space between tables. Food and service were excellent
Delicious food and great atmosphere
Delicious Italian food
Food was outstanding! Service was friendly and efficient. The only negative comment was that when we arrived we were asked if we had a booking which we confirmed but our name wasn’t taken so we received an email later in the day saying we hadn’t honoured our booking which was frustrating that we had to email back to confirm that we had actually attended the booking. Otherwise completely positive and fantastic lunch!
Great food & wine tables quite close please t serving staff Will go back when warmer as could have gone with heaters
Delicious food, with friendly service and an overall great experience.
Having been to Salvis before I was hopeful that we were going to have a lovely experience but it was absolutely terrible. We waited for over an hour and a quarter for our food, the service was chaotic and disjointed and my food didnt end up arriving before I had to leave to return to work - it was my birthday lunch and I had to take it back to my desk to eat it there as they took so long and I would say that it was average at best when I ate it. Very very diss appointed.
Incredible food and atmosphere as always! Been coming to salvis for a couple years and it never disappoints.
finally had a chance to eat out and was really glad to have found a place with booking available. We ordered 3 starters and 3 main. waited for a while and starters arrived. We enjoyed the starters thoroughly although the platter wasnt really quite worth the value as it cost over£15(?) and with one slice of parma ham, one slice of salami, one and a half pieces of mozzarella (which was really amazing), lots of rockets and 2 slices of toast. and some breadsticks and olives. The amount of meat (one slice) just does not justify the price of the platter. The zucchini and squid was amazing too. We then waited for over 40 mins for the mains even though we were told the mains would come 10 minutes after the starters finished. Unfortunately the mains were not worth the wait. They were overly salty and were just inedible (all 3 of them). The bill came to about £120 but appox. £50 for the mains were wasted. Especially for one of the mains (Fish stew) was the worse, in the menu it stated that it came with bread but the waitress said it does not and she said you just drink the (soup) which there were barely any and not to mention it was super salty. She refused to show us the menu again and just said it did not come with bread. The issue was resolved after another waitress brought us the bread and ironically, only the bread was editable for the mains. Other than that, the service was ok and the atmosphere was very vibrant. I would really like to recommend this restaurant but I cannot consider it a pleasant experience this time round.
Fantastico. Our second visit in a week. Love the food, the ambiance, the service and the setting. Will definitely visit again.
I enjoyed the food and was nice sitting outside, service was good just didn't have any rose or Pressecco left on the menu.
Great food, great atmosphere, lovely wait staff! Highly recommended
Lovely food, prompt service despite being fairly busy, lots of social distancing and all staff very respectful. The food was brilliant and it is a lovely location
We booked as a table of 6, all of us ordered starters but not all came together and some mains even started to come out before all starters were served. They had run out of a lot of things on the menu that we wanted to order and the waiters had no idea what food was going to what table. A few of us sent food back because a pizza that was ordered was really wet and a main was a minimal portion. I understand that this could have been the desired portion but for the price and compared to everyone else's food it seemed like 1/4 of the portion. Wouldn't book again, was a total headache and was a sad start to lockdown being lifted.
We had a lovely lunch at Salvi's. Great food and service - it was a pleasure to eat there in such lovely surroundings watching life go by. Just wish we could have kept the table longer.
It was a horrible experience the staff was rude we got forgotten about. Then made to feel like we was a problem. Chips came after main. Main was freezin. It really was awful. People around us was changing the seats while we was still waiting for mains. They clearer need more and friendlier staff cause was man was awful to me. Very rude man. Clearly hates his job. Do not bother booking. This was such a let down and a recommendation from someone who spoke very highly of this place and food
Nice food and drink, nice location, we wasnt really that hungry, but we ordered pizza and beers which was nice, then ordered another beer, and decided to take pizza home for kids, then a rude waiter was amazed and surprised we wanted to take it home, almost wouldn't allow us too. Nice food nice location, not so friendly staff.
Starters and mains were brought over at the same time.
Didn’t realise until after paying they had added around £20 on top which I can only assume “service charge” our meal came to £60.
Wasn’t an awful experience but service was poor so service charge is a joke
