First time in this restaurant which is part of the D and D group. Excellent all around. Good friendly but professional staff, food excellent and ambience excellent. The set lunch is a bargain.
The food was great! I particularly enjoyed the creme limone! The service was fantastic and we felt very welcome!
Absolutely awesome everything !
I think this is the best Italian restaurant in London, the food is stunning end service is really high standard, I don’t understand why they don’t have yet a Michelin star.
Really well done Sartoria, I’ll definitely come back.
From the moment that we get inside the restaurant until the end of our meal, everything has been perfect.
The young manager and the Italian waiter were simply attentive and not intrusive. I love relaxing restaurant and Sartoria is the perfect one. Try the Veal Milanese it’s superb.
Slow. One of my clients got wrong meal. My eggs were awful. A real surprise, previous dinners were good. This breakfast was bad.
Great restaurant , great food and service . Amazing ambience, strongly recommend it !
Cibo molto buono staff eccellente
Our meal at Sartoria was a little hit and miss.
The ambience and decor are classy, but slightly let down by details, such as lighting being too low, and music being loud enough that we had to ask staff to turn the volume down.
A starter of Vitello Tonnato was beautifully presented, with perfectly cooked and sliced veal, but the tuna sauce lacked some flavour.
Fettucine with venison ragu and pistachio was nice, but no more than that, again lacking the fullness of flavour one would expect from its ingredients.
Slow roasted black pig belly with cavolo nero and black pudding was good, but the black pudding was so small that it added nothing to the dish.
Turbot with artichokes lacked seasoning, was let down by the puddle of water sitting under the fish, and the dish itself was very poor value because there was so little fish on the plate.
Sides were of a generally high standard, and good value, being a generous size, the zucchine fritte overflowed its serving dish (but for the real thing try this at Locanda Locatelli).
Wines were very good: we drank Franciacorta and Barabaresco Asili.
The desert selection was somewhat unimaginative. The pistachio cake we tried was moist and of good flavour.
It's worth saying that the espresso coffee was excellent.
Given its location and cool decor, we'd like to see if lunch and breakfast at Sartoria are of a better standard and value.
Really good Italian food, excellent service and great wine list.
Really enjoyable and will definitely go again.
Grown-up Italian food in a comfortable environment with charming service.
Great starters at a reasonable price, we had the platter to share and it was delicious but just too much food. Great ambience tastefully decorated, super comfortable and attentive service. Ideal for a romantic meal as it feels very private with tables quite far from each other which is great.. . It is however better for a special occasion then a catch up with friends considered I found both wines and mains of good quality but rather expensive... but I guess is just what you would expect from a place in Mayfair. Overall I would recommend.
Lovely service. Great if pricey wine. Mash rather sloppy. Fabulous lamb. Antipasti had too much meat and lumps of hard cheese. How about olives, artichokes, dried tomatoes etc.
Great place but wine expensive if you're not there on business!
Set menu a little limited.
The waiter forced wine in our glasses too frequently, with the expectation we would order another bottle. This is irritating and rude, I don't need any physical help to drink wine. This is poor practice which needs to change.
Very welcoming and professional staff, outstanding food - great 360 experience. Thanks!
Evening standard set menu
Havent been for 3 years...still as excellent as ever.
Probably the best Italian restaurant in London. Head Chef Francesco Mazzei creates wonderful Italian dishes that are traditional and innovative at the same time. Flavours are explosive, best Italian wine list in town, attentive service and great location.
we had breakfast, food was lovely, service was a little slow however we were in no rush so it did not impact on the meal.
staff very friendly, food great.
Sartoria has always been one of my preferred restos in London and Mayfair in particular.
I like the atmosphere, the ambiente, the food and last but not least the very friendly staff.
I have been coming over years and it has always been a very good restaurant, but it has noticibly increased its level of food over the last 18 months/ 2 years.
A great restaurant . Classic service but not cheap. I’ll keep returning though
Went there for the NYE. Menu was very expensive when looking at what we had in the plates. High quantity but low quality especially the dessert that was a couple of biscuits/cakes (no real cooking in that). There are dozens of other and better choices of restaurants in London.
I was very disappointed with Sartoria. This is a has-been restaurant. The food was unimaginative and underwhelming - watery sauces, small portions, boring sides. It was New Years Eve, the restaurant was half empty, and the servers still rushed a four course meal into less than an hour. The food was way overpriced, and the experience failed to make up for that.
Amazing place! Good ambience, drinks and food ❤️
We arrived late for our table having been delayed by travel problems. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, even after we’d lingered over lunch for 3 hours! Delicious meal of authentic Italian food.
Had a nice lunch here but to be honest I was a little disappointed. Nothing to complain about.
Food was fine, but nothing outstanding. Just a little underwhelming to be honest.
Shame, as I like the restaurant itself and have really enjoyed on previous occasions.
Just didn't quite reach my high expectations this time.
Attentive staff, good food. However....a mystery cover charge was added to the bill for no apparent reason and the selection of wines by the glass was dismal. Sadly, I won't be going back for both those simple reasons.
Sartoria styles itself as the best Italian restaurant in London and it certainly has prices in line with that boast. At a Saturday lunch the large restaurant was deserted except for one other couple, service was nevertheless so casual as to be almost nonexistent. Wine was not decantered or poured, empty glasses and plates were not cleared. And the waitress summoned with some diffulculty was unable to describe the cheese choices beyond the basics of soft, hard and white. The pasta with white truffles had congealed into a lukewarm lump. The mains were ok. Lunch for two came in at just south of 300 pounds, a price nowhere near justified by the food nor the service.
Absolutely love this place. So cosy and comfortable yet smart. The tables are nicely spaced to have a comfortable conversation. Service is fantastic. They do wonderful cocktails. Great menu, great wine list. Highly recommended!
The table service was really bad..very slow. After we finished our mains, instead of offering us desert they moved us to the Bar area to have some drinks. Once seated we were told the bar is closed and we cannot order anymore drinks.
When we request the last drink, Mr. Mow then told us that they had to close the restaurant at 12:30am on a Saturday night..🤔 and wouldn’t be able to serve us anymore..( very rude individual)
Not pleased at all. Will not be going there anytime soon and will definitely not, recommend it to any of our friends..very disappointing.
A classy Italian fine dining experience on Savile Row. Very comfortable environs and good service. Excellent wine menu. Food all good if rather plentiful, could be smaller dishes. A primi and secondi with sides proved too much for us. Risotto was exquisite, same goes for bacalao. Trusty Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio accompanied our meal very nicely. Affordable by London finer dining standards overall.
Friendly staff, great cocktails and food, nice atmosphere
M'aitre d' was excellent at start when half our party were late because one got lost, but thereafter a bit lacklustre - slow refilling water and wine glasses, gave us the wrong bill and didn't apologise - but food was lovely and bill not as high as had anticipated.
Great food, ambience and service as always fab wine suggestion
Sartoria remains consistently good. This time we had an amazing hot cocktail comprising brandy and amaretto among the ingredients - very welcome for a cold December evening.
Our main courses included calves liver and the outstanding risotto which is always high on our list of favourites here.
The service was good as usual and food great - always worth going out of the way to eat here.
We had a most enjoyable meal and evening in the restaurant. Excellent food and service. Beautiful setting and we can highly recommend this restaurant.
When we walked into the restaurant at 10:30 PM for our reservation, we were told that the kitchen was about to close. Normally, this would be fine if the restaurant would’ve handled it differently, instead they made us feel like we were not welcome and the wait staff was borderline rude. This was unexpected and unfortunate, since we had a reservation for 10:30 PM, we expected a normal dining experience. My suggestion would be to not accept reservations at these later times if they’re not looking for customers to stay late.
A little too overpriced
Enjoyed a lovely dinner with the wife. Good food but average service.
Always a winner! Great service, great food and reliable. Bravo.
