This is neither a chain restaurant nor a franchise, it is a family owned and run restaurant and has been in business since 1995.
We cook all our food, sauces, bread, pates and desserts on the premises. Everything is homemade with fresh and natural ingredients. If we can’t make it, we don’t have it! We never use precooked food, flavour enhancers or preservatives. We only use natural butter, cholesterol free oils or olive oil.
Our wine has been sourced from the best wine producing countries in the world and the wine list has been put together with care, to offer the best value for money wines.
The price you see is all you pay. There are no hidden charges and all the meals come with vegetables and a basket of freshly baked bread. We have no happy hour or buy one get one free. We try to give the highest quality food at the lowest possible price. There are very few restaurants that can make this claim.

I have frequented this restaurant for a few years. The venue is easy to reach, the staff are friendly and I have always very much appreciated the cuisine. Perfect.
A great place to eat pre-theatre.Tasty, good portions and attentive staff.
Great place and lovely people.
Surprisingly good little set-menu lunch in a lively and contemporary feeling place. We had an attractive position at a corner table. Unobtrusive background music, if any. I had an excellent fish of the day (hake) and traditional tarte tatin. Good location on New Oxford Street close to the BM .
Sorry to say but everything was good with food and service until our party was to pay for the food. After splitting the bill between us the waitress told us she was missing money. We then found a credit card strip on the floor to add to the full amount, but she still said that she missed £10. We were in a hurry to the theater so we didn´t have time to count everything all over again, we had to pay extra £10. I am used to split bills but this has never happened to me before. We were really disappointed with this.
Very well located for the British Museum, theatres, etc. Very popular and busy. We had the early evening menu and a carafe of wine. Squid and bouillabaisse were excellent and there was a great choice of wine by glass and carafe. The waiting staff were great especially as they had two large tables to accommodate and had managed to fit us in as a late booking. Family run place with great charm.
I had been coming to Savoir Faire was years until I left the UK in 2011 to work abroad. I come back occasionally when in the UK. The place has not changed in terms of ambiance or quality of the food. I love the French bistro feel and the friendly staff. However it is the food which takes pride of place; it is really of excellent quality at a very reasonable price. The chef has been there for 20 years and he knows his stuff. I was there in early March again and me and my partner had a very enjoyable meal. I had the chicken livers as a starter followed by crispy belly pork. Both beautifully cooked and presented. What is not to like!
Excellent food all prepared in the kitchen. The tarte tatin alone is worth a special visit!
Great place to meet a friend in a central London location.
Lovely food and ambiance, we got a table by the window as we requested and had a great time! I really enjoyed the lentil moussaka and my friend loved the lamb.
Lovely quirky restaurant. Delicious home cooked food. Excellent service. Really great - loved it.
Excellent food at reasonable price. It is a great French Bistro serving genuine dishes.
we were a small group of 6. The menu was enticing, the price of the various dishes very reasonable.
Enjoyable decor inside the restaurant. We would certainly go back.
Lovely little bistro. Only negative - The tables were quite close together.
Food was delicious- moussaka lovely but quite salty.
Flexibly menu options. Very good value. Delightful staff.
Throughly enjoyable meal and well cooked. Excellent service and I recommend downstairs if you want it to be a little quieter.
Everything was fantastic....
The food and service was 2nd to none, will definitely go back....
Really delicious dishes and a mouth watering menu to choose from.
We spent several hours chatting away and never felt rushed.
It's a good volume for being able to chat but a nice amount of ambiance too.
Staff very natural and friendly.
Thank you Savoire Faire!
A great place for an informal catch up with friends. Very reasonable prices and always reliably good food.
Excellent, authentic French cooking - great value - I am a semi-regular customer and Savoir Faire is consistently good = thank you and well done !
This is a delightful, relaxed dining experience in a small but professionally run bistro restaurant. Delicious fresh foods and an ideal location not far from the Oxford St / Tottenham Ct Rd junction. Warm French ambience.
This was our second visit and will certainly go again if in London. Excellent food, so tasty and good portions.
My wife and I found this little gem a few years ago, and almost always visit when we are in London, which is once or twice a year. The food is always good and the restaurant, although small at ground level, has a great quirky ambience (check out the ceiling). For white wine lovers, I would recommend the Viognier, which has always been good.
We were very disappointed with Savoir Faire especially after reading so many positive reviews. On the plus side the red house wine was excellent. The food was just about average certainly not gourmet in my view. We all had steaks which were OK but nothing special. The French onion soup was poor. The gents toilet facility was very poor with no bathroom tissue and the ladies was apparently not good. The service was good and our waitress was very friendly. Overall this was not a very good experience and we will not be returning in the near future.
Lovely food and friendly staff.table was small
As ever Savoir Faire provided excellent and good value food in a relaxed environment. Staff were really lovely 😊
Great food as always, nice, unhurried service and cosy old school atmosphere. Such a gem in central London! Set menus good value too!
Savoir Faire's consistency and unfailing charm make a visit to New Oxford Street whenever possible a "must" The bistro - style small tables and minimal space make we more clumsy characters nervous but once settled the bouillabaisse sweeps all before it and the kidneys are another favourite. We'll be back!
Excellent food, affordable prices, cheerful friendly service - fast becoming my favourite West End restaurant!
Lunchtime with family at one of my favourite London bistros. This was not our fist visit nor will it be the last. It really is like being in France in London.
I haven’t seen my friend Liz for 3 years when we last visited London from Australia. We also hadn’t met her lovely daughter or husband. For this reason, we wanted to make sure that our chosen lunch venue wasn’t rowdy so we could catch up properly.
Of course our other requirement was great food. Savoir Faire was perfect and gave us such cosy and special afternoon. The food was delicious with highlights being the kidney entree and the homemade lemon tart.
The staff were lovely, providing attentive and warm service and allowed us to sit on well past the designated slot. I can see why this beautiful, somewhat quirky restaurant has been so popular for so long. Highly recommend.
This restaurant had some of the best salmon I have ever eaten! We came for New Years Eve, and the food was delicious. The waitstaff was so nice and overall the experience was superb. Would definitely eat here again!
Good home-cooked food. Genuinely different. Been there many times. Fully recommend
I have never visited Savoir Faire at lunch time, when they have a set lunch menu only. The choice was varied. I dined with two friends and we all had two courses and we shared a bottle of wine. With a couple of coffees, the bill came to just over £30 each including tip. A hidden gem between Tottenham Court Road and Holborn tube stations.
Service was poor on a quiet night. Limited menu. No a la carte option. Not great for kids. We were told they could order kids steak & chips.........they did. Cost same as adult version! Tomato pasta was unimpressive. Butternut squash salad, uninspired. Guinea fowl was good. Expensive for what it is
Fantastic ambiance, helpful staff, wonderful food at a very reasonable price, what's not to love?
Superb food and excellent value. Keep going back for more.
Our experience was excellent beginning with the reservation. We were booking the festive menu for our Christmas Eve dinner, and being from overseas wanted to make sure everything was in order with our booking. I called and spoke to a lovely woman who put me at ease. We actually arrived early for our reservation due to catching an earlier train, and the restaurant accommodated that with understanding and a smile. The food was delicious, the staff attentive but unobtrusive. We even got into a nice chat with the couple at the next table. It was a wonderful, memorable evening.
Wonderful gem of a restaurant. All of the food was outstanding and we enjoyed the wine as well. Highly recommend.
We had a delicious meal and the staff were excellent.
I’ve been to Savoir Faire several times - always with big parties and we’ve always had great evenings. There is something wonderful about the atmosphere here especially for a restaurant right in the centre of London
Wonderful family restaurant!
