We very much enjoyed our dining experience at Savor. We had been meaning to try this restaurant out and glad we did. One of the best Italian restaurants in the area
This was my 4th visit to this restaurant in the last month or so. I have enjoyed the food, deserts, and service. The food was delicious. I recommend the restaurant and plan on going back frequently.
very low-key place with good food and great heart. Just another great unpretentious local restaurant
It was a terrible rainy stormy evening... disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy the out front patio. Parking downtown is always an issue. But this is a convenient half way point for friends and we like a bring your own establishment. Service was good and we were left to enjoy our visit with friends. We both shared the pear salad, which was split in the kitchen..a really nice touch. Dinners were a pork chop, blackened chicken, roasted cod, and seared scallops. All came with a starch and vegetable. No one said anything but food wasn’t stellar.
Love Savor! Great menu! Attentive service! Our new favorite Somerville restaurant!
very good, food wss very tasty and hot. wait staff was very nice and service was fast. Had Homemade fettuccine bolangse. Delish, my husband had Sbrimp scampi.
Booking my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner here.
Great service but my steak was cold and raw. I asked for med rare steak and never had a raw steak like that before.
Very good food service atmosphere.
The restaurant was cozy and the service on point. The food was great too.
Great food and service. Parking was a challenge, but everything else was exceptional.
Absolutely exceptional meal. We were the only ones in the restaurant initially so we got fabulous service. Friendly. Generous portions...Plenty for lunch/dinner the next day. It may well become our latest favorite Somerville restaurant!
Good local Restaurant-a plus that it is a BYO. Food and service are overall good. This location has been so many restaurants though the years--hope this one remains.
Being a Somerville resident for 7 years, this was actually my first time going here. The food was good, and the portions are BIG! There was not too much authentic on the menu. Not to much of a spot to bring your kids though. I would maybe go back, but not for a while.
We chose Savory as it was half way for each our us to travel. The food was excellent, ( I had the Mushroom Ravioli which was so tasty). The waiter was attentive and the noise level made it easy to hold a conversation. The tables was tastefully decorated. Will return in the future.
We had an enjoyable time with friends e had not seen in over 3 years. I had the feeling that the staff realized this and let us enjoy time with our friends. This was not our first visit, each time in the past the servers seemed to know how to time things. Looking forward to our next visit.
Superb food, pleasant atmosphere, prompt/congenial service. Best Italian I’ve had in many years. Homemade pasta )
Excellent service and food. Split a beet salad with my friend and took half my meal home.
This place is consistently terrific. We have eaten here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed. The pasta specials are my favorite- the pasta is fresh and homemade. We like to sit outside, right on Main St.
We enjoyed a good meal at Savor Restaurant. The menu leans towards Italian, we liked the mashed sweet potatoes. Chocolate lava cake dessert was a standout. One exception: The rolls were not very good and not worth the calories.
Very nice waiters and host - food was delicious!
We took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu and our food was delicious. We will definitely return.
Awesome food! Blackened shrimp appetizer, shrimp scampi and red snapper entrees were outstanding! Service was attentive and courteous! What a gem! We will be back!
Excellent food and attentive service! Recommended !
Make sure to ask for Ronald. Service is impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. Food was delicious.
This was our second time at this restaurant and the food and service was very good. Light music in the background and homemade pasta was good. We will return for dinner again in the future with family and friends.
There were so many good choices on the menu at Savor, we had a hard time deciding what to try! Everything was very good, fresh, some different, some "the usual" but very well prepared and presented. Our waiter couldn't have been more courteous, attentive, efficient. Our only concern was parking, but on a Friday night we parked right on Main Street, just a few steps from the door. We will be back!
They gave very large portions. The salad really could have been shared by 2-3 people. The food was fine. They said they make their own pasta, but my fusilli seemed like what you can get at the store. Someone in our group had a steak and that actually looked the best.
We were warmly greeted upon our arrival. The owner, Robert came over to say hello, variety of dishes offered was excellent. Steaks cooked to perfection!
Savor is a nice place to go for a casual dinner, especially during the warm months when you have the option to grab a table outside facing Main Street. Inside is cozy though and the decor is fresh and inviting. The service is usually very good although during our last trip our server neglected to bring us our salad and the next thing we knew we had our entrees in front of us. The crab cakes are not lump-style crab cakes, which good crab cakes should be. They were just run-of-the-mill overworked shredded crab meat and tasted like anything you'd get anywhere they don't know how to make a proper crab cake. The orecchiette with Italian sausage was, like the crab cake, acceptable but not great. This would have been much better if there wasn't a comically large pile of wet spinach served on top. The sausage was good and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The best dish on our table was the Fettuccini Bolognese. It was delicious and hearty and the fettuccini was cooked properly. Good Italian comfort food. Overall, this is a solid BYOB joint that won't pick you up, turn you upside down, and shake all the money out of your pockets. Pick up a nice bottle of wine and go enjoy yourself at Savor -- just don't expect a 5-Star Michelin experience.
Everyone at my table had seafood. We enjoyed our crab cakes and scallops. The fresh vegetables were a nice side. Our server was very attentive, but not at all bothersome. He did not push us out the door just let us have a casual dinner with old friends and it was nice evening out. We will be back.
We dined with a party of four. Everyone's appetizers and entrees were very good. The portions are huge, service was friendly and attentive and the prices are more than fair for what you get. We would definitely go back.
About my 6th time there and it never disappoints... What a great place, with great service
Nice selection. They don't rush you. Everything was delicious! Server was friendly.
We thought it was a great find. The food was tasty and served hot. Waiter was attentive but not too much. Good food with vegetarian options. Downtown Somerville with tables outside for summer. We've added them to our list of go-to restaurants
The food had just enough extras to it (like an excellent dry rub on the steak) to enhance it without making it fussy. The food quality was also excellent, as was the service, and the cannoli was better than any I've had in Little Italy.
Enjoyed.. nice little restaurant in Somerville. Byob
Absolutely enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
I came here for lunch when I was on jury duty. I loved it and the staff and chef was so accommodating to my gluten free restrictions. I returned for dinner this week with a friend and we both loved it.
This is First time we were disappointed in food and service-very salty scallop dish and forgetful
service-had to repeaat requests several times.
It was my 4th visit and the food never disappoints. It's a can't miss dining experience.
