Good food. Great server. Hostesses can be a little more attentive and kind. We had a 7:15 reservation, I called to let them know and they said no problem. When we arrived we waited about a half hour to get seated.
Absolutely hands down the best food and service we have had in a long time! Stellar! Can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding evening at The Liberty Hotel and Scampo. We enjoyed a cocktail prior to dinner upstairs in the lobby bar area. Wonderful service from Erica and then made our way to Scampo for dinner. Our waitress, Gina, was outstanding and the food scrumptious as always. We will be back!
The food a d the service was wonderful. Our waitress, Holly, was helpful and the consummate professional
Try the garlic bread - mind blowing!
The duck was phenomenal, good wine and cocktail list, not particularly cheap but certainly reasonably priced compared to similar restaurants in the area.
Brian, the waiter was a pleasure and extremely knowledgeable.
Great spot for a very nice meal. Have enjoyed Scampo 4-5 times since they opened and I have never been disappointed.
Great seafood/Italian restaurant at the Liberty Hotel!
The steak I ordered was greasy. I was not given a steak knife and it took quite a while to attract the waiter’s attention to get one.
He never refilled my water glass- and it’s not like it was a busy night
Excellent! First experience and will return if staying at the hotel.
Daughter’s 22nd bday and graduation from college
The pizza came out cold, but was tasty. The pasta carbonara was really tasteless. Expected more
Food and service were great. Bit overpriced. They kept opening the door to the back of restaurant right behind us and it was freezing.
All of the dishes that we ordered were very good. The lobster pizza was delicious. Portions were nice sized. The seating was very comfortable and the service was great. Would definitely go back...
Cool ambiance, but as a table of 4 our dinners not served all together. We waited 5-10 minutes for 2 dinners to come. Sauce on plate was dried and food looked as it it has been sitting out. That said Sea bass was good, pasta good. We arrived restaurant 5 minutes early and were seated about 10 or 15 minutes late. I can chalk that up possibly to COVID restrictions? Our server was polite, helpful and professional, but the timing of food served apart like that was a major missing. The hotel is cool, as a former jail. I’d highly recommend a drink at the bar Clink, but I can’t say I’d recommend dinner at Scampo with other great restaurants in Boston. Could have just been an off night though.
Great service, great food, nice vibe. Only minor issue- the igloos were set up outside, so anytime the door opened for people heading outside you'd get a blast of cold air. However, in these times, it's understanding that some people want to dine outside and the restaurants are trying to survive with less occupancy. Overall, we had a nice night and will definitely return.
I will definitely come back.
Delicious as always
The staff is extremely attentive and well versed on the food and wine menus. The staf adheres to all the covid guidelines as well and it was an overall wonderful experience.
Great service , handle covid protocol very well, food was very good , service attentive and prompt
Seated at the bar ,
My husband and I both ordered the same steak and his tasted like a container of salt fell on it. When we asked for a replacement they said they ran out of steak which was really weird because it wasn’t close to closing and it was a weekend. He ultimately ended up with pasta and while we understand things happen it wasn’t really handled well. Would not go back.
Our first server was late in coming to us and did not tell us of specials or anything A second server came and took our drink order. Then he first one came back and again asked us for drinks. When they came out they were taken to the wrong table.
Fortunately Gina became our server after that and she was wonderful!
What a wonderful dinner and the service was top notch!
Superb food and service. Found the place a bit noisy.
Excellent experience again ! Even with Covid. Ask for Brian - he's fantastic.
It was our first visit to Scampo. We were out for a date night. The wait staff was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and just the right amount. The price was reasonable too.
Best meal I’ve had in boston since august. Blown away by the quality. We had the burrata peach salad, Chilean sea bass, and the duck, and all were better than any restaurant we’ve dined at in months, including mistral and Sorellina. Cannot wait to go back to scampo, although we might just do takeout next time!
We ate in an igloo and it was wonderful. We had the pear pecorino ravioli as a starter and it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I had the chilean sea bass as a main and my husband had the steak-- both were absolutely delicious. I wouldn't change a thing. We enjoyed this meal more than anything I can remember in a very long time.
Nice evening after a year without being in a restaurant! Delicious and attentive!
Brian our server was excellent! Food was delicious!!
Entree included a blood-red rare steak, I ordered Medium. Steak went back twice. Rare both times. Waiter was great, saw the problem both times and apologized. The skewered lobster was like eating crusted rubber band and so small it could be eaten it one bite, maybe two. Scampo, If you can't cook a steak, Twice! why did you charge me for the meal? I left it to be thrown out.
Food was really good, portion size was on the small side. Service was amazing.
Challenging time for restaurants and the folks with them. They are doing their best. Think the supply chains are not as robust as the food was less fresh that from prior times. The mozzarella was somewhat more harder and the sauce a little more salty. Small quibbles but that what's 5 star is about.
Food and ambiance was over nice, the bread rolls were warm and toasty. The pizza was rightly done. The staff was attentive.
Look for the starters to choose from, they are almost always a good choice.
Very good food, excellent service, thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Great spot in a cool hotel
everything was fabulous from start to finish a five out of five ,kurt our waiter was great;Iwould highly recommend it!
Great waiter and the food was fantastic.! The fries in Duck fat and truffle oil are to die for.
Great food and service. Pricey, but for a special night it was delightful.
Fabulous and safe service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere.
We have not dined out much because of Covid, but we felt very safe here with distanced tables and a very clean space. Our server was patient and kind and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful and calm and our food was wonderful. We had: mozzarella/tomato/basil salad, spaghetti carbonara, lamb pizza, ravioli with pork and ricotta, and a lovely bottle of Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso Riserva and finished with Blood Orange sorbet topped with a delicious biscotti. Delizioso!
