Sea Fu - Four Seasons Dubai DJB Ratings and Reviews
The staff were very helpful and kind. They rang prior to the event and organized the chef to write happy birthday on my friends dessert as we were celebrating his birthday. They made excellent recommendations regarding the menu. The venue was beautiful with lots of diners enjoying good food and a cozy atmosphere. I will definitely be back.
Overall it was nice experience. By nature, it has nice view. However currently there is a construction across the hotel & restaurant which is a bad luck
Music/DJ is very very nice, matching with atmosphere & allowing guests to talk.
Taste of the food is unique & delicious. The team was very kind.
Maybe dessert menu can be more reach.
thank you for everything
Every member of the team deserves 10 stars. They were friendly, professional, welcoming and went the extra mile. In a city with often patchy service - the team at Sea Fu stands out. I was disappointed I didn't note their names down and recognize them individually. Many thanks! Tony
Epitome of Four Seasons elegance and professionalism. Every staff member was great: we were well looked after without the service being intrusive. Speed of service was faultless. Waiting and bar staff were knowledgeable and helpful (and had personalities!) Only small negative: turn down the volume of the music in the bar. We're not in a club and neither are we deaf.
The idea of a Blind Menu was intriguing. Each course was different and totally delicious. Lots of food.
Personally, we would have like to have a little more time between the courses.
The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients.
Fantastic Saturday brunch. Very refined and chilled with a gorgeous view and superb food and drinks. Attentive wait staff who met our every need. Our group of 8 had a wonderful time. Highly recommend, we will be back! The only slight issue we had was on arrival when we did not receive the table we had booked (indoor by the window) and we had to argue with the hostess and ask her to look up the original booking email. Luckily the requested table had already been set up for 8 persons and so we were able to get it. Not a very smooth arrival process but overall we still loved our experience and will return for sure.
We went to eat 4 times in Sea Fu during our stay in the Four Seasons Hotel Dubai.
The restaurant usus very fresh products; we received very tasty dishes of which some have fine Asian influents. All what we have ordered was a an exceptional fine en fresh quality. Tuna carpaccio is one of the tuna we ever eated. The sea bass in Chilean style is one of the best main course along with the snow crab. At most as possible you have the same waitor serving you during your dinner. Great admosphere inside; but also the outside is recommended for dining with fire heaters, outside cocktail/aperitive bar and even the possibility to sit in lazy chairs on the beach... 30 meters from the Persian Gulf. The last night of our stay my wife received some flowers in Sea Fu. Very much appreciated Sea Fu staff! Keep up the good work; see you again next year!
it's my second time in Sea Fu. The location is really great with a nice set up and great ambience. The service is great as well and staff very friendly and helped me with the birthday surprise. The outside seating in winter is great with the heaters around adding coziness to the ambience. Food is also very well cooked with great taste.
The location of the restaurent is fantastic, its romantic and designed well. The food overall is good, especially the fish in salt and sushi. we also ordered ebi prawns, expecting to see prawns but we got tartar not even looking close to what ur expections are. Was disappointing, but the waitress changed the dish and appologised. All the situation could be skipped with the proper menu discription or if the waiter explain the way the dish is prepared.
Also want to mention the serving, overall was good, the waiters were always around and they did have knowledge of the food, wines and cocktails. But when we finished the dinner around 11pm they disappered. there were noone around and after waiting for 10 minutes, went to reception of the restaurent, the girl took us to the bar area, where the only one person available there supposed to help us, but maybe cause he was a bit lost or a bit stressed from running around people alone, instead of preparing the bill, he prepared the table for us. That was strange to see in the restaurent of this level, where the experience should be without errors.
Also as the evening was cold, asked for pashmina and the girl said she ll check if any available cause its busy and most of the people using them, but she never came back. Would be nice to be back to customer with the answer even if its no.
I had booked a table for 10 to celebrate my recent promotion and a series of interactions with the staff have rendered our experiece at Sea Fu very poor. After confirming the reservation 10 days in advance, I was called three times to confirm (48h, 24h and 1h prior to the reservation time) and inform the restaurant we are still planning to come, which made the process of actually reserving a table useless - if you are so desperate for customers, don't advertise a reservation policy at all!
We were there on time and a party of 5 joined the table, with 4 friends not joining us 1hr into the meal. We started eating and once we knew our friends were not joining, we informed the waiters (it was 1.5h later and we were at main course stage). One firend joined after we finished the main course and ordered a glass of juice. The waiter proceeded to inform us that his reservation policy was to charge us for 10 as we had confirmed the reservation and they kept 2 tables free, despite the fact that there were at least 4 other tables free and no one waiting at the bar. This was challenged by my husband as we were not willing to pay for that!!
We continued our meal and that was clearly the trigger for service to become very poor, we had to wait for drinks to be replenished despite sitting in the sun/heat for 2h, the food took time to arrive and coffee was served almost 20min after placing the order.
Menu is blind a-la-carte and the food was scarce based on the 3/400AED price tag, although the mojitos was very well prepared. The music is loud (DJ is 5m away) and you need to almost shout for others to hear you.
All in all, we were impressed by the location but the management should review how they select their waiting staff and training should be provided on adequate customer communications. As we were there to celebrate a special occassion, they made sure to ruin it for us for a reason that was beyond our control...
Front Desk/Hostesses were average - a bit abrupt on the phone to confirm the reservation on the day, and also did not have our table ready for our arrival. We were put in the bar section which was not ideal. After a chat to the restaurant supervisor/manager, this was quickly fixed.
Today the problem is the noise of construction at the islands up front and the neon lights...service lacks efficiency, for a gin drinker no up to date presentation, still served in highball...no botanicals....no stirrers, no underlines, gets wet..have to call attention of waiters, they have meetings amongst themselves... a pity because one the construction finished and service is efficient will be romantic place...wine list not exciting and wines too expensive..will come back in one year!!
I chose this restaurant over others to have the xmas lunch. There was no special decoration to that occasion at all in the restaurant nor to the staff unlike other restaurants in the hotel. I selected the set menu which seemed to be "very" pricely though the steak was of a great taste to be honest. Will I chose the restaurant for such special occasions in the future? Most likely not! But will I chose it to grab a glass of beer at night, certainly yes.
The service staff were great and very welcoming.
We had three dishes (Deep-Fry Prawn, Lobster Wonton and Volcano Rolls), and weren't vowed by any of them, especially the Lobster Wonton was quite poor. Ambience, service, location/view and music were all great, but we just didn't like the food and won't come back.
