Overall pleasant experience. Great table and view. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 fish option were no longer on the menu so that was disappointing, however food was good.

A seafront restaurant / hotel with indoor and outdoor eating. A modern, airy and clean restaurant with a seafood menu, well presented food and great puddings! Good service and great value for money. Worth a visit if you are in Aldeburgh.

Fantastic, calming, sea view with excellent food and attentive staff. A good place for meeting friends and escaping the rush of daily life.

We booked to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary as we both love Seafood and our usual restaurant we go to had recently closed. We were so pleased that we did choose the Brudenell as the food as amazing and we will definitely book again in the future.

Our main course took nearly 2 hours to arrive. To constantly use the excuse of “we are very busy” is so poor. There were not enough staff waiting on tables for a hot bank holiday weekend and clearly not enough staff in the kitchens to cater for the constant flow of visitors. Of course it was going to be busy overlooking the sea on a sunny day. The food was good when it arrived but we won’t rush back because the service was so abysmal.

We pre-booked for a bank holiday weekend lunch for two. All tables have excellent views of the sea, and we have been a couple of times before in the past 5 years.
The waiter was efficient and friendly, a little bit too fast - but I would never complain about that! (but our plates were whisked away whilst eating our last mouthful).
I went for a whole lobster, and whilst it was gorgeous and plenty of meat, for £41 with just a few chips for accompaniment (not rosemary chips as listed?), the plate could have been a bit more imaginative and generous with a bit of salad/veg.
My only criticism is that it's all looking a little tired and in need of a refurb.

Really enjoyed my lunch at the Seafood Grill. Really fresh and tasty oysters (some of the best I have had). Friendly service and lovely location overlooking the sea.

I have been coming to this hotel for 40 years. It has changed hands a few times.
But the latest change is for the worst.
In November Hungarians took it over. The ambiance/atmosphere has vanished.
It was like being served by robots 🤖. No laughs, jokes very cold people.
Will never go back.
Shame as it was a great place to dine on the seafront.

We pre-booked for a Sunday lunch as a couple, having eaten here previously. We didn't want a Roast dinner, so was very satisfied with the meal , service and ambiance. The only downside was - the cost!!!

A hotel restaurant that is possibly trying a bit too hard to be 'high end' in a rather functional dining room. However, the food (and that I guess should be the main thing) was well cooked, presented in fine manner and was very tasty. Indeed, if had not been for the very good meal I had (oysters followed by lobster) this review might have been rather more critical.

The oysters were delicious and the sea bass was very tasty. The butter beans under the sea bass were a revelation. And the #quid added an unusual texture. Best meal for a long time. Thank you!

Great service and excellent food, however the outside of the hotel didn’t look that inviting on a wet February afternoon. However once inside we loved it

Overall we enjoyed our evening. It is a lovely setting with a lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the barman was extremely helpful. Unfortunately far too many members of staff asked us if our food was ok, twice before we’d even taken a bite. Most of the food was good but my fish was under cooked. My husband had the Hake special and the cheese board which were both very small portions.

This was are first visit to The Brudenell for a number of years and we were extremely pleased
with our lunch, The dining room was of a high standard without being to formal, all the staff were attentive and efficient , we had the set lunch was which was of a high standard and reasonably priced. We were celebrating a birthday so the treat at the end of our meal was a nice surprise. WE will definitely return in the new year.

Extremely disappointed with the food. My father said the sole was enjoyable, but they forgot to bring his potatoes. . My husbands cod did not seem fresh, and my Thai vegetable curry was awful. There was confusion by the staff when ordering pre dinner drinks.
We did notice the the dining chairs ( speaker bars) were very dirty.
Overall, for the best situated restaurant in Aldeburgh, very disappointing.

Great view; staff very attentive but not overly so. A little quiet to start with but picked up. Food beautifully prepared and fish incredibly fresh. Fixed price menu could do with an additional option for all courses .

Disappointing meal after driving out from Norwich. My half- lobster was fine, though very small, but my wife's pork loin was very fatty and unenjoyable. She mentioned this to out waitress who said "i'll tell the Chef" but no apology and no recompense. As a result I chose not to leave my usual generous tip! Won't rush back, though we have enjoyed nice meals there in the past. At £71 for a light lunch for two including a glass of wine and pudding each it was not particularly good value. Felt envious of those eating fish and chips sitting on the sea wall - could have saved £50 at least and probably enjoyed it more!

The food was good if a little pricey (£16 for fish and chips)
On this occasion, the service was poor. Wrong water, side order did not arrive with main course and I had to get up and ask for it, wrong main course ! At other times it has been better but on this occasion they were inattentive.

We had a good choice of fish dishes and the service could not have been faulted
The price was reasonable but not for the people looking for a "cheap" lunch
We would recommend it to anyone looking for a good choice if fish dishes.

We had a meal here to celebrate my birthday following a review we had read in a newspaper which said that the hotel and restaurant were family friendly. We also love seafood which was another big draw. We were not disappointed and agree that the restaurant staff were very friendly and understanding of our 2 year olds needs! The food was very good and the menu had a number of seafood choices. We particularly enjoyed the seafood bisque, crab cakes, hake and lobster. The ambience of the restaurant was calm and relaxing and we enjoyed our meal and time there. We would definitely return.
