Super fresh fish, big portions!
Excellent fish, good value in Victoria, very friendly service.
Well they didn't have my booking which was a bad start, and seemed a bit phased that I was alone - had to wait ages for my order to be taken. But the food was brilliant.
The fish was fresh, very good and well cooked. I'll surely recommend Seafresh restaurant to my friends.
The chicken was tender, but not very warm and the lobster was quite chewy. The staff was very friendly though.
It was good, we were close to the area and we took a look in TripAdvisor and we found good critics here. It was quite good, there are some recommendations which we followed and they were quite tasty so i would repeat
Good evening meal
Super friendly staff. Very accommodating. Nice fish and chips. Large portions.
Fish was excellent quality. Scampi was proper langoustines. Chips tremendous. And service was friendly & helpful.
I had a family dinner at SeaFresh which I really enjoyed. Food was great, with many traditional and contemporary dishes. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly. Would definitely go again.
So much more than a fish & chips!! We order lobster with butter and it was delicious.. The salmon was crunchy and tender on the inside.. The octopus' salad was very tasty.. Tha lobster pasta had a vegetable that doesn't go too well with the sweet taste of the lobster but that's a detail.. Overall a good fish dinner experience! 😊
It was very god. I had the fish and Chips (Schellfisch).
GREAT ! I would come back, if i am once more in London.
And thanks to the loveley waiter from thursday :-)
We go to Seafresh regularly and always have a great meal. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming to everyone! I request steamed or poached fish with non-dairy mash potatoes and it's always cooked beautifully. My husband and son enjoy the large cod and chips plus a gherkin and sometimes mushy peas. The desserts are really good too but if you're full up a sorbet or fruit salad are a great light alternative.
We thoroughly recommend this restaurant!
Don't be fooled by the attached fish & chips shop, this is very fresh fish, served well (not fancy but perfectly respectable) with great service.
Have been a regular customer for many years .The focus is on super fresh fish and the enormous sea bream that we had on our visit this week was well up to standard.A splendid anti dote to the often pretentious eateries that litter central London with a good selection of fishy delights along with cheerful attentive service.
Food was expensive for what it is. Was really disappointed that the service charge doesn't go to the staff. Take it off your bill and leave cash if you eat here. Staff were very pleasant!
Sea fresh has been in business for quite a while and the reason is obvious: the fish really is fresh and the service efficient and very pleasant. One of the best fish and chips you'll ever eat. Highly recommended.
Cute cafe/restaurant, very attentive and friendly staff, high quality fresh seafood, perfect for pre/post theatre food, would definitely recommend
We had the set menu which was great value for money, fish and chips plus pudding and tea/coffee. Service was friendly and quick. We will be back.
Our Seafresh dining experience was very good. Our waiter was delightful, the fish & chips yummy and the price good. Just what we wanted.
Excellent quality food, we had sea bream fillets and prawns. Oysters as appetisers were fantastic. The fish soup did not look very appealing but was very tasty and full of good chunks. No room for dessert. Service was very attentive and helpful. Definitively a place to go back for a relaxed good quality fish lunch.
I was expecting more and was surprised that this is a restaurant directly attached to a take away fish and chip shop. Quite average and not much ambiance my wife's starter was very salty and she could not eat it.
I will admit that the main course fish was fresh but nothing else about this restaurant impressed us
Overall very disappointing they even added a service charge even though this is a fish and chip shop.I'm not against tipping but a compulsory service charge in what's not much more than a fish and chip shop!
Overall very disappointed
We had a lovely lunch here before going to the theatre. It was a clean restaurant, the service was excellent and the fish and chips were the best i've had. Lovely big fresh piece of cod with just the right amount of batter.
Would definitely recommend.
The traditional fish and chips are fantastic! I prefer the steamed sea bass or poached salmon with a salad or mashed potato which are delicious! There are excellent starters and puddings available too.
We go to Seafresh regularly both for the food and really friendly staff.
A quirky place with neither the lighting, furniture or ambiance to suggest anything special - the surprise is really the fish. It couldn't be fresher, the batter paper thin and crispy and surely the best fish and chips in town.
Try the crispy calamari or battered whitebait for starters - absolutely divine and one of the many options for fish as mains, or even the grilled prawns. The seafood salad looks tempting too. Chunky chips and different choices of peas or The mixed salad is ok as a side, but the green salad is a literal interpretation of things green (including avocado, pickled green chillies, green olives, cucumbers and lettuce) - but then this is a fish restaurant and that is what they have turned into an art form! Forget soggy chips and fish where there is more batter than fish - this place knows how to do it properly.
This small place has a separate take-out section next door, and the restaurant part seems an addition to it. The quality of our dinner was very good, shared an appetizer of fried calamari which were tender and tasteful, then went for grilled salmon and fried haddock, both very good and well cooked; also the chips were crunchy and not oily. Service was fast and friendly. Beer was available in cans or bottles only. Bottom line: if I look for a nice evening with some atmosphere, good food and draft beer, I go to one of the many pubs around Victoria where I experienced good-enough fish-and-chips for the same price I spent here, for take-out or a fast dinner focused only of the fish I would go back here.
This is a great fish restaurant. Completely unpretentious. It simply gives you excellent food and brilliant, friendly service. The fish we had was perfectly cooked and it's such good value for money.
We think this one of the best, if not the best, fish restaurant in London. Whether yo require the fish fried, steamed, grilled etc, it's always beautifully cooked. Highly recommended.
I had booked a table on the 10th April for 20th May. I knew it would be busy as it was Chelsea Flower Show week. When we arrived at the restaurant they had NO knowledge of our booking. Fortunately I was able to show them the confirmation email and the reminder ! They had to quickly rearrange tables to fit us in ! This completely spoilt my evening and in future I will book directly with the restaurant ! Very disappointed and disillussioned
We have eaten at this restaurant on several ocassions and the people and place and food are to be commended
Fish was cooked just right! It was flaky and tender. Best fish and chips on our trip!
I was in London on a business trip two years ago and me and found this gem by chance. I was impressed !!! Returned to London at the end of January, 2014 and pre-booked it for a Saturday night.
The fish (plaice, cod, haddock, skate, Dover sole, salmon etc) & seafood (scallops, mussels, scampi, calamari etc) is sourced daily and mainly from England and Scotland. The fish cakes and seafood soup are excellent. Grilled options are available, which for me was great. Reasonably priced beer, wine and spirits.
The servers are helpful and very attentive. The service combined with excellent food makes for an excellent experience.
I will be back in London on a frequent basis and I will definitely be dining at the SeaFresh each time I visit.
We have now visited Seafresh a number of times and have never been disappointed.
I know the venue is hardly luxurious, but the food is excellent and the service good. You can rely upon Seafresh to serve you excellent fresh fish and the portions are enormous, so it remains really good value for money.
The menu has a modest range but it is basically a very good fish & chip shop. Fish was excellent & so obviously fresh. staff were both friendly & helpful with our choice. The place was very buzzy with clearly everybody enjoying themselves..
Thoroughly recommended for quick, excellent meal ~ this is simply fast food at its very best. Well done SeaFresh.
Excellent fish, chips. mushy peas, tea and bread and butter for a pre theatre meal. Food was very hot and tasty. Our waitress went out of her way to help us. Did not expect fish and chips of this quality in the centre of London. Very convenient for Victoria Palace and Apollo theatres.
The food was great, we all went for fish and chips (cod, haddock and plaice) and we all agreed the fish was fresh soft texture, flesh falling apart with the touch of the fork and flavour) and the batter was something of a master workmanship: thin like paper and crisp. One of my friends at the dinner is from Portugal (and quite knowledgable when it comes to fish) and she approved the freshness of the haddock. Thumps up for Seafresh. I know where to go again when treating visitors to a Friday fish and chips.
We have now been to Seafresh several times. The Fish and Chips are provided in large portions and perfectly cooked. The wine is good and not unreasonably priced. A disappointment this time was that Sea Bream was on the menu but not available. The food prices are on the high side but the quality has been reliably good.
Everything from cod & chips to grilled dover sole, though at prices somewhat higher than you might expect given the location and ambience. You'd be struggling to find better fish, though.
We went to Seafresh with the family of 9 persons to celebrate a birthday. The meals, mainly consisting of fish plates were of excellent quality ...and fresh. We had ordered a special birtday cake, which was kindly served with nice candles having the shape of champaign bottles. The service was quick and extremely caring. We all enjoyed to be there.
Having read the reviews I was looking forward to eating good quality fresh fish. The staff were friendly and efficient. The offer of fish and dessert as advertised on TopTable was not the same on arriving at the restaurant, ie. they only did a different special offer with ice cream and no other dessert options. I therefore chose fresh salmon fishcakes from the special menu instead - when it arrived it was one very large fishcake and I've eaten much better ones in my time. My friend had grilled fish rather than battered which attracted an additional charge and we thought it was overpriced. She chose apple pie for dessert which was a bit soggy and not warmed through properly. All in all a bit disappointing.
Good value and great if you like fish and chips. Next door to the fish and chip shop so all really fresh
