Great atmosphere and service! One of our favorite locations to eat in Dallas.
Always great food service and ambiance - always recommend to anyone looking to celebrate and event or a night out on the town.
Restaurant has great food but three were off this time. Chicken was dry and couldn’t taste marinade. Kobe short rib more akin to pot roast. Love this place and will be back. Also looking forward to trying grilled artichokes which are a new item.
I've always had consistently good food at Sevy's, but it seems like they changed the chef. The quality of the food wasn't near what it used to be. The seasoning wasn't good. I spent $55 on a mediocre meal, which is disappointing. I really will reconsider going back.
It was a good experience, the only complain I have is that the chicken penne was a tad bit salty, but everything else is good!
I thought $11 for a cup of soup was a bit steep.
Love Sevy’s and will return.
Food is always great.
Good food and good ambiance! Service was disappointing, however that’s not necessarily reflective of the restaurant.
The waiter was nice but hurried us a bit. Our salad was great, lettuce wedge. We ordered shrimp and grits and barbecue glazed salmon, the entrees were ok. I really didn’t care for the salmon. It just wasn’t what I like. The flourless chocolate torte was wonderful. We always enjoy our visits to Sevys and the food is good but may not always be a favorite.
Throughout the Pandemic, Sevy's has maintained its ambiance, excellent food, and great service.
Girls night out - we had a blast! Service was perfect and food was delicious.
Long time favorite! Great food, friendly service and relaxed but elegant setting. Good place for business meet or date night.
Sevy's is a Dallas icon that has been around for more than 25 years. Neighborhood dining at its best. Worth the Drive Wonderful for birthday or anniversary celebration or just date night. Even has private room for special celebrations. Food is wonderful, service top notch and wonderful wine list.
Great consistent place for lunch or dinner. Recommend highly.
We always love our visits to SEVY’S and really appreciate their extra touches to help us celebrate our anniversary!
First time there and I will be back. Food and service were great.
The service and ambiance are excellent. On this visit, the main courses were somewhat lacking. My wife had the tenderloin filet, and I had the Kobe beef short rib. My wife very much liked the grilled vegetables, but the beef was not very flavorful. My short rib was also not very flavorful, and my roasted poblano cavatapi "mac and cheese" was bland. We have experienced much better food during our past visits, but those were before the pandemic.
I'm giving a "yes" to recommend, but it's really a "neutral"; neither "yes" nor "no" based on this visit.
Lovely restaurant, great food and customer service
After seven years of dining at Sevy’s on many occasions, we can honestly say that we have been 100% satisfied every time. Keep up the great work. You are our favorite go to restaurant in Dallas.
We enjoyed another wonderful evening at Sevy’s. Fantastic service and delicious food. The bar provided icy cold, perfectly prepared martinis. We have never been disappointed in this Dallas institution.
Sevy's chef always produces a very fine plate. Always tasty and fresh. Ambiance is relaxed yet quiet. We love Sevy's for all of these reasons, and continue to return at every opportunity.
The food was amazing and the ambiance was nice. Very romantic and the upper side of casual but not pretentious.
Food and service was great. Special thanks goes out to the host team! Very polite and professional!!
Hits right every time
I love Sevy's except for the noise level which makes conversation difficult. However, food and service are outstanding which is why I continue to eat there.
We have been to Sevy’s many times in the past and everything.was always outstanding. This past Saturday was our first time going since the shutdowns and I have to say that we were disappointed.
The overall ambience has changed. There were diners in cut-off denim shorts and t-shirts, which was not typical in the past. Usual dress has been business casual or better. The restaurant was also much noisier than in the last. Overall it felt like Sevy’s has lost some of the elegant appeal that made this our favorite cozy, romantic, classy, high-end date night place.
I ventured from my go-to entree: the bacon wrapped quail and went with the lobster fettuccine. It was mediocre at best. Pasta was sitting in a ton of water and overall it lacked flavor.
Husbands steak was great and he has no complaints with his entire meal.
Service was great. Our waiter, Travis, was friendly, engaging, and very attentive. I did not complain about my entree simply because I hate doing that if the entree is just “ok” but still edible.
So perhaps this was just an “off” night for Sevy’s? That is what we are hoping. We will give it another chance and hope that it is back to what we have always loved about it!
Striped bass was excellent!!
Sevy's is one of our favorite restaurants to frequent. The food and drink selection is excellent and my wife and I have never had a bad meal. Service is excellent as well as the ambiance. Plus, they take reservations and parking is never a problem. Highly recommend.
My friends and I were treated so well from the start at the bar to the lovely table we enjoyed appetizers and dinner at. The staff were friendly and attentive. No glass was every dry. The food came out perfectly. It was all delicious! We will definitely come back. It was a wonderful dining experience.
Very good American food. Not cheap, but also not overpriced. Will go again for sure.
Excellent local restaurant
Sevy’s Grill is my favorite, and I was not disappointed. I had a special — tenderloin with fusilli in a goat cheese Alfredo sauce. Magical. The atmosphere is upscale, which is important to me, a chance to dress up and not be out of place. Altogether superb.
always consistently outstanding. however, it was a bit noisier than usual yesterday--could have been our table placement.
Great meal and atmosphere. Prompt service and attention to detail. Food was delicious with many great options to choose from. Wine pairing suggestion with the entree were spot-on. Appetizers and drinks from the bar were also very good. I highly recommend Sevy’s.
A neighborhood upscale restaurant providing a comfortable place to dine for over 20 years.
Fancy and recognizable menu. Yummy cocktails and overall a great place to take the (adult) family:
We love sevys but the service was miserable slow.
We had a wonderful time for our anniversary dinner. Server was exceptional, attentive yet not overbearing. Bay of Fundy Salmon was extraordinary. Fried peach pie with peach ice cream was very delightful.
The service was good. The food and drinks were well prepared and reasonably priced. The only complaint I have is that when you eat here often, I wish they offered more choices.
The atmosphere is great inside and is acceptable in their outside setting area.
I highly recommend their fish entrees and their steaks. On Tuesday's and Saturday's, my wife loves the Lobster Bisk.
Our server was wonderful and food delicious
