Excellent food and atmosphere.
What a wonderful restaurant! Went out to dinner for Valentine’s Day and had a great experience here! The service was great, the food was fantastic, we will definitely be back!!
Delicious food and wonderful service. We loved the attention they gave to the spice level. Will be back very soon.
Delicious dinner for my birthday. The server was excellent at recommending different dishes depending on taste. They are also very attentive which makes the meal experience.
This is my local favorite restaurant and we have many to choose from. It never disappoints. Every dish is full of flavor and they always get my spice level right. Delish!
We ate at Shagun this evening and were impressed. The food was good and the service attentive. The pricing is a touch high for the portions, but the quality is there. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Recommended!
Dinner was great and service was impeccable. First time at the restaurant and was not disappointed. Highly recommended.
What a find. Great Food and Great service!! A must for great Indian food!
My fiancé and I went to Shagun on a Saturday evening and we had a wonderful dining experience. We have been multiple times in the past and have held functions there as well. The staff, the food and the atmosphere were amazing as always! There was a Bollywood night going on in their main hall and the music performances, even from afar, made this night even more delightful. The manager was our waiter for the evening and answered all of our questions and helped us choose the most appropriate dishes for our evening out. We love Shagun, and look forward to our next visit in the near future!
It was Christmas Day 2017. Our family was scattered to parts here and there. We went to a movie and ate at this restaurant. It was a very nice experience.
The food was very good. The owner was present and made sure we were happy with our experience. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
Indian Cuisine menu is comprehensive and very traditional would love it if they could stock Indian Beers .
This place was great! The food was amazing and the service was on-point. Food took a little bit but nothing unmanageable. Overall a great spot and I recommend it.
The food was tasty and the owners were extremely kind in letting us try anything we wanted from the buffet, but the restaurant seemed in pretty rough shape. Ceiling tiles were moved exposing the open ceiling and dehumidifiers were out making me think the place recently had a flood.
Sadly this place is declining. Cleanliness in restrooms deplorable. A gasoline powered pressure washer in the hall on the way to the bathrooms
We went to this restaurant 3 times now and we will go back. Food and service have always been excellent.
Both my husband and I thought the food was fantastic. He ordered the Tandoori Chicken and was pleasantly surprised to find it still moist. I had the Chicken Korma and savored every bite.
First timer who will be returning very soon. Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and great staff. Staff very patient with my inquisitive children!
I was disappointed that the chef couldn't make the food less hot (pepper hot) for me. Our server was great though! He tried his hardest to make things right. He even brought me these amazing frozen orange slices that were so great they should be on the menu. The Korma should be mild to begin with but it was so hot even after telling him that I needed it super mild. The fact is when someone says super mild then they probably can't handle peppers like cayenne or hot peppers. I have trouble with the fact that after sending it back they still couldn't make it mild enough. I am hoping that in time they will be able to make a Korma that I can eat. No pepper seems so simple. I have had a mild Korma here once in the past so maybe the chef changed? Either way, the food is great if you can handle the heat!
Food was fantastic. Asked the server for suggestions and he gave us great recommendations. We don't have an Indian restaurant near us so if was definitely worth the drive for us.
Great prices great food loved it
Food is great. Service is OK. The place has no ambiance but is clean. There was very few diners when we were there, which is a shame for such a large dining room.
Easy parking, nice menu. Missing a few "staples" IMO but also had a few things I'd never had before (CH65?!!? Was delicious!) Staff not well versed with regard to menu but very attentive and willing. Food VERY good and overall had a very enjoyable experience. Would have given 5 star for food but they were out of their signature dessert (even though not crowded...) A little polish away from 5 stars all around.
the food was bad! i was the only one at the restaurant at that time but the service was slow! I don't recommend it at all!
This was my first time eating at Shagun and I was very impressed. I have a gluten allergy and the manager came out personally and told me which meals were safe for me. He gave me a complimentary entree so I could taste two gluten free options (and both were delicious!). At the end of the meal (because everyone with a gluten allergy struggles with dessert options) he gave me a complimentary orange sorbet dessert. There were no complaints from us, no prompts at all to make this manager/waiter feel the need to give us any special services. He just generally seemed to care and want to share his food and hospitality. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. I will be visiting again personally next month.
We would travel into Philly to get great Indian food. Now that we discovered shagun- we realize that we have an outstanding place in the local area!
This was our first time at Shagun. When we arrived it was empty but that quickly changed. We ordered an appetizer and two entrées. The everything was excellent. The appetizer was just the right size and the entrees were enough to take home seconds. We will be back.
Outstanding service and food in a charming restaurant. We had Shrimp Korma and Chicken Makhani, long with Naan, after an appetizer of veggie Pakoras. It is a BYOD, so we enjoyed a nice light wine with our meal.
A wonderful find in the NW Philly suburbs. Excellently prepared dishes served in traditional metal pots - stainless not copper. Happy Grover was a well travelled and interesting waiter who did everything right. Can't wait to return to this area in Nov for another great meal.
