Good and tasty food and nice staff. Quick service and overall good experience.
Food was superb - especially the chicken xacuti
Great Indian Food, an exception among the tourist traps around Brick Lane! Authentic and tasty!
Extremely rude staff! Tried to overcharge us on the bill. Pity as the food was nice despite waiting 45 minutes for it.
really enjoyed the meal at sheba. food was great and so was the service. also the after dinner chocolates were the best!
A very tasty meal with great service and a very pleasant atmosphere. I had the fish curry which was excellent and the samosas.
Delicious as always.
Good efficient service. Every dish you could want and very tasty. Cosy casual ambiance and fairly priced. A solid brick lane experience
Great food. Very accommodating as I wanted something from another dish and I didn't even ask the waiter just added it. Well done. Waiter was very helpful. Definitely good curry fresh.
SHEBA was the perfect venue for our 10 person friends' meetup. It was great fun, well air-conditioned, a little noisy (but you'd expect that). Most importantly, the service was excellent and the food, delicious! Best curry in London!
The music was a little
Loud in the background felt like I needed to shout for my
Partner to hear me
Food was amazing though
The food and service was very good, however the value for money not so much - the portions were quite small for the price you pay for a main dish.
Messed up our party booking - even though I checked in earlier in the evening in person to make sure our table would be ready. Was guaranteed a table upstairs but they tried to put us downstairs on arrival. Bit embarrassing in front of my colleagues! However after a 20 minute wait and a few beers (not free) they reallocated us. After that food and drink was better than good and it is a great place for a cheap and cheerful Christmas bash.
Foods was amazing and one of the best Indian restaurant I found in London. The taste of the chicken was not my favourite, but the korma sauce that came with it was fantastic. The service was a bit slow, but overall it has been a great food experience and I will come back soon for sure. Highly recommended it
Service was good, food was nice. Different than the Indian food we get at home so a nice change
Small portions. Average dry nan and rice. They make you pay 5£ for the popodom upon arrival as a "welcome" 43£ for two small Indian meals. No thanks!
Very good local restaurant. The foods were very well prepared. Impressed with the variety of menu offerings.
Litmus test of a good Indian is taste or feeling bloated
Very bloated walking down the street
Gunpowder ( just down the road) is worth the wait outside
I was tasked by one of my senior colleagues to book a restaurant on Brick Lane for a work dinner. I did some research online and discovered that Sheba regularly featured as one of the best restaurants on Brick Lane so figured I'd go with that.
The staff at Sheba were very accommodating to all of our requests and very attentive. I felt that we were looked after very well despite being a relatively large group.
I was pleasantly surprised that the manager offered a discretionary 20% off our food bill as my colleagues and I all work for the NHS!
Food was really good but the overall experience not great. There was no ambience and the tables were packed way too close together. We had to ask other diners to move their tables so that we could get in and out.
Didn't help that there were a loud bunch of lads at one table who ruined it for everyone else.
I've been here a couple of times now and every time it doesn't disappoint. My fiancé asked one of the waiters advice over a dish and he was passionate and detailed in his response. What she finally ordered was exactly what she was after. I ordered a Chicken Jalfrezi but wanted a little more heat than usual and they got it spot on.
The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Would certainly recommend this to anyone.
Booked for a business lunch as I thought it would be busy on last Friday of the month.
We were the only 3 customers ! So this recession must be biting deep.
Was worried food might not be up to scratch but it turned out to be fine and the staff
helpful and pleasant did not bother asking for the meal deal as was very pleased and customer
went off piste on the menu and said it wass amazing.
Only annoyance was cab booked by restaurant to take us back to Waterloo was £23.00 !
it was only £12.00 in a black cab to get there.
We always go back to Sheba - there's space for a group of 10, the curry's tasty, the staff are attentive and the value is always fantastic - this time we had 50% off our food bill. You leave stuffed full of good food and still have money in your pocket. Definitely recommended!
Food was very good and people were lovely. The ambience and decoration were a bit bizarre but other than that it was good!
Good efficient service, good quality curries, without any pretensions. Great for groups, and we'd had a good few pints and the waiters were nice and polite. I'd always recommend booking somewhere before going to Brick Lane - every restaurant shouts at you which can be unnerving.
I booked a table for 8 people to eat on Friday night which was great as you get a 20% discount if you book online. We kept adding people to the booking and the restaurant were very flexible about this which was great. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Good location in centre of brick lane, and great value - around £20 per head with drinks. They were also able to book us taxis when we left. Only criticism is they could have come to the table to take more drinks/ food orders as we kept having to call them over. Overall would definitely recommend.
I et some friends on Saturday for lunch in Sheba, Brck Lane. Food was fine and service good. Had eaten here a few times before, so will go back.
Alright food, busy environment. One of many in brick lane, nothing special.
We four dined on 4th June. Price was reasoble and food had good value. But at the time of paying bill by visa debit card, waiter asked me twice to type pin number because he said system did not work well. Later on,I found GBP 113.75 on 5 July twice on my statement. I contacted Sheba Restaurant and they agreed to pay back because it is obviously mistake, I also told them my account nu,ber and sort cord.
But no action has been taken, I contacted them by e-mail and replyed `yes will do` but never happen even on 3 Aug..
I believe it was a mistake but ,if do, why do they forward process of payng back?? price was reasonable but I paid double price now, what I want is to pay back the money you take wrongly..
Sheba Brick Lane, good service, friendly staff and food was good value.I enjoyed the lunchtime special of the day
A friend was visiting from the states and when I suggested going for a curry he was pleased. And we weren't disappointed - tasty food, relaxed surroundings. I will be back when I get another opportunity.
Excellent food, great service. no hassle from the staff, very clean. Only slight is that we were disturbed by the overly loud dining parties sat behind, and next to us who didn't have any consideration for other diners, even though it was still relatively early on in the evening.
It was so nice and even enjoy the curry too loool but was over ram packed though and I guess it was due to the bank holiday with the local families in there too and even our food was top ten.
Food tasty, but portions rather small for the price charged, Booked for the 25%
deal, had to remind staff as discount was not deducted from bill. Rather quiet
for a Friday night, no ambience as we were seated on our own downstairs.
Great food everything tasted fresh, great service - servers were helpful and happy to provide recommendations. Would definitely go back.
Great food, great service!
They did not have our booking for some strange reason. So they first said we could not have the points redemption, which is of course annoying having to argue for it. So in the end they agreed. Also the redemption was only from a seperate menue.
The food was fine but in the end I have eaten already for less cash better quality. So in the end the experience was nothing special really.
Good food but the service was so so. Quite typical Indian restaurant
Huge amount of dishes to choose from but we went for the waiters recommendation. The food was delicious especially the spicy lamb with pumpkin and onion bhajis. Service was good and it was really vibrant and busy. Sheba was a good place for a great curry.
