We stayed over and so ate both dinner and breakfast. For dinner, I had mushrooms on sourdough. Not just regular mushrooms - enoki and porcini, so very tasty. Sourdough was excellent too, as was the sauce. My mother had the fish and chips - not one of those massive servings you can get, but just the right amount and again of high quality. I tried the chips, minted peas and tartare sauce and all were delicious. Then there was pudding - the Mytton Mess (a take on Eton Mess). If you like berries and sour cherries, this is the pudding for you! So good! Breakfast was also fantastic - I had eggs Florentine and the poached eggs were perfect. Mum tailored her request from the full English and ate the lot, so can only conclude that she enjoyed it too! Staff were lovely and helpful too. Only (tiny) complaint is that the dining room echoed, so on a quiet evening you could hear other conversations! Altogether a fantastic experience though! MoreOpenTable Diner -
We liked the "new to us" menu and thought food well served. Particularly good marks for the whitebait and smoked salmon profiteroles. Waiting staff all a pleasure to deal with: really good ambassadors for The Baron. Look forward to our next opportunity to be there. MoreOpenTable Diner -
