The space is as appetising as the menu. Situated on the third floor of the hotel, Sika's dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass walls take full advantage of the pyramidal Sugar Loaf Mountain. While on the Terrace, al fresco dining is offered all year around under retractable awnings, comfortably warmed by braziers.
Food was fantastic and service was great. A meal to remember.
Terribly over cooked yet cold food. Service was slow and somnolent.
Wine selection was extremely limited with nothing outstanding beyond a low price range selection.

Food was good apart from a medium steak. Charred on the outside, nice pink on the inside...no flavor, no juice. Didn’t eat it.
Told our waitress about it and she said she would send over the maitre d’ But no sign and no one to talk too as we left.
Mentioned it to the reception at check out, didn’t bother her, more poor 5star service. Local pub in Enniskerry did a superb lunch so I highly recommend that for dinner too.

food was nice and tasty. However, this was supposed to be a nice quiet birthday evening and a celebration in a high class restaurant, which it wasn't.
Taking my partner's empty plate while i was still eating, group of very a young staff chatting next to our table which was unfortunately located near their training section and cashier, not having that 5* attitude and education yet when serving food... and a very noisy restaurant (which nobody could avoid that, I understand that) just left a very dissapointing feeling with us. I am not posh but experienced much better service and atmosphere.
One more detail, during Sunday breakfast we got a piece of toast which had a quite noticeble mould on it. When pointed it to a very young waitress, she took it away with not very bothered attitude and brought us a new plate of toasts with words "sorry about that" and left. I want to say it can happen (mouldy toast) but I just can't justify it in 5* hotel.
No salt on the table is fine as long as the food is properly seasoned. In this case, the fish was underseasoned and the skin was not crisp. We were also ignored by the wait staff while they worked to clear tables for breakfast. We were not asked if we wanted coffee at the end of our meal, and our wine glasses were left empty for 15-20 min during the meal, and we had no access to pour ourselves as the wine was taken away to chill in a shared wine bucket away from the table. Overall, poor service.

on the webside sample menu was venison which is rather special but in real menu was just steak

Both the food and the service were very good, along with the wine choices for dinner. Would not have an issue recommending the restaurant to anybody.

The prices have increased considerably and the quality of food has decreased considerably. The beef was dry and had clearly been sitting under lights for some time as were the potatoes. Not acceptable for the prices being charged which are on par with some excellent rated restaurants. Having eaten here a number of times we won’t be returning

Went for our wedding anniversary and brought our toddler. Kid friendly, good service and delicious food! Slow to bring the check at the end of the meal after asking for it twice which is hard with a sleepy kid but otherwise great night!
We really enjoyed our stay at Powerscourt and our meal at Sika. The food and the ambiance were really relaxing. We had a couple of minor issues with the service where we had to ask for water, bread and our bill several times but apart from that it was perfect.
We opted for the set menu which was not only presented extremely well and in a refined way, but the flavours were even better.

Delicious food with a great variety of choices. Some really interesting and unique dishes to choose from with prompt service. Great spot to unwind after a day of exploring Powerscourt
Food, service & ambience were amazing. Selection of dishes meant everyone was catered for. Would highly recomend.
Food very good but we felt a little overpriced. Service was poor. Asked if we were ready to order 30 seconds after we were seated. Waiter forgot we ordered wine. Wine then arrived after starters. Constantly had to ask for wine refills as bottle was in ice away from table. Coffee and petit fours served before dessert. Staff need more training.
All was perfect: decor, food, vibe, waiting staff. The only issue was the duty manager who told us we should leave by certain time. I did not get it as the restaurant wasn't full at all. Also the way she said that wasn't very diplomatic and this was the issue.
Despite that I'm planning to visit the place again. Hopefully a different manager will be on duty on that day.
Poor food for quite a high price. No ambience. This lovely hotel really needs to improve its restaurant offerings we dined in pub there last visit and it was awful

Very enjoyable meal at Sika. On the occasion we were there food was very good and service as you would expect in a restaurant of this standard. In the 'left' wing of the restaurant the lighting is too harsh. Intimate tables for two have strong spotlights overhead which will drill into your eyes over the course of the evening. This is something we have raised previously and we noticed another couple trying to move table to escape the lighting. It needs to be softened.
Service was absolutely shocking. We did not get drinks which were ordered before our food order was placed until just before our main course. The initial excuse from the waitress was that our drinks had to come from the upstairs bar....which was not credible when the second round was capable of coming from the restaurant bar....the second round of drinks took an equally inordinate amount of time to arrive. Overall a very disappointing experience. We won’t be going again.
I don’t like a steak cut into 2 pieces. Duck starter was poor and bread needs to be better with oil dips. Best was desert. The vibe needs to be more relaxed and fun

Must create better atmosphere!!..perhaps new furnishings to connect with sugar loaf!!...feels like it is in a different hotel as the rest is fantastic...food is nice but overpriced for what it is...needs energy and comfort levels raised....white linen, comfortable luxury seating, and appropriate audio must be put in place!
Service was excellent.
Quality of food was poor specifically the Halibut; first time ever I’ve left fish on my plate. Was concerned about the freshness of it and the ‘fishy’ taste. Desserts were more style over substance; trying to hard to be different/look good and again sacrificing flavours.
Not worth the money.
We stayed at hotel and everything but food was excellent (nice setting, service, staff and wine selection)menu was well designed but badly executed, food was a letdown, duck breast to start was a bit under with no crispy skin, pea puree/emulsion for halibut was grey rather than green(To much heat for too long), venison was just under well-done but ordered medium... restaurant was almost full at this stage and we didn't want to complain as this would only delay everything..
There was 8 staff including managers in dining room, they were doing really good job at FOH but clearly BOH couldn't keep up..
I would give it another go as overall experience was very good.

My husband and I are vegetarians so we shared only two starters and main course vegetarian dishes on menu. We did enjoy them but think they were way overpriced. There was a set menu of three courses for €65 each. Probably better value but still expensive for meat eaters but not good for us. We shared one dessert which was okay.
