This was my first visit to the Silver Trumpet. I read the reviews and checked the menu prior to making reservations. The menu looked good, the reviews were positive and the cocktail menu was intriguing. Unfortunately, the food was just ok, the only cocktails available were mimosa and Bloody Mary (our reservations were on a Sunday at noon). The restaurant was empty. Only one other person came in while we were there. While the restaurant is pretty, it felt eerie. The whole experience was odd. Obviously there was not a bartender on staff. It took a long time to get our order and when it finally arrived the side of sausage was missing. After approx 15 minutes the sausage was brought to our table with an apology and an explanation that it took so long because they had to cook it. Made me question who was cooking and where were they? The other thing that struck me as odd was the restaurant requires a credit card to make reservations. Their policy states that they will impose a $50 per person charge if you cancel your reservation within 48 hours or are a no show for your reserved time. I might understand a charge if you are a no show but canceling within 48 hours seems excessive. I do want to add the prices are extremely reasonable and all the staff (who far outnumbered the customers) were very friendly and polite. Maybe the Silver Trumpet isn’t a lunch time restaurant. Doubt I will try this place again.

Beautiful dining experience. Was a special birthday occasion and we were seated on the patio which overlooks the lake and landscape. Sunday brunch was delicious which was echoed by all 6 in our party. Our server Jorge was a pleasure and was very responsive to any requests we made. Will definitely return to the Silver Trumpet Restaurant and Bar!

Ordered octopus. Unedible. Very rubbery. Sent it back. Got ahi poke instead. Very good. Was not charged for the octopus. Good thing since their food is very expensive.

The menu was perfect. Lots of choices for a range of appetites. Poke was fresh and definitely enough to share! The patio was a nice choice on a pleasant evening. Outstanding, attentive service by all the staff. Bonus was comped parking for the theater making it a short walk!!

We celebrated an anniversary with dinner and were delighted with the new additions to the menu. The scallops were excellent with the addition of black garlic and risotto. Seafood pasta was a very generous serving and cooked perfectly. Service was great and we were surprised it was an unusually slow evening but enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The manager stopped by to make sure our evening was going well and recognized our anniversary. The location in the Theater district and Segrestrom Center make this an ideal location for dinner.

Such a fun evening last night and thrilled to see the cocktails developed for the Broadway show, Peter Pan. They were so cute: a Crocktail mocktail and “Clap for Tink” cocktail! Bravo to Rebecca, James and Jessica. My guests really enjoyed the evening. Kudos to the chef for a brilliant lobster bisque in addition to outstanding entrées!

We have eaten at the Silver Trumpet several times when seeing a show at Segerstrom Center. The theater is across the street. The outdoor area is particularly lovely, but the indoor dining is also quite pleasant. A large added bonus is they will validate our parking so we can attend shows without moving the car and paying for parking. Makes going to the theater an even special experience!
