Sir Winston's Aboard The Queen Mary
Romantic, old school service, delicious, lovely view.
I'm not sure I had a man named David that was our server and he served us food with a hair and when we showed him he didn't have anything to say my husband is bald my daughter is a red head and my hair is brown we had a short black hair in our food very gross we didn't even get the food replaced very disappointed I paid so much for nothing good
Absolutely love it. For my husband birthday and he was happy with everything. Thank you for making it special
Perfect spot for a special occasion such as a wedding anniversary
This is a pricey restaurant but worth the price. We had the filet and lobster special and it was really good. The lobster was huge and very tender. Both melted in your mouth. I would highly recommend.
While staying at the Queen Mary we had our anniversary dinner at Sir Winston's. Elegance from the past dining room with friendly attentive service. After our wine service they brought warm French roll and amazing wheat raisin bread, we had to have a second helping. Next to clear the palate a small scoop of Champagne sorbet. Our entree was Beef Wellington and we wanted only a salad with it. The Beef Wellington just heavenly melted in our mount, so so tender cooked perfectly medium rare. We didn't feel like having a starch or a vegetable and the salad was perfect. They gave us a wonderful dessert followed with 2 chocolate covered strawberries. There is a pleasant view of the harbor. This is a great restaurant and a great special occasion restaurant.
Sir Winston's is always a top choice for celebrating a special event. I had my 50th birthday there years ago and the quality continues today as we celebrated yet another birthday. I cannot say enough good words about the superb wait staff and the excellence of the food!
Eating at this restaurant was an amazing experience. Definitely a 5 star dining rating. From the moment we were greeted, to the complimentary dessert and chocolate covered strawberries at the end for our wedding anniversary, we don't have the words. Personally, this not only was one of the best meals I had in a fine dining establishment, but the attentiveness of the staff and non-rushed dining experience, made this a wonderful evening for my Wife and I! Thank you Sir Winston's for the wonderful evening!
Sir Winston's still remains one of the most enjoyable restaurants for a quiet elegant meal in the South Bay. Food is well prepared and service is excellent. Portions are large, but the price is relatively high for restaurants in the area, but worth it for that special occasion. Unfortunately the Queen Mary continues to deteriorate and look run down. Not a good sign for a ship, even if it does not go to sea anymore. Sir Winston's still has a special ambiance and once inside the restaurant it is possible to forget what you had to walk through on the ship to get there. An enjoyable restaurant.
Fourth of July dinner and fireworks
Good food and service. Nice show
Once in a life time treat. Drove in from Florida. It was worth the trip.
Lovely food, fab cocktails but very expensive. The meal cost twice the price of the room and we only had main courses and 1 desert.
Absolutely lovely experience. Great food, amazing service, wonderful ambiance. 10/10 would recommend.
When I booked - I made a point of stating that this was a special wedding anniversary celebration. I reminded the young lady when we arrived but it seems despite no more than 8 tables of diners, this was ignored! We had flown into LA from the UK to celebrate with my friends, their 20th Wedding and yet the setting lacked any atmosphere , service was swift but indifferent and although the food was delicious but the overall experience left us feeling very disappointed. Dress code in bar and dining room was very relaxed and the final experience- my wife dropped her scalf on route from bathroom to observation bar - yet noever seen again ,having been to lost and found. I feel underwhelmed to recommend this dining experience but the Queen Mary was a lovely sight - originating from Southampton- our home city in UK.
The only thing that was tasty was the steak and the lamb. The items that came with it or before, were "red robin" quality. The cesar salad tasting like nothing but lemon dressing on 5 leaves, the brocolini was soggy and had no flavor and they left the leaves on, so it tasted like swiss chard. We couldn't eat gluten so we opted for a bowl of berries, and charged us $12 for old berries (even mastros only charges us $5). The TarTar also just tasted like lemon. The food was definitely not the reason to go there, but i kind of expected it since eating on the queen mary is more for ambiance then the food, or i should say, it is all about "where you are" not "what you are eating". Go for the ambiance, but eat before, it was definitely the worse $250 meal i have ever had. And that was $250 for 2 people and we each had 1 martini.
Excellent service! Relaxing and elegant enviorment. Very tasty vegetarian dish.
1st class restaurant with 1st class treatment and service. Well done! Beef Wellington, Lobster Bisque, salmon charcuterie, anniversary cake and strawberries...all excellent.
They tried to give us a table in a corner, claustrophobic, dark place. Thankfully, after requesting another table, we were seated in a more suitable place, still not what we asked for.
The service we received by Benjamin, our server, was a plus and made our dinner a great experience!!
28th Wedding Anniversary dinner.
Service and food was amazing!
Our first time dining at Sir Winton's and it won't be the last! The food was delicious and the service outstanding! Other than the clam appetizer being too small, everything was delicious and tasty and our waiter (sorry, can't remember his name, tall/Hispanic) was excellent. The seafood and pasta was cooked perfectly and the dressing on the salad was perfect! The chocolate molten dessert wasn't molten :( but it was delicious!!! Thank you for a wonderful dinning experience aboard the beautiful Queen Mary!
We enjoyed an outstanding anniversary meal at Sir Winston's. The service was attentive, friendly and polite. Our meals were delicious and beautiful. We each ordered a cocktail that was strong and delicious. Our waiter even brought us a complimentary slice of cake for our anniversary. Our only complaint was that two different sources of music could be heard from our table. We were seated in the dining room so we were entertained by the big band music playing from the dining room. We could also hear the lounge's piano music sing along from our seats. This proved a little distracting at times. This is the reason I gave the ambience a low rating. Overall though a brilliant experience.
My stuffed shrimp dish was not fresh and tasted very fishy so I sent it back.
Pre anniversary dinner! Great food and service! Amazing view too!
The food was so amazing, I would definitely come back here again for another meal. The Caesar salad was one of the best salads I've ever had.
We loved the exceptional menu, service and ambiance of this restaurant. The view was also nice overlooking the ship deck.
The atmosphere, service and food was wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for an enjoyable meal.
We were made to feel so special. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!
Food was acceptable but exp
The ambiance was nice...we sat next to a window overlooking the harbor and Long Beach. Our waiter was friendly and kept our glasses full. The food was delicious. If I had one complaint it would be the Oysters Rockefeller were a tad salty. The filet mignon medallions were cooked to perfection. My husband drooled over his rack of lamb. Said it was the best he'd eaten. We had sides of creamed corn which was amazing, and mashed potatoes. A well spent 46th anniversary! Thanks for the memories!
Beautiful. The prices are a little high but you are paying for ambiance. Frankly, the food should be better for $50 entrees.
We went to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The dinner, the view and service was AMAZING! Can’t wait to go back.
It is a fun experience to dine on the ship, but the food is nothing special, and kind of expensive for what you get. Only one side of the restaurant has a view—the other faces the parking garage. If you are looking for something for a special night, try 555, or Parkers Lighthouse if you need an ocean view.
Wonderful food and staff, the service was superb, the ambience was romantic
The food was unbelievably fabulous I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone
Great ambiance, views and service but the food is not great and for the prices charged I expect better.
The food was fantastic and our server, Benjamin, was wonderful. The martinis were great too.
Excellent service, Food Outstanding!
Last minute reservation, thought I’d show love to my hometown Long Beach. Beautiful absolutely beautiful restaurant. Breathtaking view and once in a lifetime dining experience.
The Queen Mary was beautiful and the restaurant was classic and beautiful, everything there including the service was beyond superb. I’m definitely returning!!!! As the prices was average and exceptional. Compliments to the chefs!!!!!
