Sir Winston's Aboard The Queen Mary
For the complete experience, arrive early, make your way down to the lounge for some glamorous history, classic piano music and ask for a “passionate affair”.
For dinner, We recommend the Chateaubriand with a bottle of Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon Napa.
A must do in long Beach..
We had the unfortunate pleasure of sitting near a very rowdy party with a couple of particular drunks at it that ruined the experience a little bit but the food and the service was excellent
There were three of us for dinner. The service is very good and the ambience wonderful. The food was fine, if unimaginatively prepared. Prices are very high.
The service from David was fantastic. He prepared the Caesar salad and dressing in front of Us and it was delicious. Great experience.
A wonderful meal on an amazing ship! The ambiance and cuisine matched the grace and grandeur of the Queen Mary. I cannot wait to come back.
Wonderful food and service. A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. A great place for a special occasion.
The food was fantastic and the service impeccable. Nothing like a view of Long Beach while dining. Looking forward to another special day to dine here.
Compared to other high ended restaurants such as Ruth Chris & Mastro's, the price and quality plus portion size of this food on your menu below value. The Caesar salad for 2 was terrible. The mashed potatoes were served cold and steaks we had we're below quality for price. My wife's free Birthday carrot cake was best quality on menu.
I was able make reservations for my convenience
Our server Juan was excellent
All courses were properly served and wine selection vast
Impeccable service, worth every penny! I recommend the Caesar salad to start. It’s served table side.
What a dining experience!! The atmosphere was totally relaxed. We had a table by the window overlooking the harbor & the city lights. Our server, Jesus, was very pleasant & helpful. The meal was outstanding! I love going to Sir Winston’s. It’s one of the few restaurants we can really dress in our finest & dine like royalty! I highly recommend Sir Winston’s aboard the Queen Mary!
Wonderful setting, superb food, excellent setting. So pleased this restaurant has maintained its high standards!
Our sever was amazing, completely accommodating to all of our needs. Made the night for me and saved what could have been a rough meal. A must dine in to enjoy the delicious food.
All I can say is that the restaurant was very good. Staff, Food, Venue all very good.
The reason for the poor mark is that while we were there, they had some VERY loud thumping music event going on at the stern of the boat. This was such a terrible mental intrusion, I will never forget it.
I personally would fire the event director that allowed such an event to take place on a Sunday evening next to the ships Flagship restaurant. I will let friends know of this experience.
There was a party going on just outside the restaurant, it was very noisy!
It was lovely as it always has been, but there was an event that was happening and the music was so loud that it disturbed us and everyone around us. The food was fantastic though!! As well as the server David, he was friendly and just made it comfortable!!
Love this restaurant can wait to go back Jesus our waiter was amazing
A nostalgic trip back in time. Arrive early to enjoy the historic ambiance of the Queen Mary. Stroll the decks while taking in the beautiful skyline of the Long Beach harbor. Enjoy a cocktail in the piano bar lounge. While pricey, it will be a night to remember.
Fun to experience the Queen Mary. They need to do some general upkeep. Chairs in the Observation Bar were terrible- home, time. Pretty ratty and tacky. Actually pretty embarrassing on their part
Stuffed shrimp were cold inside and the stuffing was too sweet instead of savory. Didn’t ask to replace dish which I should have. Lost 42.00 on a dish we didn’t eat
My daughter has a slight obsession with the Queen Mary ship. She wanted to go to Sir Winston's for her 20th birthday. This was our second time having dinner there. The time before was when we celebrated her high school graduation. We did not tell the staff either time that we were celebrating something. Both times, the service was excellent. For her birthday dinner we were seated with a window view of Long Beach. I'm vegetarian and not a big eater. I ordered two sides for my dinner and the server didn't flinch at it. He was very proper and very pleasant. We had scheduled a tour on the ship and had underestimated our time. When we explained this to our server, he immediately took care of our needs, again, accommodating us in an amicable manner. I definitely recommend Sir Winston's - give yourself time to enjoy = 2+ hours.
Yes. I have already. The service and food was great. Wish we lived where we could go more.
Excellent service especially Jesus a waiter .he make my birthday very pleasant and memorable.
This was a birthday celebration and it was everything I could have ever wanted- and more. A voyage of culinary delights and impeccable service!
We started in the lounge/ bar before hand where we hand our favorite drinks: Manhattans made by our favorite bartender who knows how to make them! Plus he knows us well from our frequent visits- at least once a month.
We eventually made our way to the dining room and had a perfect table by the window facing the stern and the harbor.
Our server was a 10-year veteran at Sir Winston’s (SW) and knew all the inside and outs of the menu, pacing and style. We had the best meal in years and were treated like royalty. Starting off with the lobster bisque was a smart move. It was like a small lobster was caught swimming in the bowl of our soups and just stayed. There were generous morsels of lobster in every bite! The flavor was great! Complex, not too salty or too thick, which menu chefs get wrong. Perfect!
The main I ordered was the sea scallops. Perfectly cooked and amazing. My partner ordered their signature dish, the beef Wellington and was totally wowed. Perfectly prepared. The pastry was crispy, the meat expertly prepared. Could not have been better.
We had a side of mashed ed potatoes which we split. It was plenty. The portions were all so generous and filling we were perfectly sated and ready for... desert!
Yes! They made a special desert with my name written in chocolate on the plate. The lovely chocolate ganache cake was incredible and they sent me back with chocolate covered strawberries to have in our stateroom.
From the drinks to the desert, the wine pairing suggestions and the expertly prepared food and service, SW at the Queen Mary is a culinary experience one does not have every day and is a true celebration of service, style and sensational taste.
Six Stars!!! We’ll be back soon. Bon voyage!!! Thank you for making this guy the happiest passenger ever!
Customer service was excellent, the food was tantalizing, marvelous, it was marvelous!!
Excellent view, service and atmosphere. I ordered the Oysters Rockafeller, the TINIEST oysters I have ever encountered with too much cream sause and not nearly enough oyster or spinach. Otherwise the meal was good.
Magical experience aboard the Queen Mary, first class service with quality food from an exiting menu offering a fantastic choice of food. Expensive but worth every penny for those very special occasions
Table had great view of the Long Beach Harbor. Food was exceptional and service too.
Our experience at Sir Winston's was absolutely incredible!!!! Food was amazing, service impeccable!!!! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Long Beach. It was the perfect end to an amazing vacation!!!!
Wonderful setting, excellent food and great service. Highly recommend
Excellent experience, except that the dress code is not enforced. There were some men at adjacent tables at dinner in T-shirts, jeans, and wearing caps. Our group was in jacket & tie with ladies in cocktail dresses for an elegant time. Sloppy is distracting, and it really was noticeable. Sir Winston's and the Queen Mary is not an In-and-Out Burger.
Service was excellent, Jesus. Food wasn't very good. My lobster was dry and rubbery. My vegetables were over cooked, looked wilted and lacked any flavor.
We had a wonderful dinner! Our waiter Jesus was excellent!
The only issue is that it is very awkward getting to it!
Better signage and stairways.... I am glad we can still do stairs.... as the place is not disabled friendly.... which seems very antiquated for such a first class venue... in a state so wisely attuned to the concept of access for all.... it actually makes the place look like they are saying : We don’t care...
I would look to that issue
Noisy. Seated by a large gathering in a room next to us separated by a curtain. Could hardly hear my husband who was sitting across from me.
Amazing experience! One of the most relaxing dinners I've ever had. Food was superb and drinks were top notch. Ambiance was perfect for a quiet romantic birthday dinner. Best part over all was the service was hands down amazing! Vido took amazing care of us- our every need was handled before we even thought of it! Made a special night even more memorable. We will be back!
The servers could barely speak English. Beef Wellington was dry.
I surprised my fiancé and made dinner reservations here and he absolutely loved it. The host sat us facing the window so both of us had an amazing view while we ate. The food was divine; fresh and very flavorful. Our server recommended the special for that evening which was a filet mignon and lobster tail combo with fresh asparagus and carrots. To top off the wonderfully relaxing and intimate dinner there was a friendly and professional piano player. The atmosphere was perfect for a nice dinner out. Definitely recommend.
We celebrated my husbands birthday and had a wonderful time. After dealing with LA traffic and check in at the hotel, the restaurant was a great place to unwind and relax. From cocktails (mine shaken at the table! and fantastic!) to the filet mignon and lamb, souffle and complimentary birthday cake it was a most enjoyable experience.
We had the Filet Mignon -Lobster, Rack of Lamb, Caesar Salad for 2, and Grand Marnier Souffle. The food and service were both excellent . It was our anniversary so they also brought out cheese cake and chocolate strawberries. The "made at your table" Ceasar Salad was the best I have had. All of the food was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Even though it is on the pricey side, it was well worth every penny.
