Creative, delicious and perfectly cooked food, friendly and attentive staff and amazing atmosphere....and.....i just can't get enough of the egg-shaped restroom.
It's been years since I've dined at Sketch, it is still visually beautiful and was pleasantly surprised by the food. A lovely evening.
We went for a dinner, the staff was nice, the cocktails and dishes were good, amazing decor, I recommend Sketch !
Service was very attentive and the food was amazing!
Staff were excellent
Loved the decor and different rooms to wander through
Would highly recommend
Beautiful place and great atmosphere, but the afternoon tea was very overpriced
We had a lovely time and amazing food. The place is great and full of surprises.
We were a bit shared about the service as the maitre was outstanding receiving us however we had to request the waitress to take our order as we could not get her attention (she spontaneously came to take our order like 5 minutes after we had the menus in hands, way too early). And we had to ask the bill 3 times.. when you have a bill of more than £70 pp with just mains and wine you would expect better service quality. Maybe not enough staff ?
The restaurant has amazing interiors and loved the winter wonderland look, sadly thou the food was average with gourmet prices.
The Sketch never disappoints, great ambiance and service combined with fantastic food and wine. Always a pleasure, can't wait for our next visit.
Sketch has a cool vibe - a lively atmosphere and very unique. Great food and drink and well worth a visit
Love this place - have been coming for years......great food, lovely wine and v welcoming staff
What a fun place!
We took my daughter here for dinner for her birthday. I could say this was an "experience"! The décor is quirky and fun and my daughter loved it - it was "cool"!. The food was ok in my view but nothing special I guess you are paying for the ambiance as it is quite pricey. Service was very slow but we were not in a rush and we enjoyed just watching everything going on around us! I had mentioned it was my daughter's birthday and she was presented with a plate of desserts with Happy Birthday iced on which was a nice touch! All in all we had a very enjoyable evening and so I can say it was worth it. You must visit the toilets!!! Never been to toilets like these!!
Outrageously overpriced for well presented but bland food with mediocre service. Don't try to impress anyone by bringing them here...
The Perfect London Experience with amazing service, food and wine. An absolute London must. Sketch is perfection.
It is an amazing restaurant!! The food was very nice except for the side dish (fried fish). It is quite pricy as well. Also the pink chairs and sofa's are a bit dirty (pink was getting black a bit). Overall good atmoshphere and friendly staff.
Very nice decoration but the food and drinks are not compatible to the price and ambiance.
The best restaurant atmosphere in London! Very good service, we felt very welcomed and taken care of!
The dining gallery and the bathroom area certainly lived up to expectations, and the food quality is very good. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working on the hottest day of the year, and it certainly affected our dining experience.
I took my friend here while he was on a visit to London from a small town overseas, and (if you have the cash!) would definitely recommend sketch as place to bring visitors. We had a great time and my friend was really amused by and enjoyed all the quirkiness.
Overpriced food that lacks imagination. Amazing decor and ambiance though.
Love it make having afternoon tea more special
I love everything about this place, friendly staff, amazing food and perfect setting for a special night.
Its a place more of for ladies a guess, i was dragged there by my friends and the food was average but the experience is special, recommend people who wanna have special dining experience. There is a minimum spending of a starter plus a main as welll i think
A bit of a let down, alas. The venue is fun, good bar if a bit pricey, decorated in an entertaining way. Service however left somewhat to be desired. We ordered the special main - a full duck served as two courses - and while the first course was really tasty the second was a let down, tasteless and uninspiring. Pudding did redeem the meal but the hefty bill at the end of the evening didn't seem to tally with the quality of the food served. Worth a visit but perhaps only if you secure a special offer!!
Wonderful service and exquisite food
I think they are missing a trick. Not as good as it used to be. I much prefer the old decor. Atmosphere just isn't the same.
Food needs to be updated as well. Nothing that stands out to me.
The Udon noodles were amazing. As was the Pumpkin Veloute.
Very disappointed in Sketch, used to come here all the time going back 6 -7 years ago and I used to think the food and ambiance were exceptional. The ambiance is still absolutely sublime but the food is just trying too hard to be something but it misses due to the ingredients! Presentation is beautiful but taste has a long way to go before I will return. I have to say the service was also impeccable, pity it has so much to offer and yet the main ingredient is missing.
Amazing place and atmosphere, love the cocktail served in the David shringley teapot was so great! And Sarah who was serving us cocktails was absolutely amazing she knew everything about everything and was so so lovely! Definitely will be back a big thank you!
The food and decor are lovely but the service needs improvement. This is a very expensive restaurant and I shouldn't have to ask 3-4 times for drinks that fail to be served though we almost finished our meal!
My son is a picky eater and I asked if instead of the Mac and cheese on the children's menu I could just have plain pasta and that I am happy to pay as if I ordered the Mac and cheese. I got a flat out "no!" We ordered handsomely and I found that not very nice at all. I ordered the Mac and cheese and my son didn't touch it. They did refund the dish without me asking but my son was left hungry. Any other fine restaurant I've been to was happy to simplify an existing dish.
The decor is out of this world. The bathrooms, the sketches, the colour, it's all amazing!
The food is outstanding and a special word for the service which is absolutely fantastic. The waiters have a beautiful outfit are constantly trying to help and super friendly. Of course this all comes with a rather high price tag... But it's worth it.
This place has a beautiful pink and white interior with soft luxurious lighting - its very romantic. Even though sadly I wasn't there on a date it felt like a great place for one. Regardless its a great place for dinner with friends. I found the artwork hilarious, most of it was comic but had a deeper meaning which was an interesting atmosphere to eat in. I was totally in love with the pink velvet seats and the service. Every time my friend went to sit down, they tucked him in!
Now about the food, the ravioli was magnificent and so were potato dauphinoise! I had macaroons for dessert which melted in the mouth. Even though the food is quite dear, it is definitely worth it. I didn't give this place 5 stars for value because I do not feel £13 for a cocktail is worth it anywhere.
The toilets were creepy but I believe most people think they're amazing. Overall, one of the best dinners and night outs I've had. Amazing atmosphere, service and great food. A very sophisticated evening but also a casual affair. 100% recommend to anyone unless you're not a fan of crude humour which a lot of the paintings display.
Brilliant service, all the waitresses and waiters were so attentive, the cocktails were fab, the food was so well presented and the ambiance was spot on. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, great staff and what a venue! Will definitely be coming back!
Unreal! We lived it check out the unique restroom
What can I say about this restaurant! I had heard so many good things about it and we had to experience it for ourselves. Me and my husband went here for our 2 year wedding anniversary and had a fantastic night!
LOVE the restaurant, the food was lovely, ambience is arty, cool and quirky and the toilets are like nothing you have seen before! You have to go to this restaurant at least once in your life it's so cool and the food is delicious!
Check out the bars after as well!
Very interesting bathrooms! Tasty and inventive food choices. Different and interesting rooms (bar, restaurant, club (I think it was a club)). One small semi-negative thing to note - the main restaurant lacks atmosphere until it gets busy. It's because of the high ceilings. When it gets busy and they dim the lights slightly the atmosphere cranks up too. Not a big problem but I'd recommend booking your table after 8pm for best atmosphere
Once again, the service and food were great and we had a superb evening.
The decor was eccentric and amazing. Don't forget to check out all the rooms of the restarant especially the washrooms upstairs
Amazing for a chilled out dinner with friends
I booked a table for 6.30, arrived at 6.25, to be told to wait as the table wasn't ready, we had a drink in the bar, which was nice. Waited until 6.55 then I asked what happened to my table. They then went away and came back and took us to the table. told us we had a sitting for 2hours and need the table back by 8.30pm. Which would have been fine, but no apologies for giving the table to us 30 minutes late or stating as we were late in giving the table you can have it until 9pm.
Then I had to asked to take my food order, the food arrived and was nice but service wasn't brilliant. Then ordered dessert and drinks, waited for a while and then approached to say we need to eat the dessert at the bar as they needed the table for 8.30pm :-o I cancelled the order and requested the bill. Very unhappy and explained how we got the table late, but no apologies.
Then the bill arrived and the main guy asked if all okay, I explained the situation and he walked away from me, this was the icing on the cake and I was so annoyed that I wished I didn't pay the service charge they included. I left the place very upset and it was a special treat for my partner and as I thought Sketch had a good reputation it lacked in the service and would be very much in two minds to go and to recommend.
A good aspect of this restaurant is the frequently changing menu. Downside is that it can change on the downside and for me it did. We had 3 different selections of main course and they were all less than average. However, it was no surprise that the costs is vastly over average. I came expecting that, but not the food would be like diner food. Add to this is that the gentleman who greeted us mistook people who were standing bell behind us as part of our group and sat them down at our table, and the fact that I had asked for flowers and a gift that I brought along to be presented with the sweets. That didn't happen and I had to go to the reception to pick up. The restaurant kindly offered a sweet plate for the birthday girl that was customised with her name, nice touch. The waiters/waitresses were quite nice and the lady who offered a recommendation for the sweet wine, gaev a great recommendation. All in all, value for money is low. I expected better food from a high end restaurant.
