After a slow start,(we had to ask after being seated for 20 mins for someone to come take our food and drinks order) we had a very nice time. A minor problem with my sandwich on the afternoon tea but it was rectified quickly and as it was our anniversary we was given a discount on our bill to make up for the errors so alls well that ends well. Lovely place great atmosphere would definitely go again.
Had a lovely anniversary celebration. Very well organised and no complaints at all. We were made very comfortable and relaxed for a couple of hours without any issues. Will definitely will be back. Our daughter studying in Leeds was impressed also and no doubt will be visiting again with her friends also.
Manager was very obliging and informative.
Afternoon Tea - small portions and not fresh bread
Table booked for 4pm, not ready when we arrived got seated at 4:30pm. Everything was very slow.
Shocking afternoon tea ..overpriced
Good cocktails though
Absolutely lovely ambience, really good service. Was a very pleasant experience.
We went here for afternoon tea, we found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the restaurant itself has outstanding views and the afternoon tea was lovely.
Definitely one to try
We booked the afternoon tea for a late mother’s day for my mum and two daughters. When we arrived we were shown to a table in the dark corner of the room I asked if we could move to closer to the window so we had some light but all tables were reserved so this wasn’t a great start. When a table cleared near the window area we asked if could move to that table which we were able to. The first guy that came to serve us had a problem with customer service you could tell he was there to get on with his job. We then had a young girls serving us who was very helpful and kept topping our teas and coffees up. When the afternoon tea arrived we were a little diflated as we had all purposely not eaten that day to enjoy the afternoon tea. Everything was a miniature of a miniature! The food comprised of a quarter of a wrap two tiny bland sandwiches which was a quarter of a sandwich. One was a cheese and pickle the other beef which was very fatty. The desserts consisted of miniature apple crumble. Brownie and carrot cake all the size of a dairy milk chocolate then a shot glass of mousse which you had to use your finger to get it out as the spoons were far too big to get to the bottom. There was a small scone with a very small pot of ham and cream to share for two people. This was a failure of afternoon teas in our eyes most people there paid by groupon voucher which we paid full price of £20pp if you put the whole of the food give it would of easily fit on a sandwich plate. We are not big eaters at all but When we left my mum went for a Sunday Cavery and me and my daughters made tea soon as we got home. Very expensive for what it was but I suppose you pay for the surroundings and not the food in this case. I love the sky lounge for cocktails and drinks but certainly won’t be back for afternoon tea!
The bar is exceptionally classy but the whole evening was made by the staff and one bartender in particular (Cyro Young )..
Cyro went above and beyond to make mine and my partners night a night to remember from recommending drinks, marking drinks that cater to our tastes and even table service.
Me and my partner can't thank him enough and will definitely be back... 10/10 for manners, technical skills and table service
Thank you Cyro.
Billy Bloomfield & Lucie sterland.
Five of us enjoyed our afternoon tea, the girl who served us was lovely. The food was tasty and varied. Prosecco nice and dry. Handy location.
My daughter bought a groupon voucher for afternoon tea for my birthday , I wouldn't recommend it , the food was quite poor and we weren't told we had limited procecco so ended up paying £10 on top . We only had 4 glasses in total between the 2 of us anyway .
There are far better places for afternoon tea and at half the price , very disappointed 😔
We had a great time and were impressed with the food and service, friendly and helpful staff.
Brought a friend for afternoon tea. She’d never been before and has a severe tomato allergy. When I told them this they prepared her her own tea stand so she could eat everything with total confidence. We upgraded to unlimited Prosecco and finished with a delicious raspberry mojito. Glad to see you’re doing your bit for the environment with paper straws, even if they didn’t last the full drink
Great staff, lovely place. The sandwiches made from brown bread were stale.
Visited for drinks, lounge very busy, but good service, staff friendly and attentive, great atmosphere and views.
Make sure you have deep pockets and are not very hungry!
Great place to take your partner! Expensive but I feel it was worth it.
Was shown to our table straight away but as we did not like our table we were shown to another without a problem .the service was very good , friendly and our waitress even told us about the offer on a bottle of prosecco which we had with our afternoon tea.
It was a pleasant surprise ,it was so relaxing and the staff made you feel special .have already recommended to friends and will certainly treat friend and return.
We quite liked the decor theme and of course the view is spectacular. We were initially given a table with very restricted leg room even though there were other tables clearly available and we had booked well in advance. We asked to be moved which we were, to the far end of the restaurant where there is little ambiance - the diners close to us were swearing and this spoiled our experience a little as you can imagine - we just looked the other way and obviously no fault of yours.
Food was nice, although top heavy on sweet things as opposed to savoury.
Staff were courteous and smart and very pleasant.
Booked a table but it wasn’t busy however it took a while to get seated and then we had to wait for our order to be taken. Our first drinks came reasonably quickly but our second order took a long time and we could see that 2 of the drinks were sitting on the bar for at least 5 minutes before the final drink (a Bloody Mary) was ready. Given the price of the drinks, it would have been nice to have been offered a few nibbles.
I had to put a rating in for food even though I didn’t have any. There should be a NA option on the survey.
Hard to get a service. Only two waitresses, and they always ignore us. The afternoon tea is just ok. But we wait for a really long time to get service and the bill, the milk..
The environment is nice.
Overpriced by £5 per person, food sub standard and made 3 of our party ill. Have always wanted to visit here so very disappointed. Have complained directly and through TripAdvisor.
I booked the Afternoon Tea with Prosecco but when shown to our seats they weren't aware that I had booked this and I had to tell them. Overall though the experience was great, food great and very nice Prosecco!!
Half the food menu was missing to what is displayed on the website ( would have eaten before if I had known) ...... what we did order was cold and not even nice ! Service was slow , we were put in the corner and must have been forgotten about. We were there 3 hours and were served 1 drink, had to go on a search for a waiter to ask where our drink was and then after waiting 2 hours to be served again we gave up . Then had to go on another search to for a waiter to get our bill. Not what you expect In a place like this on a Friday night. VERY DISAPPOINTED
Lovely ambience, and view. Our food got mixed up, even though I requested vegetarian beforehand (when booking) and also told them when we got seated. The sandwiches also tasted stale hence why i’ve given it 3 stars.
Friendly staff. Food very average, not as good as I expected.
Lovely view of Leeds city. Great by night. Great terrace for searing when it is warm. Inside looks nice. Enough space and clean. Quite loud music. Good staff. Good choice of drinks and food. Great area in Leeds. I will be coming back soon in the future. I had really great night. Xxx
worst hour of my life. everyone was rude . also smelly . view was nice still.
We went there for Valentine's Day. They only had an expensive set menu and do not even have crisps to accompany a cocktail. The view is the only reason to go
Very friendly and helpful staff. Attentive but not overpowering.
Tasty afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea was good although we have had better. The room is looking a little dated but overall good.
Excellent experience we really enjoyed our Afternoon Tea
Lovely afternoon tea for my friends birthday! Food was amazing.
Fantastic views and staff were lovely and very friendly.😊
Would definitely recommend to friends.
I booked afternoon tea for four people for my daughter's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent and have to admit the chairs were so comfortable I could have quite happily remained there all afternoon!!
Went for the unlimited prosecco afternoon tea as a late Christmas present. Service was fantastic, our glasses were never empty and the food was lovely. A very enjoyable afternoon
Enjoyed an afternoon tea treat in a very comfortable setting. Very good staff and food as we thought. No cause to complain we took our time and enjoyed the experience and view equally.
Nice view and bar but the service was appauling, the front staff had a face on that was far less than welcoming and were overal unfriendly. Bar staff was very friendly and approachable although all of our drinks were far too sweet to drink. The view was nice but i would definately recommend cloud 23 manchester for the service, drinks, atmosphere amd service (impeccible).
Afternoon tea January 2nd. Did not realise it was a festive one. Turkey sarnies, Christmas cake etc. None of which was pleasant. Yuk.
Excellent breakfast service with friendly efficient staff
