We quite liked the decor theme and of course the view is spectacular. We were initially given a table with very restricted leg room even though there were other tables clearly available and we had booked well in advance. We asked to be moved which we were, to the far end of the restaurant where there is little ambiance - the diners close to us were swearing and this spoiled our experience a little as you can imagine - we just looked the other way and obviously no fault of yours.
Food was nice, although top heavy on sweet things as opposed to savoury.
Staff were courteous and smart and very pleasant.
Booked a table but it wasn’t busy however it took a while to get seated and then we had to wait for our order to be taken. Our first drinks came reasonably quickly but our second order took a long time and we could see that 2 of the drinks were sitting on the bar for at least 5 minutes before the final drink (a Bloody Mary) was ready. Given the price of the drinks, it would have been nice to have been offered a few nibbles.
I had to put a rating in for food even though I didn’t have any. There should be a NA option on the survey.
Hard to get a service. Only two waitresses, and they always ignore us. The afternoon tea is just ok. But we wait for a really long time to get service and the bill, the milk..
The environment is nice.
Overpriced by £5 per person, food sub standard and made 3 of our party ill. Have always wanted to visit here so very disappointed. Have complained directly and through TripAdvisor.
I booked the Afternoon Tea with Prosecco but when shown to our seats they weren't aware that I had booked this and I had to tell them. Overall though the experience was great, food great and very nice Prosecco!!
Half the food menu was missing to what is displayed on the website ( would have eaten before if I had known) ...... what we did order was cold and not even nice ! Service was slow , we were put in the corner and must have been forgotten about. We were there 3 hours and were served 1 drink, had to go on a search for a waiter to ask where our drink was and then after waiting 2 hours to be served again we gave up . Then had to go on another search to for a waiter to get our bill. Not what you expect In a place like this on a Friday night. VERY DISAPPOINTED
Lovely ambience, and view. Our food got mixed up, even though I requested vegetarian beforehand (when booking) and also told them when we got seated. The sandwiches also tasted stale hence why i’ve given it 3 stars.
Friendly staff. Food very average, not as good as I expected.
Lovely view of Leeds city. Great by night. Great terrace for searing when it is warm. Inside looks nice. Enough space and clean. Quite loud music. Good staff. Good choice of drinks and food. Great area in Leeds. I will be coming back soon in the future. I had really great night. Xxx
worst hour of my life. everyone was rude . also smelly . view was nice still.
We went there for Valentine's Day. They only had an expensive set menu and do not even have crisps to accompany a cocktail. The view is the only reason to go
Very friendly and helpful staff. Attentive but not overpowering.
Tasty afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea was good although we have had better. The room is looking a little dated but overall good.
Excellent experience we really enjoyed our Afternoon Tea
Lovely afternoon tea for my friends birthday! Food was amazing.
Fantastic views and staff were lovely and very friendly.😊
Would definitely recommend to friends.
I booked afternoon tea for four people for my daughter's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent and have to admit the chairs were so comfortable I could have quite happily remained there all afternoon!!
Went for the unlimited prosecco afternoon tea as a late Christmas present. Service was fantastic, our glasses were never empty and the food was lovely. A very enjoyable afternoon
Enjoyed an afternoon tea treat in a very comfortable setting. Very good staff and food as we thought. No cause to complain we took our time and enjoyed the experience and view equally.
Nice view and bar but the service was appauling, the front staff had a face on that was far less than welcoming and were overal unfriendly. Bar staff was very friendly and approachable although all of our drinks were far too sweet to drink. The view was nice but i would definately recommend cloud 23 manchester for the service, drinks, atmosphere amd service (impeccible).
Afternoon tea January 2nd. Did not realise it was a festive one. Turkey sarnies, Christmas cake etc. None of which was pleasant. Yuk.
Excellent breakfast service with friendly efficient staff
We went as a group of 10 , we had a booking for 2 but they accommodated us.
Excellent service and great atmosphere. Will be going again
Food average and the service very poor and very slow certainly wouldn't have afternoon tea there again.
Afternoon tea took an hour to arrive , bread was dry. Slow and poor service. Had 50% knocked off due to disappointment.
Booked for our christmas friends get together. Great choice of drinks, cocktails especially. Service slow & not that great. Was told we could substitute any sandwiches we didnt like for others off the menu. All said didnt like salmon, didnt get any extra for those we didnt want & one still got salmon. Food not that amazing
The lattes were cold & when told about werent that bothered.
No major rush to serve us.
No real atmosphere, maybe some softer music, piano, jazz in the background would have been lovely
Very lively for a Thursday evening, maybe due to Xmas dos. Not cheap, but certainly a very nice place to go for a special occasion.
An amazing day and I would really recommend this bar to anyone and the cocktails were beautiful
My friends and I booked afternoon tea at the Sky Bar but were left somewhat disappointed. We were shown to one of the high tables (we did ask to be moved but were told no) in the middle of the bar with people standing either end just having a drink and the music was so loud we couldn't here each other or the waitress when she eventually came to take our order. Our table was booked for 4pm and it was nearer 5 before the food was brought out. This was served in a high square wooden box so not only could we not hear each other we couldn't see our friends at the other side of the table. One of our party doesn't take alcohol and had to wait a further 15 minutes before her tea arrived (the rest of us had cocktails which were served quickly). The emphasis in this bar appears to be serving as many alcoholic drinks as possible and afternoon tea is an after thought. The young waitress tried her best but was so busy serving drinks she couldn't concentrate on our order. We had to ask twice for the tea and again for milk. To top it all when we got the bill they had overcharged us for the cocktails. The reason for the error was that "The buttons on the till didn't correspond with the prices on the afternoon tea menu!!!"
The two positives were that the food was very good as were the cocktails/presecco.
If you are looking for a nice place for afternoon tea with friends where you can see each other and have a chat (without having people either end of your table shouting to each other) then avoid the Sky Bar. There are quieter areas in the Doubletree Hilton (Leeds) where they can serve afternoon tea.
Another lovely afternoon tea with unlimited prosecco, fantastic food and superb service. One of our favourite places to meet.
Booked a table for pre dinner cocktails 🍸 on a Sunday afternoon. Service was a little slow but staff were very accommodating about us moving tables to see more of the view. The Pina Colada was lovely.
Few drinks for girlfriends birthday! Excellent atmosphere and service.
Very disappointed, we booked a table to drink and dine but found ourselves seated on top of three other couple's, the area was unsuitable, we decided to not eat and move on. I might add that it seems a great place to meet if dating on bumble, the couple within a ruler length from us certainly hit it off!
Excellent afternoon tea treat and experience first time at sky lounge didn’t disappoint will be back
Amazing cocktails, friendly staff and amazing afternoon tea will defiantly be returning
The afternoon tea was fantastic and the selection of sandwiches was different to other places I’ve been which was refreshing. However I had pre-booked yet we were seated to the side of the restaurant which felt removed from the hub of the place. The service was also disappointing we were seated at our table but then no one attended to us for 15 minutes when we caught the attention of a waitress. We also had to ask on two more occasions for a drink. The seating and service really tainted what could have been a fantastic experience as the food and setting was outstanding.
Really enjoyed it, excellent service, good atmosphere
Absolutely 1st class table service! Really nice friendly staff
The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive, especially given we were an hour late. The afternoon tea was really nice. Good views from the balcony.
Very nice afternoon tea with my daughter, the staff were very friendly and helpful, good view and lovely food with refills of hot drinks include
Had to move tables as we were double booked but did not think it was as nice where we ended up, cocktails were really great even though hefty on the price but worth it. Think service and ambience could have been better as we felt separated from the main bar. Place could do with more tables n chairs for busy periods.
