Afternoon tea didn’t live up to expectations nor represent good value for money
Service was excellent, very friendly and happy. Food was well presented, warm and tasty.
Terrible - no one came to serve our table when we had made a resevation. Also, it is not clear on the website that they only serve small bites on a saturday! Should be more clear and was way too lound to even hear the person sat across from me.
We had a lovely afternoon tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I think the food looked extremely pretty but thought it wasn’t enough in each selection.... it was a shame we picked a rainy day but there’s no control in the weather.....
Limited food choice and not a lot of it, bread stale and meringue shop bought. Average, not worth the money
Service was bad, had to ask for cutlery and food was getting cold while we waited. Service staff was unfriendly and not ver attentive. Disappointed all around
Although the service was good we found the to be a little on the scruffy side her apron was in need of a good iron and her white blouse was an off white.
The tea pots and cups were stained and in need of a good clean.
The seat I was sat on had a covering of one of the studs missing and was unable to sit back in case I caught my top on it
Because of this our experience was tainted with disappointment especially as it was a birthday present for my friend
We loved our time here. Our only criticism was that on three occasions we had difficulty attracting the attention on the waitresses, once we had to go looking
Came here for my 18th, really good cocktails and ambiance. Woukd recommed coming for the night
We came to the sky lounge for a birthday. We had booked and ordered the afternoon teas to be pleasantly surprised with a deal of 2 for £29.99. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and unlimited hot drinks with variety. The service was a bit slow from actually waiting to order to waiting for drinks and wanting to re-order drinks again. We were served by one member of staff who had informed us of an afternoon tea however the table next to us were told about a ‘new’ menu and had received another afternoon tea, we were a bit disappointed to not have received this. Overall it was an amazing experience and would definitely recommend.
We celebrated our Wedding anniversary. Fran our waitress was very good, and made my husband a Hurricane Cocktail after we said we haven't found anywhere that does them. He was very impressed, and I am sure will will visit again.
I was absolutely shocked at the service! Iv previously been to cloud 23 in Manchester and it was 110% better than here. Sort it out
Our visit to the SKY LOUNGE was even better then expected- after reading raving reviews and looking at incredible reviews we was already excited for our visit, but experiencing it first hand was incredible. What a beautiful gem of Leeds.
This place was amazing. I took my sister for her birthday she loved the experience.
Fiancée birthday afternoon tea service was a bit all over food for afternoon tea come out before drinks then we had t ask for tea to go with the afternoon tea . Only 2 staff working and not communicating with each other much so had an effect on us and other guests . We weren’t asked how was your meal until the end
Scones were dry and bread was slightly on the stale side
Really lovely food and we sat outside which was nice. We had afternoon tea which was great. A really nice choice of food and we were all full after. Would recommend
Drinks with a view , amazing place to sit back and relax at night overlooking Leeds city.
we were shown to our table which was infront of the window, the place is very nice and the view was amazing, we went to sit outside. the drinks are freshly made not pre made mixers so they tasted much better then other cocktail bars.
absoulety disgraceful ! terrible service from start to finish.
Restaurant is in a lovely location with fabulous view. Staff are attentive. However, food could be better and there was a mistake with our food regarding a food allergy.
I was most dissapointed this was my 2nd visit for afternoon tea completely different experience the food was very poor and wouldn't recommend it thought it was poor value for money and wouldn't recommend the service
Great staff! Thank you for a lovely afternoon tea!
Unfortunately this was style over substance on this occasion - in all aspects. The service was very poor - we were left for ages to order a 2nd drink while we were eating, and could not find a waiter to order desserts, or a 3rd drink for quite some time. The lobster tail pasta was very disappointing - pasta was cold & tail was chewy. The dessert was supposed to be poached strawberries & champagne jelly - I don’t believe there was a strawberry in there. Not the best.
Your website indicates a strict dress code, and outlines there will be music played and food available. Our table was booked for 8:30pm, at which point the bar was crawling with overflow from the prior football match - the men were wearing shorts, t shirt and trainers, which is against the dress code and had clearly had enough drinks for the evenning, even by that point. The music was too loud for us to hear ourselves talk, let alone think. I would liken it more to a rave than a bar/restaurant. Not at any point were we asked for a food order, and even if we were, it would have been out of place given the volume of music and people that were in the bar at that time. We stayed for one drink and left. I expect much better from The Hilton hotels and chain and this was a very unpleasant and unwanted experience.
Lovely afternoon everyone enjoyed it especially the birthday girl
Booked a table for Saturday 29th June for friends that were visiting from Scotland. Once seated we sat for about 20 mins before I had to ask someone to take our drinks order. Tables were being served around us but I could get so much as a glance by any of the staff. After 10 mins waiting for our drinks I had to chase our order up. We only stayed for one drink as we didn’t want to wait for the next set of drinks. Also there was little to no toilet roll in the ladies toilets. Very disappointed with the service. And quite embarrassed that my friends had to experience this. I don’t think I will ever visit the sky lounge again!!!!
Off milk given with tea pot. When brought to staff’s attention she replaced the milk and cups leaving us with a half empty and cold pot. Bread was partially stale and scones not warm and fresh.
Afternoon tea with the smallest amount of food I have ever seen. Poor value for money which is a shame as the staff service and location are excellent.
Birthday afternoon tea - excellent
Place with a very good view to the city of Leeds. Not that cheap, but it's worth to visit of you're in Leeds.
We came for an afternoon tea midweek which was very quiet and relaxing. The waitress was fantastic, genuinely friendly and helpful and accommodated our changes to menu options. Lovely atmosphere and furniture.
Only put a 1 for the food due to the fact we didn’t eat, but I had to rate it.
We booked for an Afternoon Tea on Open Table. On the day, we realised that the reservation email mentioned that afternoon teas after 6PM needed to be booked in advance so we called an hour before the booking and the front desk advised that it would be no trouble. On arrival, the host mentioned that it was past 5 and Afternoon Teas were not normally done but seated us to find out if it was possible. Thankfully, as we were celebrating a birthday, it was possible and we enjoyed a very lovely afternoon tea. We took advantage of the Happy Hour Prosecco to accompany our tasty afternoon treats. A lovely experience, although it would have been nice to have an an area to change my 4 month old girl that wasn't an unlocked conference room that I had to sneak into.
Very pricy for what you get. Didn't get offered tea with the afternoon" tea" Had a iced cocktail shot instead. Portion sizes very measly. Left there to get something else to eat. Views ok. Possibly better on a evening.
Menu had completed changed from when I booked, had I know this would not have booked. Took my daughter for 12th B’day treat, initially good service, but then got order wrong & we had our afternoon tea 10mins before we got our drink of tea and that was only because I asked! Massively over priced. In hindsight I think this venue is great for cocktail/drinks with friends but definitely not for afternoon tea, much better options available (both food & price wise!).
Excellent service and fantastic friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for a nicer way to have afternoon tea with the ladies
Excellent afternoon tea with friends. Excellent service from staff, attentive but not intrusive. Good selection sanndwiches and cakes. Option of prosecco with your food. Comfortable seating and a joy to be able to hold a conversation without loud music.
Went to sky lounge for my birthday the staff were lovely and looked very presentable
They told us to sit wherever we like so we chose to sit outside with the amazing view, one of the staff came handed out there drinks menu and the service was actually fast
I would visit there again hopefully bring all my lovely’s friends :) x
We booked procesco afternoon tea however we didn't get any procesco and had to pay extra for the glass of Diet Coke one of the diners asked for instead of a warm drink
We weren't bothered about the wine as none of the diners wanted it anyway but the fact we weren't offered any despite the afternoon tea saying procesco was included and having then to pay extra for the Diet Coke when this was asked for instead of the warm drink as she doesn't drink tea or coffee I think was a bit much
Way overpriced. The vibe was not what I expected I thought it would be chilled with maybe piano music but it was like a childs disco. We booked and were told there would be table service but we gave up after half an hour and left. Over hyped.
