Smiths Restaurant Wapping
Smith's, famous for fish, was initially established in 1958 and today offers fine dining facilities. Should you not find the time that you are looking for, please contact the restaurant directly as there may be availability.
Excellent food and service menu slightly pricey but accept this is London. If you get right table great views of shard/tower Bridge and walkie talky. All in all enjoyed might and would recommend
This is a lovely restaurant in a quiet Riverside location in Wapping.
Views of Tower Bridge, great service and excellent food more than justify the slightly higher price tag. Try it for lunch. You’ll want to come back for dinner.
Beautiful food and great staff. Had a table at 6.15 on a Friday, pleasantly surprised to find plenty of empty tables. Views of London from our table were superb with the British weather behaving!
A top restaurant. Great location and the best food.
Excellent as ever, great food and service. I’ve been to Smiths in Wapping many times and it’s always very good.
We arrived about 20 minutes early and was shown to a table for 2 one facing the wall. Considering we had booked a table 2 months in advance and it I mentioned it was a special occasion we were not very pleased, I explained to them that we would have liked a window table but they are for four people, eventually we were given a better table but felt a bit let down that we had to request this and management had to approve it. The staff, the food, the ambiance and the service were very good and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to our family and friends.
Great meal with a stunning view of the Thames. Smiths has never disappointed yet.
We really enjoy visiting Smiths particularly for the fish - outstanding! Just not so easy to get to as we are based in Shad Thames and you have to time the dash across Tower Bridge so as not to coincide with the bridge opening!!!
My wife and I have been to Smiths several times and took my brother and sister in law for their first visit .
Unfortunately on arrival my brother had had an accident to his arm whilst en route and needed a bandage . The staff were absolutely excellent and immediately gave bandage and tape to repair the damage and my brother was able to relax and enjoy his lunch. Many thanks to the staff for their attention. The food was absolutely fabulous and my brother had already rebooked a further visit.
If you're thinking about going here, do. It's a fantastic restaurant and experience.
Definitely make a reservation as the place is busy
It was fantastic dinner and wonder experience
We ate on a Wednesday when the set menu is available. There was a wide choice. As always the service was just right - sometimes you don't even notice your water being topped up. All of our dishes were excellent - especially the tandoori salmon which was cooked to perfection.
With the view of the Thames and London Bridge we rate Smith's as out No 1 Restaurant.
Beautiful food and great view a little bit expensive overall excellent
It’s our anniversaries destination of choice. Service beyond compare, stunning view, delicious food.
What is there not to like?
An out of the way location on the river, with some good views. A long established sea food restaurant that maintains high standards. Not the cheapest in the world and a surplus of 'suits' at lunchtime. Always find it weird that everybody knows its a fishy place - and has a steak!
Pleasantly understated food which was a throw back to a more comfort meal era, and away from chi chi small plates often encountered today. A river view was promised and delivered. The service was fine and it was possible to
A have a laugh over the odd minor mishap (two saltcellars but no pepper on the table). It was Sunday Lunchtime and the full room was very noisy. Indeed it was only on leaving that we discovered there was a pianist fighting a losing battle with the decibels. The wine list was small, and not unreasonably priced. Although spirits were available there were no liqueurs on offer so I had Lagavulin. Fine but not what I prefer with my double- espresso.
A return visit is planned.
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch to celebrate y Mums 102nd Birthday. We all had a lovely time.
Yet again another wonderful dining experience at Smiths.
The food never fails in quality and quantity.
The staff are very attentive and helpful
We arrived early but our table was ready and we were taken straight over. The service was fantastic and the food was phenomenal! We will definitely be back!
Can’t fault this restaurant. GREAT EVERYTIME ! Great value for money, great food and wine, will be back soon .
Smiths was a beautiful restaurant, the staff and food was amazing!
The only thing that let it down was that I was promised a birthday cake and it was never brought out and I couldn’t ask because it was supposed to be a surprise.
Food and service excellent, really good sized portions and great view over the river. Will definitely go back again.
Lovely food , views and service. A new favourite. Excellent value if you take the set menu
All four of us that dined for the third time at smiths we were welcomed warmly ,seated with a great view and totally spoiled by the service ,waiting staff are so very efficient polite and attentive.
The food as always was fantastic the Hake was pure perfection desert as always pure delight what’s more though is the pianist played Julie London and some prodigy riffs then elbow !
We didn’t stop smiling the only downside was leaving .
Big thanks to kitchen and waiting staff keep doing what you’re excellent at .
Will be back soon !
Amazing restaurant , superb views , excellent staff , food was superb and great value for money , really cannot fault it
Great food and location, The highlight of the day was the service, very warmth and professional. Well done Mourad and the team!!!
I attended recently and took advantage of the luncheon fixed price menu. Very good value for a London restaurant of this standing
Lovely birthday meal
I have been to smiths a few times now with company evenings. But I have promised my wife that I would take her there sometime and she was over the moon with the who;le experience and told me that was the best service and food that she has had so no doubt she wants to come again.
Smiths is one of my favourite restaurants it has so much going for it.Great food great location and very good service. The last time I came was probably about 6 months ago,and I did notice that the prices had increased quite a bit especially the deserts. But still value for money.
Great food, & even better service. Would 100% recommend
Food excellent as normal, restaurant unbearably hot. Found on way out bar area had air con certainly none in the part of restaurant we were in.
Exceptionally good restaurant in a beautiful location on the Thames. One of my favourites in London.
service was amazing ! would highly recommend to anyone ! food was 10/10! definitely be back
Excellent venue / location. Superb food served by friendly and efficient staff.
So much to like about this restaurant.
This was my first visit to smiths of wapping having tried the one in ongar. It didn’t disappoint- from the minute we arrived to the time we left the service was absolutely faultless - and the food-let’s say amazing doesn’t do it justice. We’ll be back soon!
Everything was brilliant. The only thing was, that we had an incorrect bill. More than 40 pounds on top. We did realize it in time. But we will come back because the food is so excellent.
Excellent in all respects particularly food, service and location.
Always have a wonderful meal at Smiths . Food is always perfect
Family meal with my brother in law from USA in memory of my sister (one of her favourite restaurants when in London)
