Terrific - food, embience and staff were incredible will definitely be back.
Excellent restaurant with lovely views of theShard and Tower Bridge
Best venue in London.
Outstanding service, outstanding food, fantastic location, you won’t find better
Having visited this restaurant several times it never fails to please. The food is always outstanding and the service is seamless. The staff are always exceptionally pleasant and help to make your time with them a memorable occcasion. If we are planning to eat in London Smiths always comes to the top of the list for choice. We have never had a bad experience and have recommended this venue to many people. Hoping we will be visiting again fairly soon.
Arrived at 12 noon for our 12.15pm table. Was seated promptly at a lovely table and was told we had the table until 2.30pm which was plenty of time. Our table of 5 was a mix of ordering from the set menu and off the a la carte menu but that was no problem. Oysters .... perfect and huge! Food was beautifully presented and our glasses were never empty. Waitress helped with wine selection and was very attentive bringing extra water and wine. We had 3 courses and had plenty of time and never felt rushed at all. A lovely lunch. Would highly recommend. If you're on a budget I'd highly recommend the set menu which has a huge choice. There are wines at all prices brackets. Also ask for a jug of tap water as it's free! Then just sit back and enjoy.
We had both been to the restaurant before and as usual it didn't disappoint and probably exceeded our expectations. We had a great table, lovely waitress, possibly the best vodka martini I've ever had and delicious food.
Excellent service and a lovely views from table I would highly recommend this restaurant and definitely visit again
Food was delicious but was a little disappointed we did not get a window seat. Manager (I think-tall dark slim man was a little rude about it) The waitress serving us was fantastic- cannot remember her name but she was an Italian girl. I would go back because it was one of the tastiest meal I have eaten at a restaurant
Had a fantastic time at Smiths, me and my husband was celebrating a wedding anniversary and so was my sister and her husband and we had a nice little surprise of a dessert.
Would definitely recommend.
Never disappoints. Superb food and great value. Will return.
Amazing food, great staff and cocktails.
We had a wonderful evening celebrating my husbands birthday, the food was absolutely delicious and such a large menu to choose from Just a bit too much ice in the Mojito our only criticism,
We treated some relatives to a night out, I was also a first timer at Smiths. We were very well attended and the food was amazing. Five star evening
Smiths was a favourite restaurant of ours, whilst living in Wapping. On returning for a few days in London, we booked an early dinner on a Tuesday evening. It was lovely to recognise many members of staff, which is a great sign of a restaurant that cares.
We were not disappointed with the excellent service, delicious food, and as always the wonderful view of Tower Bridge and the Shard.
Excellent food and excellent service, which is what I've come to expect at Smiths
Excellent food and service. We were made to feel very welcome and looked after very well. Only negative was seeing a waiter who wasn’t busy on his mobile phone.
SUPERBFOOD , SUPERB STAFF, EPIC VIEWS OF THE CITY ,RIVER ETC
Always excellent service and food
Highly recommend this Restaraunt
Really enjoyed the evening and the food was amazing like usual.
Unfortunately, the prices have increased ALOT! And we felt like we were really rushed !We had eaten our 3 course meal within an hour and still had half a bottle of wine left!
They did explain they needed the table back by 9pm, but it was the way they said it made it feel like we were not valued!
Second time we went and it was amazing and they remembered us. We would definitely recommend
The food was outstanding like it usually is. Great portion sizes and value for money with out a doubt. However the service was disappointing. We completely understood we had to give our table back after 2 hours but we were rushed throughout our stay. The courses cane out very quickly and we still had a good amount of time left. One 2 occasions staff tried to clear unfinished drinks and also my friends unfinished plate of main meal! This wasn’t nice and had put me off bringing new friends again, very unfortunate
Amazing as per usual only slightly let down by a frosty reception from the chap taking our coats. Other members of staff apologised on his behalf and luckily his bad day didn't ruin our birthday celebrations. This was the first time we tried the set menu and we weren't disappointed, the food excelled as always, amazing value, we will be back.
Would highly recommend. Food was lovely, service attentive but not overbearing. Ambience lovely and can’t wait to visit again.
We always try to visit Smith's every so often just to experience the wonderful service and excellent fish, seafood and wine selection. It never lets us down. We visited on Valentine's day and as usual everything was wonderful. Perfect lunch.
First class food and service every time we visit, consistency is the key they never disappoint.
Great food, excellent service and lovely views - the only minor negative was although our booking was at 12.00 noon we were not allowed to have a pre-drink in the bar beforehand as the restaurant did not open until 12.00 noon - I found the receptionist just a little too officious concerning this - and on a cold, wet February day could have been more flexible and accommodating.
We couldn't fault the whole experience ! From service to food, everything were outstanding.
Love smiths always great food very attentive staff and lovely view of the tower bridge
Great food, service & environment. I had the smoked duck from the set menu for starters and it was delicious, definitely recommend.
Restaurant with the X factor, great atmosphere with full range of customers from jeans and ‘T’ shirt wearers to smart business suits united by joy of top quality food and service.
My starter of mussels was big enough for a main course and the main course of skate and samphire was excellent. Nice touch getting my cheese and biscuits on a happy birthday plate complete with candle, attention to detail.
The service is friendly and very good, discrete but attentive, and all with a smile on faces.
Really enjoyed the meal and experience, and have I mentioned the view?
For fish it would be hard to beat in London, service, ambiance and space between the tables was perfect
Amazing service for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday. The waiter was very knowledgable with the menu. Food was amazing. Thank you!
Our Waiter was so attentive and very helpful but not intrusive - a perfect balance.
The food was amazing - the set menu was great value.
The front of house man could have been a little more friendly.
Fabulous evening though
Superb food and service, the place to go in London for a special celebration
Fabulous food and stunning setting
This restaurant never disappoints as usual the food was excellent with a wonderful view of Tower Bridge.
Lovely setting with a view of the Shard and Tower Bridge and wonderful food and service to complement. Warm crusty bread and butter accompanied our drinks and were followed by starters of tiger prawns, tempura prawns and soft shell crab, tuna and salmon sashimi and avocado, crab and prawn which were all first rate. The Smiths speciality halibut was really terrific accompanied by seasonal vegetables and others enjoyed the traditional fish and chips, turbot with dauphinois potatoes and spinach, and skate with new potatoes. Just two of our party managed to eat dessert- tart tartin and steamed pudding which they said were scrumptious. Service was attentive without being intrusive and my only complaint was the odd shaped plates for some dishes which didn't allow knifes and forks to stay where placed. We will return soon or visit the sister restaurant in Ongar which is also great.
we attended for Sunday afternoon dinner - Lovely food, great selection of wines cocktails etc and a warming atmosphere. Will defiantly be going back.
I took my partner out for his birthday and I’m so happy I chose this restaurant. The service was amazing from beginning to finish. The food was delightful and filling. And the view was amazing. Couldn’t fault the place
