Loved the food, service was great, leftovers were still delicious a day after. Had the baby back ribs, fell off the bones, just excellent service all round.
Great food as usual
One waitress not happy when we asked to sit at another table empty restaurant and wanted to sit us right next to the only other couple in the place ! .
Other waitress lovely
Been going to Smokey’s since it opened , great food great prices good portions
Had dinner here on a Friday night in April, not the busiest of nights but the food and service were fine. My ribs and chicken combo were great and suffice to say I struggled to finish the huge portions!
Thoroughly recommend you visit this place
The Brisket was bland and expensive. The chips / pork ribs were delicious. The pulled pork was ok. The Coleslaw one would expect to be homemade. The drinks weer ok. The service was good
Awesome meal, beef brisket was amazing! Lovely staff, good value. Highly recommend
Five of us ate here, starters were Nachos and a Chowder, Mains were vegetarian fajitas, quesadillas, and fish with chips, we also had some sides. Desserts, were American pancakes and Waffles. We had a lovely evening would definitely recommend.
Disappointed on this occasion. We visited Smokey’s when it first opened and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had smoked chicken fajitas which were melt-in-your-mouth good! Sadly this time the food was no where near as good. I went for the same meal and the chicken was definitely not smoked and was just covered in a gloopy sauce. It’s not pricey so you can only expect so much but it was mediocre. The portions are still enormous so perhaps they should reduce the portion size to try and achieve better quality. The service was friendly but the bar/entrance area looks a bit shabby now.
Service was swift and with a smile, food was hot and well presented, Good value for money
Would go there again
Attended based on recommendation from ex colleagues. Went for a date with my partner and had the BIG sharing platter between two. So much food. All delicious. Ribs were especially great. Would definitely recommend.
Was ok but we found the food portions are very large and the southern fried chicken burger had no southern fried flavour at all, was just fried breaded chicken.
Went there to celebrate an anniversary and the food left us feeling deflated ... The cocktails however were super yummy!
A recommendation by a friend in Brighton brought us to Smokey's. We were made welcome, the food was excellent with some authentic flavours. Staff were friendly and helpful despite being busy. Only downside was a very noisy table of diners celebrating St Patrick's Day. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing service and Delicious food! Brilliant price for the whole evening.
Fantastic meal again at Smokeys. Huge portions of tasty food representing good value for money.
Nice surroundings. Friendly staff. For special occasions a total winner.
Loved the pulled pork fajitas but tjeir pulled pork and beef brisket, awesome.
Good food large portions. Great ribs. Burgers. Excellent American diner
I was looking forward to visiting Smokeys before my daughters graduation, as it had been recommended by a friend. There were three of us for lunch, my son who had the brisket burger which he enjoyed and my daughter and I who each chose a salad and some nachos for naughtiness!
The food was ok, the atmosphere very lacking but the service was great, very attentive waitress.
The staff were really lovely and the food was amazing. I ordered a fajita and it was extremely delicious and well presented. Went for a valentines meal and was very lovely was very full afterwards
If you do go, make sure your hungry as the meals are large but so worth it. They will wrap up want you don't eat, so you can enjoy it at a later time. :-)
Great service and great food making a great evening out!
Apart from an extremely rowdy group of people at a table near us, it was great!
Nothing special or outstanding. Good location.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here - great food, I didn't expect it to be this good being an 'American Diner' but really enjoyed it - very generous portions too.
Beer that was off, cloudy full of sediment. Meal was very poorly presented, not that this would make any difference. Greasy cheap fries, with dried up bits of meat or smothered in sauce. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Won't be back.
We went to Smokey’s for my son’s 17th birthday treat (his choice). It was a real meat fest which is what he loves. Apparently it was very good and so much that we brought a doggie bag home!
I’m a non meat eater and had the bean burger - it was very good- I had coleslaw and pinto beans as sides. Coleslaw was delicious!
Fantastic food, highly recommended. Drinks fairly expensive at £7.95 per cocktail and price not quoted on menu which led to our drinks bill being as much as our food bill for 2 people with 2 drinks each. Overall though a fantastic night and cannot recommend the food at this place enough. Definitely be back.
Amazing food and amazing service can't wait to go back.
Service was very quick and the staff were polite. The restaurant is very clean.
There were lots of drunk people in there on the Saturday night making lots of noise but that's Brighton I guess.
My main complaint would be the brisket which was awful. I don't expect the drunk people noticed.
There is a relaxed feel to Smokeys. It's great for a pre-show dinner, especially for the Brighton Centre. The service is friendly and efficient. Food is burgers/and spicy Mexican - tastes good too and large portions. Good value for money.
Brilliant service and excellent food as always. I enjoy coming here every time.
Food not good. Ribs inedible. Coleslaw not homemade and tasteless
Service was slow when we arrived
Took ages to order drinks
Starters were fab .. chicken wings and nachos
The mains were disappointing
I had the brisket .. there was enough for two on my plate but it was bland and a bit dry
The homemade peppercorn sauce was like plaster .. really thick and quite tasteless
The beef ribs were smoked to the point of inedible.. shame as we had high expectations
Was impressed with how quick the food arrived after ordering, waiters were good seeing everything was ok. Food was so tasty and delicious, highly recommended and very close to the i360 and Brighton Centre for pre- concert food.
Our order wasn't put into the kitchen so after 30mins of waiting we had to leave to make it to a gig. They apologised and didn't charge us for our drinks.
It was very busy , so quite noisy. Asked for a glass of dry rose. Only had the choice of one. Which actually wasn't bad all. We ordered burgers with sides. All very nice. Quick, friendly, polite service.
Would come back
Great American Style BBQ food. Brisket, Chicken, Ribs! And stuffed Jalapeños wrapped in bacon ❤️
Lovely place to eat! Food - amazing. Very relaxed setting and very attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back with the kids. Definitely recommend.
superbb. really nice food and atmosphere, definately returning asap to try out the ribs!!
My friend had been before and said the food was amazing.. She again loved the food. I did not.. I found the chips to be very greasy, all I could taste was fat.. I found the burger to be lacking in flavour or seasoning. This said my friend had the same and found hers to be tasty. We didn't have starters or puddings. I found the roll looked better than it tasted. The staff were very very friendly. Portion size was huge. I love my food but left most if this.. I won't lie I had a very upset stomach for the next two days. Ruined my evening at the concert. I had high expectations and left disappointed.. Sorry.
We happened to have two family events in Brighton in the space of a week and ate at Smokey's both times. It was really good food and service. Food was fresh, large portions and filling. It is not a la carte, it is fajitas and burgers and it was refreshing to have a no frills but fast, polite and strong service to back it up.
We all thought it was good food at a good price and will be going back. Oh and also one of our meals ended up being a huge rush as we had run out of time and the team nailed it with fast service with a smile with no fuss.
Thanks everyone at Snokey's - we will be back again.
Went with our family including 3under 3yrs one being a 2 month old baby in a pushchair.
Tables are well spaced so plenty of room to accommodate a pushchair 2 high chairs around our table for 8.
Food was excellent and although a little in the pricey side the size of the meals are very big even the children meals which are good value at £4.95.
Service although a little slow the staff were friendly and efficient.
Went with my daughter's early on a Saturday night. Good table away from a party of 17 who arrived at the same time, good attentive service, tasty ribs and huge portions. Would go again.
