SOIF is a charming neighbourhood bistro, serving seasonal modern European food and an exciting
natural wine selection.
Please note that we do not take bookings for outside. We work with first arrived, first served
policy. Thank you for your understanding. The kitchen closes at 9am on Monday and 9.30pm during the rest of the week and at 3.30pm on Sunday.
We are opening on Mondays for Chicken & Wine Monday.
From Tuesday to Saturday, kitchen closes between 3pm and 6pm, however as we are still open for drinks, we can serve Charcuterie Selection or Cheese Selection during this period.

  • Wine Tasting: Austrian & German Wines

    An introduction on the delicious wines of Austria and Germany. Our Head Sommelier will select 5 wines from different regions of these two countries and talk you through them. There will be some snacks to accompany the wine-tasting. The event will start at 3:00pm and last for an hour and a half. Please note that spaces are limited and that tickets are not refundable.

    Wonderful evening at Soif. The food and wine lovely as always and the service outstanding. Wonderful Geordie waiter in particular really went above and beyond to look after us.

    Fabulous neighbourhood restaurant with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Lots of food options that I wanted to eat everything. Perfect for catching up with friends!

    We went on a Monday when there was a discount on bottles of wine which was great. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. My only complaint would be they only have roast chicken on a Monday (besides small plates). I was with a vegetarian man so it would have been nice if he had had more options for a 'main' course. Food was delicious though.

    The food at Soif is delicious. This is the second time I have eaten there and can't wait to dine there again. There are some interesting and delicious wines as well. If you are not familiar with them just ask Leo who will explain everything. David

    Food was excellent. Tasty and portions were fair. Slightly pricey for the large plates. Service was very pleasant but slow and slightly unapologetic for delays. Varied menu and all dishes consistent. Wine was good and fairly priced.

    Always a lovely place for our Monday date night with my husband. The service is great and the wine choice is extensive. They have a lovely terrace, so we can even bring our dog when the weather is good (large dogs like our Lab are not allowed inside). Now, let’s talk about the pièce de résistance – the rotisserie chicken. It’s a dish that transcends the ordinary, with its flavorsome and succulent meat. The jus is a smooth symphony that enhances every bite, creating a harmonious blend with the perfectly cooked fries (there is also a side of a leafy salad for those who want to balance the fries). It’s not just a meal; it’s a perfect dinner.
