Solita Northern Quarter Ratings and Reviews
Food was great, had the Once in a lifetime burger. For starter had the ribs, wings and things. Rib's were a bit bland, along with the wings but still enjoyable. The burger was great. Only issue is the seats, if you don't secure the booth side you'll be in pain at the end, especially if you have issues with your lower back as I do. Other than that, nice atmosphere, they text you once the table is available, staff are all friendly. Not overly expensive. Would definitely recommend.
I had heard rave reviews about Solita's and was excited to try it out. Booking was very easy and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We brought a cake for my friend's birthday and they helped us surprise her, including candles and singing happy birthday to her (much to her happy embarrassment!) The food was outstanding. I wanted to show my boyfriend (from a small village down south) the quality and quirkiness of food in Manchester and Solita's hit the spot perfectly. We shared the Mac and Cheese Deep Fried Balls and were impressed. I had the Jack Daddy burger, which for someone who can be a fussy eater was brilliant. I wish I had upgraded my fries and will be doing that next time. I'd definitely return to Solita's again and again! The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back, perfect for Saturday night dining out with friends. For the price, the food was amazing value. We'll be back again!
By far the best burger I have ever eaten! I went for the new "drop it like its hot" and it did not disappoint! We were a group of 6 and not one of us left a crumb! Service was great, atmosphere was buzzing, we will definitely be back!
**highly recommend the pizza topped fries!!
I went with 8 other people, we were an hour late and they kept the table for us, which was amazing! The food was incredible and was brought out to us quickly. It's not too expensive, especially for the amount of food you get. The waiter we had was so friendly and, due to it being my birthday, brought me a free dessert and sang Happy Birthday. I couldn't recommend Solitas enough! They made my 16th Birthday even better.
Booked online, text me back to confirm. On arrival greeted and shown to our table downstairs. I requested a high chair and it was there ready, our waiter was fab. Didn't get his name but he was very attentive, made lots of suggestions for our meal and look his time with all 10 of us. Food was fab, desserts are a must... had a great time and the older members of our family really enjoyed the food and the surroundings.
Had a fab experience in Solita on Saturday for my birthday meal. The service was fast and the food was lovely, couldn't fault anything. Food is reasonably priced but the portion sizes are good so it is definitely worth it! Will definitely recommend this restraurant in the future.
10 of us went for a birthday meal on Sunday afternoon and had an excellent time. Tom, our waiter, was amazing and really went above and beyond for us. The birthday boys even got a free cocktail and cake for their birthday!
Highly recommend a visit to this Solita, as usual the food was excellent and the service was outstanding.
Solita is my favourite restaurant in Manchester. The food here is amazing but not for the faint-hearted! Their spring roll cheeseburgers taste just like McDonalds cheeseburgers but even better. I think £15 for the amount of food you get is also really good.
Booked this restaurant for 8 people on Friday night - service was great! Food took a little long to come but we were given a round of drinks as an apology. Also my fiancé was given another free drink as the dinner was booked for his birthday!! Food was really good - large portions and everyone really enjoyed it! S'mores dessert was a massive hit! VIP discount was appreciated also! Would definitely recommend here :) and we will be back next time we are in Manchester!
I went to Solita for my birthday with 5 of my friends and food was brill. Didn't have to wait particularly long and the people serving us were happy and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I would defo recommend to anyone who loves a good burger and a resturant with a good and slightly quirky atmosphere!
We came here for a get together and even though there were ten of us the service was really quick and efficient. The food was amazing and the place is quite small so it feels cosy. Staff were also really helpful to the friend who brought her baby and needed a high chair and space for her buggy. I would definitely come back here and recommend.
Good menu, great food and lots of cocktails to chose from. Service could have been quicker but it was a busy Saturday night so not entirely unexpected. Really good vibe and party type atmosphere, seemed to be lots of people celebrating which was quite nice. Didn't like the service charge added so we paid the tip we wanted to pay regardless.
Most of the menu is familiar food from the Americas with their own spin on traditional dishes.
We had burger/hot dog type dishes. All were tasty and filling. The price of the burger menu was quite high with the 'Once in a lifetime' burger £18.50 and didn't even include any sides? This burger is way over priced. £14 would be more of a reasonable price. None of the dishes included sides. The seafood skewers did come with salted potatoes and salad. I guess its because of city centre location the overheads of the restaurant are higher. The service was good and ambience ok. As the bill payer I would have preferred 20% lower bill. Would we return? probably not, mainly for the price of the menu. A tip......don't buy starters.
We booked for 10 and arrived a little early but Solita were still able to accommodate us. They were really busy so despite best efforts of our server the service wasn't great. They missed one starter altogether and then the mains didn't arrive together either. The food was as good as ever though and I'm sure I'll be back, maybe not on a Friday night though.
