Very friendly staff and pleasant surroundings, food was enjoyable would recommend for casual diners
Third visit here with different groups of people (we live about an hour away from Manchester or we would eat here far more regularly). The food has always been excellent and service second to none. One of our party is vegetarian and had no problems finding something he enjoyed to eat. I always suggest here if we have any friends visiting Manchester and wonder where to go for food.
Service staff were nice however service wasn't great. Plates from starters weren't cleared before mains came, had to ask for then to be taken away and ask for new cutlery twice, missed one person ordering for both food and drinks, Drinks took a long time to come.
Appreciate busyness but still expect standard tasks like removal of plates to be done.
Table was round a back corner so was away from the rest of the patrons, nice and private but hard to grab attention of staff for drinks.
Some food came with mayo which wasn't stated on the menu.
Staff were nice nonetheless and food was as good as usual.
Very good meal. Very busy due to the great weather which slowed down the bar service. Drinks arrived after the food even though they were ordered first. That wouldn’t stop me going again though.
We we’re well looked after, a great evenings Americana
As always, our Solita experience was great. The service was spot on and the food was excellent and came out really quickly for a group of 8 of us. Can’t tecommend enough.
A great restaurant. Excellent menu for food and drink. Well worth a visit.
The food was fantastic but unfortunately one of the serving staff was incredibly rude as we hadn't understood that you had to point out you wanted the meal deal and she decided to tell us off for quite a while about the fact we hadn't done this when we questioned the bill. Means we will not go to this venue again, but would be happy to go to a Solita restaurant elsewhere.
Food was so good! Couldn’t fault a thing, will definitely be back
I visited Solitas quite a few times 3/4 years ago and have been on and on about it to my fiancé since the day we met. We visited Solitas on Sunday and I was nervous that for three years of ranting about this place it was going to be crap, well it was even better than I remembered. I had a French double dip sandwich and honestly if I’m ever on death row, this is what I’ll ask for as my last meal. Didn’t disappoint at all, so much so we are going again in a few weeks time. 🤤✌🏼The photo is of their chicken burger that my fiancé had.
fast and friendly service, good menu choice and great burgers
Great as usual, we had a large group for a birthday gathering and we were seated quite promptly and had additional seating added as we had more guests. Atmosphere was good and the meals were served quite quickly.
We had a great time and the food was lovely - I had steak which was amazing :) Service was a bit slow as we were downstairs. Overall a good experience
Excellent vibes, food always good and quick efficient service.
Great food and service
Everything about our visit was fantastic. The place was busy but it didn't detract from the experience at all... You could hear each other, the waiting staff were attentive but not too much. And the food was amazing! Would definitely go there again.
Great experience especially for kids
We were a party of 10 sat downstairs on a high table so a very obvious party. We felt our server instantly didn’t want to have to deal with us. Half of our party arrived first and so he asked us if we wanted drinks. We hadn’t looks at drinks as the rest of party wasn’t there and as we went for the menu he just walked off. A different waitress came back when the whole party was there and took all our drink orders. She then came back to take starters and mains. Our starters arrived and were lovely. When our mains arrived they took our starter plates at the same time as giving us our mains (it was busy however so we didn’t mind at all) 9/10 of us enjoyed our mains however one guest ordered a steak rare and had to ask for 3 sharper knives as she couldn’t cut through it. She managed to drag a piece off with her fork and didn’t enjoy the steak at all. She could pick up a small part of her steak and the whole steak would dangle from where she had tried and failed to cut it. The server came to take our plates and we asked for the bill. He took the steak first. When he came back someone else in our group just let the server know that she wasn’t happy. He didn’t ask for any money off just simply let him know. The server was very hostile saying there’s nothing he could do now as the food was gone - totally understandable but his attitude was not. He had been very abrupt with our table all night. He said we should of said something sooner and not now. The guest explained he wasn’t trying to be funny just simply wanted to let them know something wasn’t right if the chef had wondered why she hadn’t eaten her meal. He left the table after clearly becoming annoyed with us again. We received the bill from another server then was left to discuss it. We then sat for over ten minutes waiting (at this point the place was emptying and as I said we was sat up high and very obvious. The servers bagan cleaning tables next to us that where already clean. We felt we was being ignored.
Very good service. The Christmas burger was ace and the atmosphere quiet but cosy. Big size plates
Excellent food in NQ way
The Christmas Burger and the Big Manc were worth the visit alone
Drinks were incorrect on arrival. One starter arrived when everyone else had finished because they 'forgot to make it'. Asked for medium steak got well done. Compared to this time last year the service has definitely gone down hill
Solita were amazing loves the food and were brilliant with my friends who were lactose intolerant and allergic to fish. Would highly recommend for a group get together or just a fantastic place to eat. Thankyou solita.
Lovely food and great atmosphere - we will return to take on another “big” burger 👍🏻
Food was great, had the Once in a lifetime burger. For starter had the ribs, wings and things. Rib's were a bit bland, along with the wings but still enjoyable. The burger was great. Only issue is the seats, if you don't secure the booth side you'll be in pain at the end, especially if you have issues with your lower back as I do. Other than that, nice atmosphere, they text you once the table is available, staff are all friendly. Not overly expensive. Would definitely recommend.
We came here for a get together and even though there were ten of us the service was really quick and efficient. The food was amazing and the place is quite small so it feels cosy. Staff were also really helpful to the friend who brought her baby and needed a high chair and space for her buggy. I would definitely come back here and recommend.
Great meal, just too busy for the amount of staff on. It was difficult at times to catch a staff members eye to order more drinks etc. Food was outstanding, as always. X
Good menu, great food and lots of cocktails to chose from. Service could have been quicker but it was a busy Saturday night so not entirely unexpected. Really good vibe and party type atmosphere, seemed to be lots of people celebrating which was quite nice. Didn't like the service charge added so we paid the tip we wanted to pay regardless.
Most of the menu is familiar food from the Americas with their own spin on traditional dishes.
We had burger/hot dog type dishes. All were tasty and filling. The price of the burger menu was quite high with the 'Once in a lifetime' burger £18.50 and didn't even include any sides? This burger is way over priced. £14 would be more of a reasonable price. None of the dishes included sides. The seafood skewers did come with salted potatoes and salad. I guess its because of city centre location the overheads of the restaurant are higher. The service was good and ambience ok. As the bill payer I would have preferred 20% lower bill. Would we return? probably not, mainly for the price of the menu. A tip......don't buy starters.
Good food, prompt service & great value for money.
I had heard rave reviews about Solita's and was excited to try it out. Booking was very easy and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We brought a cake for my friend's birthday and they helped us surprise her, including candles and singing happy birthday to her (much to her happy embarrassment!) The food was outstanding. I wanted to show my boyfriend (from a small village down south) the quality and quirkiness of food in Manchester and Solita's hit the spot perfectly. We shared the Mac and Cheese Deep Fried Balls and were impressed. I had the Jack Daddy burger, which for someone who can be a fussy eater was brilliant. I wish I had upgraded my fries and will be doing that next time. I'd definitely return to Solita's again and again! The atmosphere was relaxed and laid back, perfect for Saturday night dining out with friends. For the price, the food was amazing value. We'll be back again!
Great burgers and veggie options. We booked for a friend's stag meal and it was great
Amazing food; as always! The staff were friendly and attentive, unlike some other restaurants in the NQ. Food came quickly and was of beautiful quality. Cannot wait to return soon!
Booked a table for 11 people see did a pre order, absokutelybfantastic food and service. Everyone got their food at the same time cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back 😀
Busy Saturday evening, took ages for anyone to take our drinks order. Food was ok but nothing special. End of service we had chase for the bill and then pay at the bar as no one came to take payment
Great food and atmosphere, group of 11 for late lunch, ordering was quick and simple food delivered quickly and hot which for a big group was really well done!
Been to solita a few times now and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. On this occasion we visited for my sons birthday. The children really enjoyed their meals as did we. Excellent value for money
By far the best burger I have ever eaten! I went for the new "drop it like its hot" and it did not disappoint! We were a group of 6 and not one of us left a crumb! Service was great, atmosphere was buzzing, we will definitely be back!
**highly recommend the pizza topped fries!!
We booked for 10 and arrived a little early but Solita were still able to accommodate us. They were really busy so despite best efforts of our server the service wasn't great. They missed one starter altogether and then the mains didn't arrive together either. The food was as good as ever though and I'm sure I'll be back, maybe not on a Friday night though.
Food was delicious, childrens portions were a little small for the older end and for the price. Could also have done with some healthy stuff!
I went with 8 other people, we were an hour late and they kept the table for us, which was amazing! The food was incredible and was brought out to us quickly. It's not too expensive, especially for the amount of food you get. The waiter we had was so friendly and, due to it being my birthday, brought me a free dessert and sang Happy Birthday. I couldn't recommend Solitas enough! They made my 16th Birthday even better.
