We often go as a couple but on this occasion 21 of us went for a meal on the night before my daughter's wedding. We were requested to pre-order and everything went very smoothly, the service was great, food hot and everything done with a smile. Couldn't ask for more MoreOpenTable Diner -
We were taken to our table but no drinks order was taken. The waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order and had we ordered drinks? That process took a long time considering it wasn't busy at all. The drinks also took a long time to come. Meals were average nothing special. Chilli had grisly bits. Chips weren't cooked quite enough. Mushy peas looked like they had been warmed up for ages they were very dry. Overall very disappointing. Had a gourmet card which I mentioned when we arrived didn't realise until I got home to find only 20% taken off the bill when it should've been 25%. That just added insult to injury. Will not be rushing back there. MoreOpenTable Diner -
First time I have ever been here and I must admit I liked it overall. The service was good, our waitress India is amazing. Always smiling and happy to help, she was always around when we wanted to order more. I like there meal deals which is really cost effective. Would recommend to book a table first as it can get super busy. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Duende is what happens when a local food hero gets his hands on great West Country produce. Working with seasonal, hyper local produce, Chef Tim Zekki brings food that is casual in style, and fine in provenance. The vibe is modern and unpretentious.
Zekki’s food borrows from his Cypriot childhood, with influences from the wider Mediterranean, and beyond, using some of the best produce to be found in the local surrounding countryside. The menu is complemented with wines, spirits and local beers.
Expect the eclectic.

Here at Toby Carvery Taunton, we believe there's only one way to do our beloved British roast – and that's properly. Every spud is checked by hand and ruffled for extra crunch. All of our meat is slow-cooked and basted to succulent perfection. And our Yorkshires are freshly made in our kitchens and served crisp, fluffy and piping-hot to your plate. That's what makes us the home of the roast.More
