Pre/post Theatre
This branch of Spaghetti House has a very useful location in Argyll Street near Oxford Circus, perfect for lunches, after-work meals, shopping breaks, and pre- or post-theatre bites as it’s just a few doors from the London Palladium. The menu is bursting with classic Italian dishes, from bruschetta and fried calamari to lasagne, risottos and traditional Scaloppa alla Milanese. Food is served all day till late and there’s a very good children’s menu to please your own bambini. There is always a warm Italian welcome, a timeless menu, great wines, relaxed ambience and super Italian coffee.

Good Italian which although being chain feels authentic and friendly. Waiters are Italian and attention to detail was great.

The food is really good but the ambience was not so relaxing. A group of friends were playing videos in high volume and none of the members of the staff asked them to stop.
I head to turn my headphone on to try to enjoy my meal.

We needed to eat quickly pre-theatre (both having been delayed at work) and Spaghetti House coped very well with our wanting three courses in under an hour. Service was friendly and helpful and the food prompt and good quality. The restaurant was a little crowded and the tables are quite close together, so I'm not sure I would have wanted a romantic dinner a deux there, but they did what we wanted of them very well indeed.

The manager welcomed us cheerfully, using my first name, despite the place being very busy. A table was reserved. The waitress was equally helpful. We all had pasta which was plentiful, tasty and hot. Despite being the cheapest, the wine was decent and good value. In fact the whole eating experience was super...good job because I booked it for my friends!

A 'night before' booking for a pre-theatre meal and we were pleasantly surprised. Both of us had pasta and no starter due to being in a rush, but rest of the menu looked equally appealing.

Puttanesca spaghetti was delicious - packed with flavour. Salmon taglietelle was subtle and a treat.

Waiting staff were attentive, food arrived quickly, bill was produced without delay.

We would come again!

Whilst I appreciate this is a chain restaurant, the experience was not a great one. Food to be fair was genuine and flavoursome, but tables are so close together you're dining with everyone and the service was disjointed and functional. For the money, I guess it was reasonable, but nothing to write home about. To end on a positive, the food was tasty.

It is what it says on the tin. We went for a pre theatre supper, both food and service were good.

We were attending an evening performance at the London Palladium, so location was perfect. The staff were very welcoming, we arrived early enough to be offered a choice of table, food was served promptly and was very good. Considering location, prices were very good.

A very good choice of restaurant for pre-theatre. Always busy but good and friendly service, with delicious food. Generous portions - will return when we can, as very good value.

Wouldn't be my first choice of eatery, but if you want somewhere quick and cheap pre-theatre, it's ideal

Nice place for an informal lunch or dinner but can get crowded...pre-booking is essential. Food was good and staff was friendly. Had good vegetarian options as a friend of ours was vegetarian.

I got there early and the staff seated me in a table by the window and offered refreshment while I waited for my friends. Once the party was all there the staff were very attentive, very polite and although not intrusive always on hand to deal with any requests. A very nice pre-theatre meal and I would recommend it to anyone going to the Palladium which is very close by.

Great, cheerful service and reliable food. Although the appearance is a liitle chain-like, the service and food are convivial and personal.

I was going with family to the Palladium and I got caught on a late running train into town. The restaurant happily served by Mum and partner and then kept checking with them when I was due and had my meal on the table within minutes of me walking in the door. Service was really outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Food was great - perfect for a quick meal and dashing out the door. There were a number of kids in there too, on other tables and they also seemed well catered for. All round - recommended.

The food was pretty good - it's not the best Italian you'll ever have but there is little to complain about. There were six of us and most of us had something different and sampled each others and it all was good. We had a child with us and they were great with her - giving her pens & a colouring book etc. The arrabiatta could have done with being a bit spicier - but that is my personal taste. The pizza's were good too. We were going to the theatre virtually next door so it was very convenient.
The service was very good but the waiters should perhaps bare in mind when they are speaking amongst themselves that we customers may also speak Italian!! Decent food, that won't break the bank

Went here as a couple pre show dinner. Before I'd had a chance to say who I was, was shoved in a dingy corner and my husband was trapped in once others arrived. I noticed they didnt take notice of our reservation and a 'reserved table' stayed that way all evening.

Ordered my usual favourite spaghetti bolognese, but ther was hardly any beef, mainly watery tomato.

Huge plate, but shame about the sauce.

My wife and i visited Bertorelli's in Argyll Street, London W1 - 6pm 21-March. We arrived early - no problem - the service was attentive, fast and the food of a high quality. I had Carbanara and my wife had the salmon - both dishes were large and, accompnied by decently priced wines, we had a nice time. Our only "grumble" was that the tables were too close (to what i'm used to) to the tables either side. As a pre-theatre meal, the quality and service, we'll retur

This is a great place! Bertorelli - Spaghetti House is just by Liberty's London on the corner and it's a sweet little Italian restaurant - perfect for lunch and dinner. I had the grilled mushroom starter which was lovely and then the clam and mussel stew, which was AMAZING! I could definitely have eaten more of that! Then I had the Coppa di Saranno ice cream - so yummy again! Great value too! We ended up sitting there for 3 hours but they weren't pushy at all!
