Excellent selection of top quality food with drinks included. Had a great table with a view of the lake. The prime rib is worth mentioning specifically as it was great. Desserts are much improved over a few years ago. Well done!

Having a single flower in the washroom was an elegant touch which added o the evening. Our server was first class.

This was a Valentine’s Day dinner. I had ordered the 10oz Strip loin and my wife asked for the 8oz Beef Tenderloin. Both asked for medium rare cook. Mine came pretty close to raw in the middle. Now, luckily for me I can handle that. However, when asked for medium rare at a very nice restaurant I expect the cook to be more precise. They also brought a dish to our table that we did not order. The waitress said “it’s free” so I didn’t bother mentioning the cook of the steak. Overall, the meal was OK. A bit disappointing when you’re expecting a top end meal.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day with a lovely lunch at Spencers. As always, the view and the food were exceptional.

Returned to Spencer's after a long hiatus and found the food and service to be vastly better than on our last couple of visits more than two years ago. We will be back.

Our server was excellent and attentive.

However, we had to wait a very long time for our food. It was a Sunday evening and it was not very busy.

The food was good, could have been hotter when brought to the table. Overall a good experience.

This is my third time going to Spencer’s at the Waterfront for Sunday brunch buffet. There is a good selection of food, like oyster, crab legs, mussels, waffle station, egg benedict etc. However, comparing to the first time I was here a few years ago, I feel like they used to have a hot food station with beef Wellington and other entrees.

There is a two hours seating limit, and previously I never had issues before. However this time my reservation was a 1030 and by 12:00, the manager came by to tell us that we were already over our 2 hrs limit. She told us that we can take our time but there are people waiting. After that, we just felt rushed and couldn’t quite enjoy the meal as much.
Based on this experience, I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon.

Three of us ordered the Risotto and very disappointed with the portion size and the price.
We spoke to our server and he was very understanding and sent over the manager Jon.
Jon did bring us another bowl of risotto to share and adjusted the price. The dish was definitely over priced for the portion served.
We have met at Spencer's many times over the years and usually happy with our meal.

Service was great However the food although good was so minute in portion for the price. Having eaten in restaurants all over southern Ontario and most of Europe they need to look at the value of the portion they serve.

Our experience was OK... nothing great yet nothing bad. Our service was standard which is the type of service I’ve had all 3 times dining at Spencer’s. I suppose I expect a little more.

The music was far too loud especially for a Sunday evening.
The food was not up to the standard of a couple of years back. The Caesar salad was supplement with Kale and lacked garlic. The Roast beef was overcooked and fatty.

Fantastic variety of foods and the fact that the more popular items were replaced at least twice while I was there attest to their freshness. Really liked the flavour of the carved ham which all my dining companions remarked on. Excellent protein selection and really appreciate the flavourful Mimosas.

My girlfriend and I went for Sunday brunch and were not impressed. The seafood was amazing, great selection and quality. However, the rest of the food in the buffet was cold and underwhelming. Obviously at a buffet the food is not going to be freshly hot, but nothing was even warm. Very disappointing considering how expensive the meal is. Service was great, nice venue, but the food puts a big asterisk on the meal.

Sunday brunch is always enjoyable at Spencer's. Great service as always. The cold food section, waffles and made to order omelettes/crepes were very good. Large dessert selection, but a lot of cookies and the required chocolate fondue fountain. Would have preferred a selection of more decadent cakes even if they had to take away some of the cookies/bars . They did have at least one gluten free option. The mini coconut cream pie was delicious!

Wednesday night for professionally shucked oysters and some chardonnay was amazing! Great service, loved the food and so delighted to see talented local Chef Matteo in the kitchen! I tried the scallops tagliatelle and was very impressed. Definitely going to make this a regular occasion.

Spencer’s is a beautiful restaurant with a great view of the lake. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. I would say that the food lacks vision for the money that you are paying. My Branzino appeared to be just steamed and it was bland. My plate came with between 4 and 6 small pieces of vegetables including one thin slice of a brussel sprout hidden under the fish and some fancy but likely canned mushrooms (judging from the texture and lack of flavour) around the outside. The cocktail menu was uninspired for a restaurant trying to present itself as a 5 star. A meal for two with one drink each, two entrees and two side dishes will range around $130. I think you can do better in the area.

Everything was excellent about our experience at Spencer’s including the surrounding area with lights and skating. Parking could have been a problem as full when we entered but it was only a matter of minutes before a spot became available. A great place for special occasions but otherwise very expensive if just going for something to eat.
