Spice Merchant - Beaconsfield
The varied menu consists of much-loved traditional Indian pot dishes, such as Bhuna and Jalfrezi as well as an impressive selection of modern and creative dishes to tantalise your taste buds and expand your knowledge of all things Indian.
Whilst visiting, why not take a peek at our large Indian garden? With three separate seating areas and enough space to comfortably accommodate 140 people, it is ideal for al fresco summer dining and private parties.
For those who would prefer to dine inside, rest assured that our conservatory and restaurant are garden facing, providing you with a scenic view to complete your dining experience.
Throughout December our famous marquee will be partly covering our garden to provide guests with a private party venue amongst nature!
Great food but limited hours at lunch. When arrived the kitchen was about to close and table was for 130pm.
Lovely evening at Spice Merchant.
Food was delicious and generous portions. Staff were all lovely, friendly and polite. Defintely going back.
This is usually a lovely restaurant however they were not open at 5.00, the restaurant was cold and the wrong food was served it was also very expensive for what we got.
Best restaurant we have been to in a while.
Great service and a real nice feel to it
Highly recommend :)
The food is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice ambience. Get there early. Busy high street on the weekends, give yourself time to park.
Amazing food as always - friendly staff and great wine!
Really lovely restaurant. We have been here several times and the staff are always very friendly!
The same as last visit, food excellent, service very good and some good banter as well.
We couldn’t eat everything so had the food packed up and we ate it two days later and was sufficient for another meal and tasted as good as freshly cooked. I know some reviews have said it’s expensive but the quality and taste and obviously it fed us twice, the cost was good for us.
As ever, greeted with a smile, excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and wonderful staff.
What’s not to like?
Lovely setting, service was very good. A lot of the food was good but the mains such as the chicken korma felt very rubbery and over cooked. A shame as have had great food there before, but today value for money given the quality of food wasn’t great
Absolutely wonderful, beautiful venue, delicious food and welcoming staff.
Great food! A little pricey. A little noisy. Thank you.
Love coming to Spice Merchant. Staff are always welcoming and food is delicious 👍Johals
Excellent varied choice of dishes. Service attentive although waiters did not address the noise issue. A group of men on a table nearby had a lot to drink and were in a party mood. They're entitled to that but it meant the three of us literally couldn't hear ourselves talk and my husband went home with a headache that lasted til the next day. This would make use think twice about returning as the waiters clearly prioritised this table (who undoubtedly were bringing in money) over ours...and our evening was definitely spoilt.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Spice Merchant! Little expensive but food & service is great, will definitely be going back!
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Spice Merchant for our daughter’s 16th birthday. The food was amazing, particularly the seafood platter and the very enormous onion bhaji - our son was delighted ! The staff were really attentive and ensured our daughter felt special. We’ll be back really soon. Keen to try out the afternoon tea that others had and looked really appealing.
Had my 50th here with 14 people. Amazing food, amazing service. Lovely lovely staff who really know how to make you feel welcome.
Not the cheapest place to eat but if you want quality food this is the place to come to amazing food
Very good service, excellent food , a good wine list and an overall good experience.
Service very slow and food very overpriced
Amazing food , the food is well marinated with great taste , service is amazing , Best Indian food around 😋
Well spaced tables and bright area to sit in. Food was very good would highly recommend the starters and will certainly have a larger selection next time.
Great service and wonderfully inventive menu. We had a stellar evening
My husband and i had a wonderful anniversary lunch at spice merchant. The food was delicious especially the salmon tikka, and the staff were friendly as always.
Loved their Indian food and wait staff was very friendly. Will come back!
Not really fair to judge the restaurant by the experience of eating in a draughty and at times shaking temporary structure.
Food was very good but I felt quite pricey.
Probably would be a better experience when things get back to normal.
We were told within 20 mins of arriving at that we need to order by 2:30 (having arrived at 2pm) as the staff leave - questioned why we were allowed to book for 2pm.
Asked for bottle of Prosecco to celebrate what was my mother’s birthday. Told after a search that they were completely out as they had a wedding event the night before - closest thing was then a £50+ bottle of champagne mix
Made clear orders for drinks but they were wrong.
Bot a grey outside ambiance with a rickety marquee which had been put.
Wine delayed to the table until midway through meal as the waiter was seeing off another couple who’d finished their meal.
Only thing that saved things was that the food was actually very good.
I’d not go back until they are fully open and able to cater for their guests in the right way.
Really lovely restaurant. The team were incredibly friendly and there was some great banter! The food was excellent. They managed to accommodate, us even though it was busy and at short notice. Well done!
I was made to feel as the restaurant was doing ME a favour for dining outside!
Lovely evening, staff were friendly and food was very nice
Great food always nice outdoor area super friendly staff
Luckily i read other’s reviews before i went so i knew what to look out for! £20 worth of drinks were added to the bill even though we didnt order them as well as a starter we didnt order but managed to get that off after a little bit of back and forth with the manager. Also were rushed to order when we said we werent ready we were kind of told to just order now as the waiter hovered around. Then we were waiting for everyone to receive their meal we were told to eat now by the waiter which i thought was strange but not sure if it was with rude intention. Overall i wouldnt go again and prices are much higher for standard indian food. Not worth the stress and hassle.
Lovely garden with patio heaters making outdoor dining possible. As always great food and service.
Really delicious food, beautiful scenery in the garden. Service was very good, attentive and polite. I will definitely be returning.
Tough bits in the monk fish dish and disappointing lollipop chicken. A shame you don’t do a smaller plate for a child as well as it’s very expensive to buy a full meal for a child
First time visiting spice merchant in beaconsfield and the food was incredible. The staff were very friendly and polite.
Covid measures were in place.
First meal out since lockdown restrictions eased, sadly it was just a average meal out. The weather was too cold for outdoor dining and the restaurant did not have enough outdoor heaters which is a big shame as they should cater for this given we can only dine outside socially at the moment. I was also disappointed that our serving plates were dirty and had to point this out twice.
Enjoyable lunch in the restaurant garden. Vegetables cooked beautifully, not over cooked
Lovely garden setting with heaters, though still needed coats (it was a really cold evening). Very attentive and professional service, delicious food, definitely a cut above. Prices to match the higher quality, but worth it for a treat.
Amazing experience - I am already looking at going back! Food and service was 10/10. Thank you for a lovely evening
