Always friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Stunning room and decor. A firm favourite.
I loved my visit to Spring Restaurant. I went specifically because I was interested in the Scratch Menu. This is a daily menu created using waste / surplus food. My dining companions preferred to eat from the a la carte menu. I was told that I couldn't have the Scratch Menu as it was only served to the whole table. This to me is crazy and takes away from everything the Scratch Menu is about and makes me feel that the Spring Restaurant's commitment to it's principles is tokenistic.
We had lunch here after visiting an exhibition at Somerset House.
Lovely venue & delicious meal, staff were very attentive. It all made for a lovely day out on Good Friday.
Wonderful and creative. The scratch menu is great value. Wonderful attentive service as well. We will return
One of the best restaurants in London
Spring was an excellent location for a date night. With a rather feminine and modern aesthetic, we felt very comfortable from the moment we sat down. Delicious cocktails and a great selection of wine. The only critique was that when our mains arrived the lamb was just warm rather than hot, otherwise we found everything very pleasing. The rhubarb tart was a highlight on the trip!
A beautiful setting, airy and light. Good service and lovely fresh food.
Wonderful meal in a beautiful room. Very inventive. Warm and attentive service. A treat.
Excellent experience - had the set lunch which turned out to be good value. The food was delicious and the service was understated but very attentive. The environment is very light and relaxing and we spent a very pleasant 3 hours there. I would definitely recommend it, and will go again.
Spring is a real breath of fresh air with excellent food that is served by friendly and attentive waiters in the most beautiful ambience. The chef treats simple food with enough touch and attention to create a little piece of art, without overdoing it. At the same time, the Spring team reminds us that we have to stop wasting food, as a part of being climate change conscious. Well done team Spring.
The Scratch menu was very good value at £20 for three courses. Wine expensive but can get a bottle of Spanish red for £27. The service was impeccable and the restaurant decor is beautiful. Will be going back to try the A La Carte.
We are regular diners at Spring because it is great value for money, tasty, well-cooked food served by hard working, generous hosts in a genial atmosphere.
Wonderful - in every way. A delightful treat on a Friday afternoon!
Great food and atmosphere
One of my favourite restaurants in London and a massive fan of Skye’s cooking. This time around it was sadly not the meal for me, guinea fowl was below par, dish looked odd and taste/execution fine. My wife’s halibut was divine, awash with colour and taste. Service was good but too attentive and this a tad frustrating. Finer balance required. I will return
Super food and very attentive service
They noticed we had a special occasion (a double birthday!) and were delightful with the recognition
Very good value for such excellent food
Lovely staff but a little odd to have run out of potatoes by the 7.30 pm dining slot! One of my group asked when ordering to have the deep fried potatoes in the monkfish main course replaced with boiled potatoes. The monkfish arrived with the deep fried potatoes and no explanation and when we queried it we were told that unfortunately there were no boiled potatoes left!
Service just right. Good wine choices
Gorgeous venue, beautiful flower arrangements, however the food was a bit of a let down. If you’re after sophisticated meals, this one isn’t for you.
Everything was excellent from entry to exit. Well done
Good food, attentive service, beautiful building, but it’s massively overpriced.
lovely to look at and good service. delicious wine as well.
We went for a festive meal to celebrate two birthdays. While the room is beautiful and the food very good, the service was simply awful from the moment we sat down. We could not have been more ignored by the staff who seemed clueless. It culminated in having to chase down a waiter, having waited endlessly with our dessert menus for someone to take our dessert order. They need to seriously sort out the staff.
Fabulous! Fresh, seasonal, joyous cooking and knock-your-socks off flavour with no fussiness, foams, ‘trios’, artful zig-zags of jus on the plate, or hidden extras on the bill. Terrific free homemade bread (pumpkin, sunflower seeds and rye - utterly delicious), nettle risotto (melting and zingy), lamb with morels and beef with harissa and wild garlic labneh. All memorably good. Friendly and relaxed ambience. Only spotted one tie. Nobody telling you that they ‘need the table back’. Even the cheapest bottle of red (£27) on the menu was excellent. I’ll be back - just don’t tell my bank manager.
We enjoyed the sratch menu, beautiful dishes & amazing wines & great staff
Great food. I love the whole concept of the Scratch Menu because it makes sure that no food is wasted. Service and the overall environment at the restaurant is excellent. However I wish the portions were bigger since they are quite small. Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Service was efficient but not friendly. We ate from Scratch menu as main menu very expensive. No choice on menu but food was good if very small portions, after 3 courses and bread, we went away hungry. We drank fruit cooler which was tasteless and once again small and at £5.00 per glass not worthy. All in all it was a very disappointing experience.
Took some Japanese friends here before going to a show. The best part was the bread.
Lovely restaurant with high ceilings light and airy. Food fresh and tasty. My only reservation was the pea and mint soup and very expensive and small starters
The best restaurant we have found in London. We will most certainly return - hopefully many times!
Very understanding as we had to make theatre at 7.30pm - everyone seemed very happy to see us!
Limited menu but each plate well balanced and very good
We went for the scratch menu, 3 courses for £20, which was excellent value, meal was very good. Great location for theatres. Staff we’re friendly and attentive, but not smothering. Lovely ambience, an enjoyable experience.
The food is always exceptional. Great value for an exceptional but light lunch.
Attentive and friendly service, expert wine and food pairing advice, creative and superbly-crafted food, all in an ambiance that was elegant but relaxed and unpretentious. The best dining experience we have had in London ever.
Really, really friendly staff who made our visit extra special! Scratch menu was great, well-worth a try if you don't have any allergies and aren't a fussy eater!
Very nice restaurant to enjoy whit family or friends
Loved my second visit to Spring. Wonderful food, impeccable service and the most beautiful surroundings.
This is my favourite restaurant in London. It’s beautiful, the service is fantastic and the scratch menu is great and exceptional value. The surroundings are elegant and calming. The staff are so convivial and work very well together - you always have a laugh with them as well as them being engaged, on the ball and passionate about their work.
Possibly the prettiest restaurant in London.
and the food is divine.
