Sri Suwoon Thai Restaurant
white walls, bold graphic photography and international music, the ambience is young and cool. Chef/patron Pat
has created a menu that offers all your favourite Thai classics as well as a few more modern dishes as well, and the menu changes from time to time to reflect the freshest produce available each season. The short, affordable wine list has been selected to complement the Thai flavours and the staff are keen and helpful. Sri Suwoon is one to try.
We booked a table for four for 2.00 pm on a Friday assuming the restaurant would be quite busy. unfortunately we were the only customers and the ambiance was therefore zero.
However the food was excellent and the service very good. I am sure when the restaurant is better frequented the atmosphere would be fine. All four of us would certainly recommend the restaurant based on the quality of the food and the value for money.
We arrived for a pre theatre dinner, and were pleasantly greeted. Had our pick of tables as we were eating embarrassingly early! We had a gorgeous bottle of the Cloud Factory sauvignon blanc. Highly recommend! The starters arrived really quickly - tom kah goong and tempura chili prawns. Both were delicious! We then had chicken red curry and chicken mussaman curry, and a shared pad thai. Food overall was very good, but the pad thai was somewhat disappointing. Not the best we've ever had. Nevertheless, we would certainly return if we found ourselves in the area. Service was swift and attentive.
Nice food, nice setting, friendly staff. Would recommend for couples or small groups.
Best Thai restaurant in London. Quality of food, service, decor, spacing..
Excellent food, real Thai taste and perfect ambience. Have made it one of my favs in town!
Always a pleasure to eat here. Great place to meet and chat to people as it is not too loud.
After a few years absence, it was a delight to return to Sri Sawoon, where once again our little group enjoyed the same relaxed atmosphere, friendly and courteous service and delicious food. Sri Sawoon succeeds because you have to know it is there, in the quiet part of Victoria/Pimlico known to the local residents and their friends, away from the main tourist trails.
Great location, loved the relaxed ambience, and the food was good value.
Excellent! I've been three times now and the food is always brilliant. The service is good too. And on top of this, it's also reasonably priced, which is amazing for a small Thai restaurant in the heart of Pimlico. I cannot recommend Sri Suwoon enough.
Excellent food in a very nice village style location.....hard to believe you are in central London!
Ambiance was nice and quiet and the service was quick and attentive.
All in all a very nice dining experience.
Have been before, always enjoy visiting and am never disappointed. Incredibly accommodating, very friendly without being intrusive and in a lovely environment. The food is also superb. Look forward to returning!
Really good food, great value for money - would visit again!
Excellent neighborhood Thai restaurant -- the ambiance was better than average Thai restaurants, service was spotless, and food was authentic and delicious. It was such a delight to find it close to our London hotel.
It is a great place for a good meal and to catch up with people. The staff are attentive and friendly.
Great little place hidden away from the hustle and bustle of London the duck was nice but green curry was very watery and the Singapore noodles had no taste but pancakes salt and pepper ribs and chilli mushrooms was nice my Mrs ordered a coke and watched her open the can pour in the glass and charge £2.70 for it which I personally thought was a liberty
This was my first visit and I definitely want to go back. I had the crispy duck pancakes and a Thai green curry and they were delicious - the curry was one of the best I've had. The wine was good and it is all reasonably priced. Great ambience and service. Loved it.
The venue was cute, in a quiet part of Victoria so good for a catch up with my friend. The food was not to my liking. I usually really like Thai food, but the food tasted more like Chinese and not very flavourful. Decently priced.
Excellent all round. Daughter wanted to buy more food to take home.
Service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious! Great place for a nice, relaxed meal in Victoria.
Over the years I have developed a passion for Sri Suwoon which re-ignites every time I vist.
Fine varied menu, food beautifully prepared, service and general atmosphere enchanting.
Although it is a neighbourhood gem, I have brought friends from all over the globe to eat here, none of whom have ever expressed less than complete delight with the experience.
This is a great little restaurant with very good food and very good service. It has great choice on the menu. I always enjoy coming here.
Bit too quiet for a lunch time (Thursday lunch time). With only 1 other table occupied it made you feel self conscious having a conversation. Food was a bit average with very little spice. The green curry was really just chicken in coconut milk. Service was fine. Wouldn't return at lunch. Maybe it's a bit of an evening place?
After many 5 stars reviews, I had a high expectation on Sri Suwoon. I’m not Thai but I grew up in Asia and travelled to Bangkok many times, it’s not the taste I had in Bangkok or other Thai restaurants in Asian countries. It doesn’t matter whether it’s authentic or not as long as it tastes good, unfortunately I didn’t satisfy with the food quality, sorry but no next time.
Meal out with friends - great food. Few vegetarian starters, but several good choices for main course. Wine was good.
Quiet meal on Monday night - great!
The food: authentic Thai food
The restaurant: great ambience
The location: on a quiet street, not on the main road
Went for an early dinner before seeing a show. Very easy to get to from Victoria station. Quick friendly service, good food and reasonably priced
Great food and friendly staff. Ate far too much .Would definitely eat there again
Great place with friendly staff and excellent food.
Very authentic Thai cuisine served in a pleasant restaurant. Very convenient for Victoria Station and the passport office and open from 1730, so good for pre-show dinner.
Never fails to please great food and wonderful service
Pretty disappointing Thai. We had a a chicken and a prawn red Thai curry and both were overly creamy with very little actual flavour or spice. Sticky rice wasn’t good and just turned into a ball of mush with the curry sauce. Would not return
I booked this after reading Trip Advisor reviews and I could see why the feedback was so good.
The food and service were great and so I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for authentic Thai food. I shall be back.
Delicious food with friendly service. Very authentic and quick service. Would visit again and would recommend.
Good value neighbourhood Thai - recommended ppppppp
2nd visit..a great find tucked away just a stone's throw from Victoria coach station! Fantastic food and busy even on a Tuesday
Great place, fab food and lovely surroundings. Well looked after.
Pimlico gained a fine Thai restaurant with Sri Suwoon when years back the owners of the popular Blue Jade sold up and moved away. In the past few years, the kitchen has raised its game even higher (another Chef?) and the food on offer delights on every level. The Manager and Staff are incredibly helpful, the room is now even more pleasant than in years gone by so altogether indeed a neighbourhood gem..but one also highly praised by friends who've driven here from the further reaches of London.
Best Thai food I have ever had. Extensive menu and a choice of 3 specials also. There were three of us and each dish was delicious. Spice level adjusted upon request. Restaurant itself is very nice. Service was great. Generous portions. Would definitely recommend
As good as ever, took my Mrs for the first time and she loved it.
Waiter took ages to come over to us,
The service was not great either
