Sri Suwoon Thai Restaurant
white walls, bold graphic photography and international music, the ambience is young and cool. Chef/patron Pat
has created a menu that offers all your favourite Thai classics as well as a few more modern dishes as well, and the menu changes from time to time to reflect the freshest produce available each season. The short, affordable wine list has been selected to complement the Thai flavours and the staff are keen and helpful. Sri Suwoon is one to try.
Very good food and very good service. Nice place to dine.
When we first went into the restaurant, we were a bit dubious as it was located on its own, no other restaurants were about and it was really quiet inside. However, the food was brilliant and the staff were so accomodating and helpful. They substituted some vegetables for my friend and made my dish more spicy upon my request. I was also pleasantly surprised how reasonably priced the whole meal was. Will definately be returning and have recommended it to friends who work closeby.
Good food, good service and reasonable price.
This is an excellent restaurant. The service was excellent. The food was amazing!! We haven’t had such good Thai food ever!! The wines were good as well. Overall it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!!
Great food and service!
We met a long lost friend here and wanted a quiet space for catching up sri suwoon was perfect in everyway. The service was excellent, food very good in a lovely light room. We will definitely go back.
Great service, good hospitality. Manager really working hard.
Food served fast. I liked the fact that the slat content was low in the food which really doesn’t always make you taste the food, especially if it’s been also made really mild for a Thai. I didn’t feel the spices which I guess most customers aren’t looking for real spicy authentic Thai. Nonetheless the place was good because of the attentiveness of the staff and the service.
Overall good but the food could have been tastier! We both felt that the food was missing something.
This place is a gem. Very warm welcome, and the food could not be faulted. Especially enjoyed the mixed starters and the chicken with ginger. Very convenient for pretheatre dinner.
Lovely place and great food. An oasis in the middle of victoria. We've been a few times and it can get busy but worth the wait.
Great little Restaurant in the heart of London. Very friendly staff, lovely tasty clean looking food with great value or money.
Nice little find and the food was yummy! Not a big restaurant, which makes for a lovely change. Would definately recommend if you like Thai food.
Loved everything about this restaurant from the service to the food. Came on a Tuesday night for a date night with my husband. We made a reservation however, it being a Tuesday night I don't think it was necessary. The atmosphere is quaint and has a romantic feel to it especially with the dim lighting which we liked. There were a couple of large parties which made for a very loud noise level but it did not bother us. The sampler appetizer was our favorite thing since it had a little of everything. The ribs in the sampler stuck out in flavor and I wish I ordered them for my entree. We also ordered tamarind duck with a side of fried rice and shrimp pad Thai. Everything was great and we left satisfied and stuffed.
We booked a table for four for 2.00 pm on a Friday assuming the restaurant would be quite busy. unfortunately we were the only customers and the ambiance was therefore zero.
However the food was excellent and the service very good. I am sure when the restaurant is better frequented the atmosphere would be fine. All four of us would certainly recommend the restaurant based on the quality of the food and the value for money.
We arrived for a pre theatre dinner, and were pleasantly greeted. Had our pick of tables as we were eating embarrassingly early! We had a gorgeous bottle of the Cloud Factory sauvignon blanc. Highly recommend! The starters arrived really quickly - tom kah goong and tempura chili prawns. Both were delicious! We then had chicken red curry and chicken mussaman curry, and a shared pad thai. Food overall was very good, but the pad thai was somewhat disappointing. Not the best we've ever had. Nevertheless, we would certainly return if we found ourselves in the area. Service was swift and attentive.
Nice food, nice setting, friendly staff. Would recommend for couples or small groups.
Best Thai restaurant in London. Quality of food, service, decor, spacing..
Excellent food, real Thai taste and perfect ambience. Have made it one of my favs in town!
Always a pleasure to eat here. Great place to meet and chat to people as it is not too loud.
After a few years absence, it was a delight to return to Sri Sawoon, where once again our little group enjoyed the same relaxed atmosphere, friendly and courteous service and delicious food. Sri Sawoon succeeds because you have to know it is there, in the quiet part of Victoria/Pimlico known to the local residents and their friends, away from the main tourist trails.
Great location, loved the relaxed ambience, and the food was good value.
Excellent! I've been three times now and the food is always brilliant. The service is good too. And on top of this, it's also reasonably priced, which is amazing for a small Thai restaurant in the heart of Pimlico. I cannot recommend Sri Suwoon enough.
Excellent food in a very nice village style location.....hard to believe you are in central London!
Ambiance was nice and quiet and the service was quick and attentive.
All in all a very nice dining experience.
Have been before, always enjoy visiting and am never disappointed. Incredibly accommodating, very friendly without being intrusive and in a lovely environment. The food is also superb. Look forward to returning!
Really good food, great value for money - would visit again!
Excellent neighborhood Thai restaurant -- the ambiance was better than average Thai restaurants, service was spotless, and food was authentic and delicious. It was such a delight to find it close to our London hotel.
It is a great place for a good meal and to catch up with people. The staff are attentive and friendly.
Great little place hidden away from the hustle and bustle of London the duck was nice but green curry was very watery and the Singapore noodles had no taste but pancakes salt and pepper ribs and chilli mushrooms was nice my Mrs ordered a coke and watched her open the can pour in the glass and charge £2.70 for it which I personally thought was a liberty
This was my first visit and I definitely want to go back. I had the crispy duck pancakes and a Thai green curry and they were delicious - the curry was one of the best I've had. The wine was good and it is all reasonably priced. Great ambience and service. Loved it.
The venue was cute, in a quiet part of Victoria so good for a catch up with my friend. The food was not to my liking. I usually really like Thai food, but the food tasted more like Chinese and not very flavourful. Decently priced.
Excellent all round. Daughter wanted to buy more food to take home.
Service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious! Great place for a nice, relaxed meal in Victoria.
Over the years I have developed a passion for Sri Suwoon which re-ignites every time I vist.
Fine varied menu, food beautifully prepared, service and general atmosphere enchanting.
Although it is a neighbourhood gem, I have brought friends from all over the globe to eat here, none of whom have ever expressed less than complete delight with the experience.
This is a great little restaurant with very good food and very good service. It has great choice on the menu. I always enjoy coming here.
Bit too quiet for a lunch time (Thursday lunch time). With only 1 other table occupied it made you feel self conscious having a conversation. Food was a bit average with very little spice. The green curry was really just chicken in coconut milk. Service was fine. Wouldn't return at lunch. Maybe it's a bit of an evening place?
After many 5 stars reviews, I had a high expectation on Sri Suwoon. I’m not Thai but I grew up in Asia and travelled to Bangkok many times, it’s not the taste I had in Bangkok or other Thai restaurants in Asian countries. It doesn’t matter whether it’s authentic or not as long as it tastes good, unfortunately I didn’t satisfy with the food quality, sorry but no next time.
Meal out with friends - great food. Few vegetarian starters, but several good choices for main course. Wine was good.
Quiet meal on Monday night - great!
The food: authentic Thai food
The restaurant: great ambience
The location: on a quiet street, not on the main road
Went for an early dinner before seeing a show. Very easy to get to from Victoria station. Quick friendly service, good food and reasonably priced
Great food and friendly staff. Ate far too much .Would definitely eat there again
