ST. JOHN Bread & Wine reflects the rhythms of its locale whilst observing the same respect for seasonal, indigenous ingredients and "the whole beast" as the bigger sister restaurant. Currently opening for dinner, Tuesday to Saturday, this branch very much beats its own drum with a menu structured towards a slightly less formal manner of dining, with guests actively encouraged to share dishes as they're ready from the kitchen.

As well as selling goods to take home from our bakery, wines by the bottle or the case can be bought from our lists to take home with some delivery available.

Bread & Wine has been voted Best British Restaurant by the Evening Standard and named as best value restaurant by The Observer Food Monthly.

Food was delicious, very fresh and tasty. Staff were very helpful and good with recommendations. There was a lovely vibe to the restaurant and it had an authentic vibe - and overall good value for the amount of food we had -10/10

No one can afford to pay for (or indeed should have to abide!) small portions of mediocre, expensive food. Well... no chance of that here! The food is absolutely brilliant, there's thankfully loads of it and it's fantastically served by an awesome front of house team. And don't get me started on their "Fergroni". Oh my God, writing that just now makes me want to stop writing and go there RIGHT NOW for another one... or two... or... who's counting?!? Thank you St. John Bread and Wine!

Some of the best food (and bread!) in London though not sure our server was right to assure us the pie we were sharing was enough for 3. Also would’ve liked something in addition to mushy peas as the only hot green vegetable

Been to this restaurant and the others many times before and never had any problems. Food as always was amazing but the service really let our experience down this time, Ive never had to do this but we asked for the service charge to be removed. Im sure other waiting staff are very good but we felt that ours plus the manger needs some training before we visit again.

The food is amazing! Flavor bombs in every bite. The wine was a great complement to the meal. Service was cheery and polite, but a bit sloppy (brought a drink to me by mistake, kept me waiting for the bill), but those were minor nits.

Still my favourite restaurant in London after decades. Just like eating at an old friend’s house. Brought all my friends here when they visited London. I’ve always told them to order anything and everything you fancy because everything will taste great. But please save room because we will have the best madeleines in the world for dessert. Got another appreciation approval from my friend visiting from the Netherlands and she even said she would come back again next time she’s in town halfway through our dinner!
