Stanley's Bar & Grill
At the risk of sounding a little over the top, Stanley’s Bar and Grill is like a theatre of food where you have been given front row seats and a chance to meet the stars beforehand. Open kitchens allow you to watch a team who just love preparing your food, however this is not pretentious dining In Stanley’s bar and Grill service is about a smile, whether family dining at the big table or time out on the terrace with a table for one you get to choose. This is the life we have created at Stanley’s and we invite you to join us.

Great setting and great food, just a little over priced for what it was, however, I would certainly stay and dine again here
Booked for our 1st wedding anniversary as we had our wedding reception in the rum warehouse! Lovely touched by the staff for our anniversary which made our evening that little bit more special! Waitress was really friendly and attentive! Food was amazing as always, will defiantly be returning.
Gorgeous place to eat, cocktails were fantastic, food was out of this world and our server was fantastic, lovely guy. We had an amazing time. Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely evening. Family celebration where everyone enjoyed their meal and service was excellent. We finished the evening off with coffee in the hotel lounge listening to very entertaining music. A lovely evening.
Lovely restaurant but not so lovely food. Very over priced for what it is, I paid £20 for a main that was tiny and the taste was not worth the price at all. I was still very hungry afterwards so had to eat elsewhere too.
Lovely meal with family. Nice quiet surroundings with good attentive service
Beautiful venue but felt the menu let it down- very small selection so it felt like a hotel restaurant rather than one in its own right. Expected more and glad to have tried it but won’t be in a rush back
Great food in a lovely environment. Waiter was really lovely. Not Michelin starred cuisine but that’s not what we wanted or expected and you pay for what you get! Just good tasty food. Would definitely recommend.
Not enough staff, consequently too much waiting for service or attention. Also in my case, despite when ordering requesting that the salmon should not be be overcooked, it was indeed served so and was therefore tough. It was replaced, and the second attempt was significantly better, but the time taken was excessive meaning that I was left to eat my meal after my wife had finished hers. We ate on other nights in this restaurant, and on one evening had to return a steak as medium rare rump was served virtually raw. This was handled with professionalism from an attentive waiter called John, and I thank him for looking after us well on that night. We feel that although this restaurant appears capable of producing good food it is somewhat of a lottery, especially as it may well have waited a significantly long time after cooking before actually being served at the table. They have the potential to make this a very good restaurant but need especially to improve on their service attention at times.
We booked the table for our first anniversary but didn’t feel very romantic, not enough variety on the menu and bland food. Quite disappointed and we also had breakfast the next day which was very disappointing the bacon was rock hard the sausages were bland and mass produced, the mushrooms were slimy and the tomatoes were tasteless.
Fantastic food and quick. No sitting for ages waiting for your next course. Service and menu knowledge and advice from waiter John was impeccable. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return and recommend to others.
It was a fantastic food, service and fun
The staff made us feel very welcome and were very attentive. The food, whilst good, was not, we felt, outstanding for the price that we paid. I would say that the starters were better value than the main courses and desserts.
Love the dining room. Decor is really attractive, giving it a nice vibe. Derelict building next door isn’t pretty but doesn’t put you off eating.
Service was Goodish. Our young server was only into day 2 of her job but she started off well then got a bit mixed up later when the wine, sauces and mustard were a bit late coming.
Food, sadly, was typical pub food cooked alright but nothing special. My medium steak took some chewing! We had probably by the lunch we had elsewhere earlier that day.
Would I go again? Probably. I love the place and enjoy being there with a quality glass of rum. Would be more careful choosing what I had next time.
Booked as a package with hotel stay. Food fabulous, never had a steak as tasty and was cooked to perfection. Excellent attentive staff too.
Lovely food and nice touches for my fiancée’s birthday meal. Waiter, John, was wonderful, really made the effort, total gem.
food looked and tasted beautiful. We will definitely be back
Really nice atmosphere and the staff really friendly
Food was amazing great value
The Veal escalope and the service was excellent. Great location.
Great food lovely atmosphere well worth a visit
We stayed at the Titanic and booked here for our first night. The food was lovely but the service was very poor. We were left for 40 mins after our main course without even being asked if we wanted drinks. No one asked about tea or coffee etc. Hardly any staff and very poorly organised but the food was delicious
Quite hard to find and a bit off the beaten track. Staff not helpful,we’d never been here before but were unable to catch anyone’s eye for help even though it was very quiet. Service very slow. Food ok and reasonably good value but the staff definitely let it down
We had a fantastic 25th anniversary meal at Stanley’s bar & grill. Despite being relocated to the bar area for dinner - the Roma F.C. team trumped us! - our meal and overall experience was exceptional.
We both opted for the sirloin steak - stunning - followed by dessert recommendations by our waiter John.
All the staff were superb, special call out to John who was knowledgeable about the hotel, Liverpool and the menu. He made our meal fun.
Also to the overall manager Gerry. Thank you for looking after us so well.
Simple menu, well executed. Surroundings a bit industrial for my taste. Service very good indeed.
I'm afraid the food didn't live up to the menu or the pricing. It was well presented but mostly tasteless. Almost £300 for a simple dinner for 6 I thought was expensive, especially when you are asked to pay for the car park when you leave!!! We eat out regularly and do have much better food for two thirds the price. Our waitress was nice and helpful though. I think this place is mostly catering for the corporate/business and overseas guest. In summary, a nice place but expensive for what it is.
The food at the restaurant was excellent and the staff were friendly. It’s about my fourth visit to the hotel but probably my last. The service was fast and intrusive. The waiter leaned over us to collect cutlery during the main course and interrupted us on too many occasions. By contrast it was impossible to get table service in the bar and the background music was too loud and echoey. The hotel is aspirational and the food lives up to this but the service let’s it down. A disappointing 50th birthday event.
Went here for a meal. Husband ordered the scallops but you only got two tiny ones and then he got the fillet steak which he said was ‘alright’ I expected more for £35quid to be honest. I got the sea bass as a main and it said it came with rice, it arrived with no rice but litterally a sprinkle of hard toasted grains of rice, it would have been nice to of been advised this when I asked if I needed any sides. It was alright basically, we had a gift card but I’d of been quite disappointed if we were to have paid the full bill
The staff we’re lovely and super helpful but considering this restaurant is in a luxury hotel the food wasn’t great at all for the price I was paying £15 for a burger that I could have got at Burger King.. the side salad was awful and limp lettuce, dry tomato and a dry limp piece of gherkin.. not impressed..
One of the worst dining experiences for a long time unfortunately.
Restaurant had a nice ambience and our waiter was lovely, but that's about it.
Food selection was poor and misrepresented . We had the tear and share bread which was rock hard, flavourless and really poor value for money.
My partner had the veal at £26 which came with a few chips and some grated parmesan, woefully presented and nothing worth the amount it cost. He said it was just ok.
I had the sea bass which said rice and sauce. I checked the the waiter who said yes and when it came the tiny overcooked sea bass was presented on a warm salad and veg concoction , with a few strands of very hard rice thrown over for decoration. One of the worst dining experiences for a long time.
To top it off we got ripped it to the tune of £80 and all I got for it was a very poorly tummy!
Would I go again, apsolutely not! Would I recommend, never!
What a shame as it has the potential to be so much more....
The table was booked for the Stanley Bar but due to a private function in there we were seated in the Rum bar where proper table seating had been set up. (The Rum bar is usually sofas and low tables not suitable for eating a hot meal - this we found out disappointingly last year). The staff are very friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble and it is service with a smile. The food is well presented and nice and hot when it arrives. Portions are very generous. The only niggle is the car park charge, don’t see why this is when we where spending the better part of £200 for 5 covers, (only one glass of wine included in that price by the way, 5 main meal, 4 desserts and 5 coffee) the car park fee should be refunded when you are spending in the hotel.
Disappointed in poor quality food. Resturant is beautiful but food was awful. Gutted as it was our wedding anniversary.
Great place a little too dark to see your food unless they put you near a lamp. Would definitely eat there again
Stayed at the Titanic and dined with my 12 year old son for his first trip to Anfield. The food was excellent, great Steak and Fish dishes followed by the best Sticky Toffee Pudding EVER!!!!
Drinks menu extensive including any kids mock-tail you want. My son was made to feel special throughout and the staff are so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Well worth the 4.5 hr drive and my son and is desperate to return the same time next year...
We had a lovely meal here for my birthday. The service was great, unfortunately our order didn’t reach the kitchen and we did have a 35minute wait but the manager was so kind and apologetic (we hadn’t even complained). Overall we had a lovely meal and had money knocked off the bill. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for great customer service.
Excellent food, great setting but very slow service. Such a shame
Really enjoyable meal and service was excellent, cant say more!
The building and ambience is very good and the food is good for casual dining.
Amazing Place right on our door step! Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Service was very efficient, friendly and not rushed. Very nice atmosphere and surroundings. We will be back on numerous occasions, even though we live in Chester.
Excellent venue, great staff, nice food made for a very enjoyable night.
