Had a very enjoyable visit on our 25th anniversary. Booked table for 8 o'clock but running late by half an hour but not a problem as we sat and had drinks. We were brought canapés crab tartlet, langoustine in tempura batter with chilli dip and a scallop tartlet all delicious. Didn't mind running late as we were in no big hurry and chilled out. We both had Gressingham duck breast, delish followed by scrumptious puddings. Food well cooked, full of flavour but without being too ostentatious. Like that all locally sourced. Service good and friendly though suggest that staff have opportunity to taste the food to give a knowledgeable opinion on all the courses although to be fair we were told it was a new menu so probably not had chance to sample. If you like somewhere quiet in which to enjoy good food, drink and conversation then recommend. Would visit again. More

Service was excellent. Restaurant is an ideal place to take children to eat prior to a visit to the cinema. More

Went on a Saturday night so the service was a bit slow compared to daytime in the week. Food lovely as usual apart from Jamies 'take' on the Tiramasu which was not good. Why he has to mess with something to the degree that it is hardly recognisable I don't know. Went upstairs originally but changed our minds due to the noise of an area crowded with groups. Downstairs was not so busy and consequently quieter. Prices a bit on the high side too but likely due to being in the city centre. More
