    As a table of 8 meant that we were probably the noisiest table. Service was good, food orders were 100% correct. I had croquettes which were ok, followed by steak and lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster was a little on the lean size so I only got 2 or 3 mouthfuls of meat from it. The wine was delicious. We didn’t have dessert so can’t comment.

    I have booked this restaurant several months ago for after dinner theatre in Tottenham Court Road. I was rather disappointed with the service from the staff who had difficulty understanding what I was saying. I’m not sure whether they have limited understanding me as I am soft spoken or just not bothered about making their customers feel comfortable. I have ordered surf and turf and I have asked for medium rare. The £44 steak and lobster came rather quick but the steak was fatty and chewy. As I came with gift vouchers; the bills came in with really hefty amounts. This is certainly not value for money and in the future I was certainly not coming here again. Really disappointed and would not recommend to anyone who would like lobster and steak for dinner.

    Just an awful all-round experience. They decided to lock the front door to the restaurant in the middle of service for a staff meeting despite there being guests inside and us standing outside trying to call to get in(!). The front of house were pleasant but utterly clueless - not knowing about allergies at all, not aware of our booking, how food is prepared. The food was totally bland and for some reason the chef decided to scoop out all the body and head meat from our lobster. We paid for a full lobster but didn’t get it! The steak was bizarre - par-boiled almost. It was tender for sure, it didn’t taste or eat like a nice steak. That particular restaurant is utterly devoid of any atmosphere. More like a very brightly lit modern museum cafe. Just all round a very weird experience.

    Two courses and a carafe of wine each came in at £100 a head. Food was very be,ow average, the service extremely confused. Plenty of other places that are better and more reasonably priced. Avoid.

    Would recommend the Marble Arch branch as that’s all I’ll be visiting from now on. After mistakenly ordering the wrong thing, the manager refused to bring out a different starter because the waitress sneakily brought it out of the kitchen despite us asking her not to, as we confirmed we ordered the wrong thing whilst it was still in the kitchen.

    Excellent food and service. The restaurant’s lighting is too bright though and didn’t really feel like a restaurant of this calibre. Cannot complain about the starters, mains, desserts or drinks but I would have just expected a completely different internal look of the place for the amount you pay (and the fact it was a Friday night).

    Lovely restaurant and it was also very clean. The food was lovely. The broccoli came cold however this was quickly sorted with an complimentary dessert which was delicious. My only issue was the waiter failed to inform me there was alcohol in the starter dip, and I do not drink alcohol. I feel it is important to let people know when there is alcohol in certain dishes, due to religious or specific requirements an individual may have. He did apologise, when reporting this to the manager her comment was “ I’m sure you enjoyed it though because it’s one of my favourite dishes” which was very out of order. She also asked me how I knew there was alcohol in the starter, which was besides the point. She did offer a discount on my next visit however, not sure I would go back to that specific venue just because of that comment, however may visit another branch in the future.

    When we arrived for out 5pm booking, the staff were not expecting us. I could see that we were on the system, they clearly just hadn't checked it. The lights were on full & very bright in the whole room and at one point someone was hoovering further down the room. It all felt quite unprepared. Later in our sitting, the light were turned down to a setting you'd expect in a restaurant. The food was lovely, but the staff were not attentive at all. We had to ask to order both drinks & food after waiting a while. I had booked this table to celebrate my birthday with with my family as it was close to Warren street and looked great. My partner had thoughtfully brought a cake along for the end of the meal and after some not-so-subtle conversations with the staff they agreed that they would bring out the cake at the end, but we weren't allowed to eat it there, or they would charge £5 per person. That felt ridiculous to us. Overall, an nice, but strange experience and we probably won't go back.

    Visited for the second time after a very enjoyable meal several years ago. Sadly unlikely to return, Service was good, almost too attentive with a constant interruption on whether my husband would have a glass of wine from the bottle in the table, to which he responded many times, not just yet. In the end he allowed them to pour so that the servers would stop asking. However they were pleasant, attentive and hard-working. The decor is tasteful and music at a pleasant level. I was unsure why out of the whole restaurant (which was not busy at the time we arrived) we were led to a tiny, rickety table very close to another party. There was plenty of space and it felt as though we had been given one of the worst tables in the venue, too close to the other party and furthest from the facilities, that wobbled every time you moved. We booked earlier in the week, so we were not unexpected guests. Every time the staff attended to the table next to us, I had to lean to the side so as not to be knocked. Disappointing but in expectation of the meal I let it go. The meal itself was an incredibly disappointing experience. For starters the beef tacos. 90% onion so overpowering that it was all I could taste. My husband had the surf and turf croquettes which were nice and the best part of the meal. For main the surf and Turf and medium rare steak. What I received was a medium well thin cut of gristly meat, with a dollop of chimichurri sauce covering an area of bone, and half a lobster… the empty half. I had to shred the thing to find a mouthful of meat within. The steak was tasteless and overcooked. My husband had a sirloin and said it was no better than a beefeater value meal, overcooked and gristly. Worst of all, nothing to clean your hands in! So a lengthy walk to the bathroom to wash my hands after the hunt for the promised lobster. For a £160 meal, we were left hungry, dissatisfied and in need of mints after the pure onion starter.

    Food was ok, sides were really nice and the dessert was good (T bone steak,fillet steak main ,cheese cake dessert ) and the staff was excellent ….to be truthful a good evening out …. and I’ve had a lot worse for more money so overall I would return and try the lobster next time ….so well done Steak and Lobster 👍…….

    Ate here before attending a show at the Bloomsbury Theatre. Even though we had an early booking (5.30) the set menu on their website was not available. The food was good however my main course (lobster macaroni cheese) was under seasoned and not very cheesy and there was no salt and pepper on the table. The service was very over eager - constantly removing glasses, cutlery from the table when it wasn’t really necessary and if we hadn’t insisted we weren’t ready they would have whipped away the starter plates and plonked down the mains - all within 20 minutes of sitting down!! Same with the dessert - even though we said we wanted a break we were asked every two minutes if we had decided. We gave in in the end and just ordered. It all felt very rushed - and the restaurant was almost empty.

    The other servers were very friendly, however upon telling a waiter my medium steak felt like it was done medium well, being asked in a very condescending way to cut it in front of him and explaining that medium rare has blood (which I already know) I just told him it was okay and dismissed the situation. However that was a very condescending experience, they were questioning me instead of trying to make my experience better. There was another man serving us food and he was much better and friendly. But I didn’t like the attitude of the previous server.

    Good value for money and food was really good. We had a slight hick up with my daughter’s steak. She asked for rare but it came out medium to medium well. There was no issue when we brought it to our waitress’ attention and the steak was promptly replaced with a rare steak. She was also provided with a mocktail on the house.

    Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. We came on NYE and had the set menu. The starter was very bland and poorly done, little effort put into it for the price. The steak was actually very nice but everything else felt a lack of effort and very average for the price we paid. A starter was also spilt over my partner but no apology, they did replace this though. You could see the staff were trying their best but it was hectic and just a very manic experience. Wouldn’t go back unfortunately!

    The food was fine, but a little disappointing for the price. My lobster mac 'n' cheese tasted great, but the sauce was a bit thin and runny. It would have been nice to see some additional garnish with both the steak and the mac 'n' cheese, if only a sprig of parsley. Service was great though.
